Monday Night at VBS!!

Crocodile Rock was full of fun and excitement as 107 kids and 87 adults kicked off VBS on Monday night. The Bible story was brought to life as children pretended to be sheep and were led over a mountain by shepherdess Hope Pitts. She shared the story of Moses and the burning bush. From this story, the children learned that God is always with us. The memory verse was from Exodus 3:12–”God answered, “I will be with you.’” The kids then went to the cabins in the gym for “family time” with crew leaders who led them in a discussion about the story of Moses and the burning bush.

Children also enjoyed singing new songs with the worship band, made crafts, had a snack, and played games during recreation.

Helping Others/Doing Your Part

Several important opportunities to serve at Bethlehem are available for July through December. A list is in the foyer for you to sign up to change light bulbs, change furnace filters, sharpen pencils, ring the church bell, collect attendance papers, and more. If you are already serving in any of these capacities and wish to continue, please sign up again.

Bethlehem Church Softball, Saturday, June 27, 6:00 pm

The annual Bethlehem Church softball game will be held on Saturday, June 27 beginning at 6:00 pm at the Jeff Johnson stadium. All males and females are invited to play age 12 and older. Wiffle ball will be available for those age 11 and younger

Christian Missionary Fellowship Annual Benefit Supper

The Christian Missionary Fellowship Annual Benefit Supper will be at Glen-dale Park in Fawcett (near Peebles) on Saturday, June 27 at 4:30. All proceeds will go toward materials for missionary building projects. If you have questions, see Dennis Forsythe.

Elementary Mini Golf–June 23

VBS is coming!!! Please plan to join us at the bayou for a week of fun at Crocodile Dock … where fearless kids shine God’s light. We’ll sing in the Sing & Play Swamp Stomp, hear stories in the Bible Bayou, make some cool things in Crawfish Crafts and more!

Like many other congregations, missions, and Christian organizations and schools, Bethlehem’s finances are very tight right now. Our leaders will give an overview of the situation, explain some ideas to cut spending, and talk about where the basement project stands.

Flower Time

Since we do not have a paid landscaper at Bethlehem, we have to rely on volunteers to take care of things. Our many volunteers are already in place for mowing & bushhogging, but not for flowers.

We need one or two people to set out summer flowers (one partial-sun bed, one full shade). Then we need a rotation of people to water as needed, and 2 or 3 others to maintain the flowers. Sign up in the foyer.
