Damron's achievements range from placing in multiple mud obstacle course races to 5% body fat to placing in local half marathon's. His goal is to shape an all around fit and healthy body. So, you probably won't see him beating out the amazing Kenyan marathoners or lifting cars at the World's Strongest Competition, but you might just see him dominating your next triathlon. The Become a Beast podcast is your source for achieving your physical fitness and health goals starting today.</itunes:summary>

Do you want to look like the world record marathon runner or the world’s strongest man? I don’t want to look like either. I want to become a super athlete.

In Episode #34 of The Become a Beast Podcast, I discuss how I became a super athlete, how I am attacking this approach again and why I suggest this over a sport specific approach.

Click here to listen, rate, and subscribe on iTunes)

I ate (almost) perfect for 6 months. I worked out at least everyday but Sunday and often 2-3 workouts each day. I was extremely focused in my attack and I achieved the results you see to the left.

I didn’t become some malnourished marathon runner and I didn’t become a 300 lb hee-man. However, I was able to run a half decent marathon, continue lifting significant weight, and was capable of competing and placing in athletic events that served a well-rounded athlete (pic to the left: 3rd place San Diego Mud Run).

You don’t have to give up the benefits of one fitness approach for another if you are willing to put in a lot of time and energy to building a balanced fitness attack.

Hope you enjoy the podcast and as always…
