I just can’t say enough about this sweet family. I photographed Kellie’s senior pix in 2009. Now, 7 years later, Angela and I get to be a part of her biggest day yet. This was a truly beautiful blue sky day. No clouds at all and wildflowers blooming all around us. A bride couldn’t want more. Kellie and Aaron, we wish you two the very best and a lifetime of happiness.

Announcing [Tween] photography – for middle school age rock stars

I have two daughters. While they are sometimes dramatic and slightly chaotic, I love them both. Watching them grow into young women came with it’s share of changes in attitude, maturity and appearance. One year they like bangs, the next year it’s curly hair, then straight hair, braces, makeup…etc., an ongoing process. It has occurred to me that the biggest change didn’t occur in high school, it was middle school. In middle school, they sort of still look like that little girl but you can also see that young woman about to emerge.

Angela and I are announcing [Tween] photography. We are dedicating our packaging and sessions towards fun, creative and personality driven middle school age rock stars ages 10-13. Our sessions start at $125 (4 outfits) and include indoor studio and outdoor locations (up to 3 locations) of your choice. We also include a viewing appointment so that you can see your images on our 7 foot projection screen. We offer a very wide variety of digital and print packages, albums, wall portraits, metal prints, slim wraps and gallery wraps.

Lee and Danielle’s wedding album

Loved this wedding and this couple. They are so sweet and we felt a real connection to both families. Held at the historic Lookout Mountain Fairyland Club, the day started off with a super clear view of downtown Chattanooga Tennessee. Lee and Danielle and so cute together. This made photography a little easier for Angela and I. It’s always best if the couple gives you the right emotion up front rather then having to ask for it. All I had to do was ask Lee and Danielle to start talking to each other then watch the magic happen.

Their wedding album collection from Album Epoca included: 1 -12×12 brides wedding album and 2-10×10 matching parent albums + 4 purse/pocket albums.

Jennifer’s Bridal

It’s very rare that you know a bride as long as I have known Jennifer. In fact, she’s my daughter. Last August, we celebrated her marriage to Pablo Afman on August 2nd. The wedding took place at Barnsley Gardens in Adairsville, Georgia. No, I didn’t take her wedding day photography. I trusted another professional for that. But I did get to see her in her wedding gown for the bridal portraits at Berry College in Rome Georgia. She was georgous and the setting at Berry College was perfect. We shot most of the bridal images at Ford Hall then moved to Swan Lake and Frost Chapel. What a beautiful day and most of all, a beautiful little girl now turned bride, my daughter, Jennifer.

Britney and Matt’s Wedding Day

Britney has an amazing flair for detail. I noticed this at her bridal shower. I arrived as she was putting the finishing touches on the design of the food table. Her wedding day was no different. From the table center pieces, to the entry wedding sign, to each and every design detail, she placed her undeniable stamp on all of her wedding details.

I loved working with Matt and Britney, an incredible gorgeous couple. The lighting was fantastic since we had a slightly overcast day. One of the worst things to try and work around is bright sunlight. It affects skin color, shadows…etc. When days are overcast, we can photograph anywhere we like and the light is always good. But Britney and Matt look great no matter what kind of light they are in.

The wedding day was hosted by Stratton Hall in Chattanooga, Tennessee (A beautiful location for anyone looking at renting an event facility). Dan Carey of Cakemakers, Etc. did an amazing job as usual on Britney’s wedding cakes. A Big Tado served as official caterer for the event. Mike Key provided the sound.

Kaitlynn and Joshua’s Engagement

Kaitlynn and Joshua are counting the days down to July 12, 2014. Their wedding is taking place at Lindsay Street Hall in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This was a natural place for us to start taking photos. Angela and I thoroughly enjoyed being with Kaitlynn and Josh. They have been dating a while since meeting in high school. Now it’s time to permanently declare their love for each other. Kaitlynn’s parents, Tom and Tracey Reed have been a big help. We all go to the same church together, Parkway Baptist in Fort Oglethorpe, Ga. We love it when members of our church family ask us to be there to photograph one of the most important days in their life.

Married – Laura Shrader and Chandler Smith, Grand Oaks, Cartersville, Ga Wedding Photographer

Last Saturday, Angela and I were blessed to be among long time friends photographing the wedding of a very special girl that was marrying a really special guy. We have watched Laura grow up right before our very eyes. Seeing her first as a baby, then toddler, then little girl to young woman. She is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. We last photographed her senior portraits about 6 years ago. Being her wedding photographer was icing on the cake for Angela and I.

She and Chandler choose Grand Oaks in Cartersville Georgia as their wedding location. Although we have never been there, we were pleasantly surprised at how beautiful it was. The massive columns on the front of the house initially got your attention. Then the brick path on the side of the home lead to a beautiful garden out back. Once there, we were amazed at how many portrait locations there were to work with. After a beautiful wedding reception, the bride and groom exited in a vintage Buick car. After a little work getting the old car started, they left to well wishes from everyone.

Laura and Chandler seemed to really enjoy seeing long time friends and relatives. Our very own daughter, Jennifer served as one of Laura’s bridesmaids. Blessings Laura and Chandler, we wish you both the very best!!
