If yes then join us at The Caribbean Rum & Beer Festival that will be held in Barbados on the 19th & 20th November 2010 is a celebration of the region’s wide array of locally produced rum and beer products. The venue for the festival will be the grounds of Portvale Sugar Factory, one of the very few remaining working sugar cane factories in the Eastern Caribbean.

During the 2 day festival in Barbados, Rum Distilleries and Breweries from throughout the Caribbean region will set up their stalls and provide patrons with the·opportunity to try over 100 diverse rum and beer beverages. They will also vie for the Gold, Silver & Bronze 2010 Caribbean Alcohol Beverage (CAB) Awards.

Rum is part of the heritage of the Caribbean, produced from the molasses from locally grown ‘King Sugar’ for over 300 years. Almost every island in the Caribbean has its own rum distillery, and this has been followed in more·recent times with a local·brewery.
