Alex Wrekk: Feminist, zinester and author Alex Wrekk is one of the most prolific and well-established zine writers in the US. Her book, Stolen Sharpie Revolution is the definitive DIY zines manual for both novice and experienced zinesters. She has over 15 years of zine-making under her belt and has been publishing her perzine Brainscan since 1997.
Isy Morgenmuffel: In addition to spending the last ten years documenting the her world in her comic zine, Morgenmuffel, Isy Morgenmuffel is co-author of Another Dinner is Possible, which, more than just a vegan cookbook, includes everything from brewing your own beer to and making Korean food to vegan parenting and the history of food.
Edd Baldry: Radical illustrator and creator of the zine Monkey Riot, Edd Baldry also acts as editor of Last Hours, an online and occasional print zine for the anti-authoritarian, DIY and punk communities.
Tom Fiction: A resource for creative resistance and now involved with Last Hours, in his teens Tom Fiction played with several punk-bands and wrote a handful of zines.
Natalie: In 2003 Natalie helped set up the Black Star Collective, which squatted empty buildings in London putting on radical events and punk shows. Since then she has been involved with zine projects, including starting the London Zine Symposium, and other political events.
Steve Larder: is an illustrator with his zine, "Rum Lad," as his primary output. He has an interest in documenting small town culture, (being from one himself), in an effort to preserve their idiosyncrasies and localisms.</summary><content type='html'>When: Tue Sep 28, 2010 7pm to Tue Sep 28, 2010 9pm

Upon graduating from Harvard undergrad, 85 Broads member Alexa von Tobel realized that nobody had taught her the basics of managing her personal finances. The issues were myriad: renting an apartment, opening a retirement account, properly filling out her W-4 form at work, etc. The traditional sources such as books and the library were of no avail and her friends were just as thirsty for good advice as she was. With this in mind, she left Harvard Business School to start LearnVest, a website designed to help any woman savvy enough to use the internet master her personal finances. LearnVest provides trusted, interactive, and educational articles in a clear and approachable manner for free.
