After their memorable performance in award-winning film ‘Jaago’, the duo Ferdous and Bindu is set to give another tremor to their fans as they have been cast for director Rafael’s new film ’69 Patla Khan Lane’.

The artists have already started shooting at different locations of the 400 years-old capital.

Delighted Bindu says, “I got the proposal to do the role all on a sudden. I have really liked the story and that’s why I have rearranged my schedule according to the demand of the director Rafael. Previously I have performed with actor Ferdous in the much-acclaimed film ‘Jaago’ and we have discovered a nice chemistry between us. So I hope that we are going to present our viewers a movie to remember.’

Actor Ferdous says, “From the title of the movie, it is easily discernable that the story is based on the lifestyle and surroundings of the old-gold Dhaka city. It’s a different kind of story and I am enjoying the role of a ‘Dhakaiya Kutti’ who is the husband of Bindu.”

Her debut film ‘Bolona Na Tumi Amar’, directed by MD Manik, will be released across the country on October 22. Popular actor Sakib Khan is playing with her in the romantic movie.

Keeping this occasion in mind, the producing company of the movie has arranged some live programs in various channels and community radio channels of the country.

From the very first day of the release Shokh and Sakib Khan are scheduled to attend at least 15 cinema halls throughout the country to promote the film.

Thrilled Shokh is getting ready for this big occasion: ‘This is my first big screen movie. So at this moment I am too much excited to express my feeling in words. But I am practicing to be articulate to express my feeling and excitement to the audience during the tour. Sakib Bhai told me that, if I be in the hall among the viewers then it would be much easier to find out my faults which I would try by best to improve in future.’

A TV channels are also airing drama serials, in some of which Shokh will perform important roles.

Shokh is also a dancer. She began taking lessons on classical dance by the time she was a mere girl of three and a half years. She has practised a lot for many forms of classical dances–Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Manipuri and Odissi. However, she is better at Bharatanatyam and Odissi.

“I did my first modeling assignment for television in a ‘Fair and Lovely’ advertisement. Since then the hassles associated with fame followed me. Even when I went to buy ice-cream, people used to stare and say isn’t that the girl from the ‘Fair and Lovely’ ad?”

“Most troublesome was my appearance in the Lilly soap advertisement. Everyone used to call me Lilly after that. When I went to shop I was charged extra and had no other option but to buy products at a higher price. It still happens.”

“The thing that bothers me most is that I just can’t go and sit at a roadside Fuchka and enjoy a snack. A mob appears out of nowhere. Roaming around in rickshaws is also impossible. Once I went to Gausia, but soon a crowd started following me, forcing me to flee.”

“Even when I am flying somewhere, people come up to me and ask for my autograph. I think to myself that even mid-air is not hassle free; where should I go?”

It’s an item song of a film tittled “Dhanmondi-8″. Bangladeshi heartthrob young singer Mila and Arefin Rumi sung jointly for first time in this item song. The song has composed and music directed by Arefin Rumi.

About the song Mila says, “I am feeling happy about the song. It’s my first work with Rumi, his composition really good. The song specially written for young listener. Me also going to act on this movie”.

Director of the film Himel Ashraf says, “The film shooting will be start on next December. Dhanmodi road-8 is the main shooting spot for the film and other shoots will be taken at Coxsbazar and Dhaka”.

Popular music composer and singer Arnob has earned huge acceptance by music lovers for his admixture of folk and classic tunes in songs. He has maintained the style in his latest album “Rod Boleche Hobe”.

After a long interval Arnob has released his 4th solo album that is now available in market.

Arnob is considered an exceptional singer among the young music lovers. He has developed a different taste by his music talent among the audience.

The singer has also composed the tune of the twelve songs of the album. The songs include “Pratidwani”, “Chithi Pathoa”, “Ke Ami”, “Iniye Biniye”, “Mon Kharap”, “Ekti Meye” and the album’s title song “Roud Bolechhe Hobe”.

A comic book, illustrated by the singer, is also given with the album as gift. Commenting on the album Arnob says, “I released the album taking some time. I have sung the songs in my own style”. He hopes that the audience will enjoy the album.

“Actually, I don’t like working in so many plays. I only express interest when I find a good script”, she says.

She points out that she is busy at the moment with plays mostly for the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha including “Before Eid-ul-Azha”, “Apur Ekdin” and “Path Bhule Dhekha”.

The script of the drama “Apur Ekdin”, directed by Mahfuz Ahmed, chronicles a whole day in the life of Apu, who cannot put up with pervasive anomalies in the society. However, like others, he is compelled to avoid such annoyances.

“I am taking the role of the beloved of the young man, who loves the man passionately”, Monalisa concludes.

Glamorous actress Shabnoor is presently studying in Australia on film making. She has a keen interest to become a film director in future.
