It took 113 days from start to finish but we are homeowners again!  We closed on the house last Thursday.  After a very frustrating few days and our builder making updates and changes to the house until the very last minute we did it!  The title company came to our rescue and agreed to close at 8:30pm on the day before a holiday weekend!

My husband moved some of our stuff from storage on Sunday and I spent all day Monday and Tuesday getting it unpacked and organized.

Our brand new Haverty’s furniture is being delivered on Friday and our BIG move in this Saturday!  Wish us luck!

First on the calendar is Kindergarten Graduation!  Tuesday my little boy graduated and becomes a 1st grader!  Boy does time fly!  I can’t believe my little man is growing up so fast! It seems like just yesterday that he was graduating from pre-school.    His 1st grade teacher has A LOT to live up to next year.  My son absolutely adores his teacher and I am not sure any other teacher will be able to take his heart quite the same way she did.

Next on the list of things is buying our new house!  We will be busy with final walk thrus on Tuesday, inspections on Wednesday and then closing on Thursday!  Time does not seem to have flown through this process and I am excited to have it come to an end!  I am extremely excited to nest and have a family home that is ours again.

My daughter will be performing in her very first dance recital on Saturday.  We have TONS of family coming into town to see her and she is beside herself happy.  Her costumes are adorable and she has been practicing since August for this.  I can’t wait to see how much she has learned.

So there you have it…my week ahead is so exciting.  You may not see a ton from me in the upcoming weeks.  I have a lot to get done and situated with the new house.  Here comes SUMMER!

I have been trying to figure out when to take my blogs to the next level. When I am going to be ready to take that leap and really get serious about making blogging my full time, undivided attention, serious job.

I think the time will be approaching in a few years. Right now is certainly not the time. I am more focused on the upcoming move, summer and getting settled. Just because the time isn’t here now doesn’t mean I don’t want to start planning for the future of Sales MOMS, Country Music Tattle Tale and Because I Wanted 2.

I have decided my first baby step into taking my blogs to the next level will be to attend at least one blog conference in 2012. I want to stay within driving distance to TN but am definitely ready to step out of my comfort zone and start meeting other successful women bloggers.

WHEW!  I haven’t been this excited to see a weekend in a long time.  What a week!  Busy doesn’t event begin to explain what this week was.

The school year is closing so we have lots of activities for the kids.  My son came down with a 102 degree temp and strep throat and in the middle of that we are finishing up the house!

Good news is there is an end in sight!  We close on May 24th!  There is a lot of noise going on at the house this week.  Granite was installed, trim work is being finished up, the stone work on the front of the house was completed.

Bad news is we are seeing a lot of things we are going to have to have them correct when we do our walk through next week.

• The grout on the tile floors looks horrible!  They used way to much water when they wiped it and now they are going to have to stain the grout.
• The pantry shelves are not stable enough to put heavy weight on.  They are going to have to add some sort of support so they don’t sag.
• The fireplace still has not been lifted off the ground.
• They did not tile the storm shelter closet floor.

Those are just a few of the things we caught.  I am sure once we walk through with a fine tooth comb there will be lots more to point out.

So excited to finally have an end in sight!  Closing on May 24, moving the weekend of June 2nd and CMA Fest is quickly approaching!  AHHHHHH!

It’s the end of the school year, the new house is almost done and we are busy getting packed and ready to move!

I feel like everything is happening all at once and I am a bit overwhelmed today!

I finally got back into the gym today (after an entire month of being gone)…… OUCH!  Reminder to self….NEVER take an entire month off from the gym again!

Summer is just around the corner!  I mean right around the corner.  The kids are finishing up their last month of school and we already have tons of plans for BBQ’s, sleep overs and summer fun!

With us moving into the new house early next month we are excited to get unpacked and make the place ours.  One of the biggest projects we will be taking on when we move in is getting the wood privacy fence installed.   In order to save some money the hubby is planning on taking this project on himself.  It will be a lot of work for him but it will be well worth it when it is completed.
