I’ve seen a few subscription boxes geared for women’s “time of the month” but Bonjour Jolie is one of the few boxes I feel does it right.  With Bonjour Jolie, you’ll get a monthly box geared for that time of the month, but with some really spot on pampering perks beyond feminine care products-  this box was gorgeously wrapped and had some awesome beauty products that will have you swooning!

Every woman needs tampons and pads during her period, but seriously- we WANT some new lipgloss, luxurious body lotion, pampering bath salts and of course some delicious teas and some Advil (cramps suck!)

This box was packed with value and everything came wrapped like a gift in gorgeous bags, tissue and there were some pink rose petals in there as well!  I loved the Stila lipgloss and the Hempz and Pureology samples.  The tea is delicious and of course, the Advil will come in handy.  Two things I adored about this box was that the quality was high for only $16, so you get plenty of value and the presentation is superb.  Additionally, I loved the convenience of it-  I can easily stock my purse with the items in here to take to work, on a trip or keep in my “purse emergency kit” for a time I might need it.  Value and convenience- plus, it looked PRETTY. Now, I know I should still have gone to the grocery store, but instead, I sampled. Hey, it’s my job to review these things and give my honest opinion, right?

Let’s talk about Paleo for a second. It gets a bad rap because it tends to attract zealots. But basically, it’s a grain-free way of living. So, while I don’t exactly like their dogma, I know I can trust a brand that has the word “paleo” in it. Simply because that means it passed muster with the “caveperson” crowd and doesn’t have anything gross or chemical in it.

I was sent so many different things. Jerky, PaleoStix (one with spinach flavor!), dried fruit, a cereal-type product called “PaleoKrunch” which I haven’t tried yet, but it looks amazing.

The first thing I tried was the buffalo chicken jerky. I’ll be honest: it looked a lot like something you give a dog. I suspect dogs would go nuts for it, actually. But it tasted amazing. Seriously wonderful.

Doing good things for kinds

The beauty of these goodies is that you do not need to eat like a caveperson to enjoy them. AND they give a portion of their proceeds to this program for underprivileged youth, so they can go to Crossfit for free. They’re a really cool organization, one worth supporting. Healthy treats for you, healthy kids in general? What’s not to like?

It’s a bunch of little snacks. Lots of chocolate, some non-edibles, plenty of coupons.

All right, friends, I have to admit something. I cannot be trusted around snacks. Like, at all. The snacks, they talk to me. I can put them in my desk drawer, but I can still hear them.

“We’re probably delicious. You should do a taste test,” they say.

And so, I ate all of the edible stuff in two days.
