Broadcasting Minister Craig Foss today announced the appointment of Wayne Walden as the Chair of Television New Zealand (TVNZ).
&amp;ldquo;Mr Walden has been a member of the TVNZ Board since last year. He brings solid industry experience to the role, having also spent four years as the Chair of Māori Television,&amp;rdquo; says Mr Foss.
Mr Walden sits on the boards of Ports of Auckland Ltd and Arcos Investments Ltd. He was previously a Managing Director of the Farmers Deka retail chain and served as Chair of Tranz Rail.

Broadcasting Minister Craig Foss has today announced the appointment of Miriam Dean QC as Chair of NZ On Air.
Miriam Dean is the President of the New Zealand Bar Association, Deputy Chair Auckland Council Investments, a director of Crown Fibre Holdings and a trustee of the Royal New Zealand Ballet. Previously she has held a number of significant appointments, including a period as Deputy Chair of the Commerce Commission.

Broadcasting Minister Craig Foss today announced details of the Government&amp;rsquo;s Going Digital Targeted Assistance Package.
&amp;ldquo;To keep watching TV, all New Zealanders need to go digital by getting Freeview, Sky or TelstraClear,&amp;rdquo; says Mr Foss. &amp;ldquo;Nearly 80 per cent of Kiwis have already done so and are enjoying more channels, better pictures and new services. People are going digital all the time and we expect nearly 90 per cent of New Zealanders will have gone digital by May 2013.
