Hey. I am really beginning to dislike going to work. How much crap can one person take before someone goes psycho? I spent a lot of time bitching about work on my other blog so I don’t want to do it here. But this is the largest reason why I am not writing much or even posting some little tid bit from my life. Also why I am in a bad mood most of the time. Yeah so there you go.

I have to make sure to get some new socks for Sunshine and I. It seems like every time I go to the laundromat, I come home with less socks than I started. The boyfriend doesn’t have this problem, he always has the same amount of socks. I wonder where those little socks go, does the washer eat them? Or do they get stuck and there is huge vat that collects all the socks from the washers and dryers and someone comes by once a year, collects the socks then adds them to their biggest sock ball collection. Hey I don’t know it can happen.

Or maybe the sock makers have deals with the laundromats because the more socks people lose, eventually they will have to buy more socks. Ha that is a good one.

Today I want to relax because I don’t have to go in until later on so maybe it won’t be so bad tonight working maybe I can actually think about something to do with writing.

Until the damn comes, drink all the rums

She is aware of the chemicals that go into her body and tells how she plans on getting rid of them. She also posts pictures and her current weight so you can track her progress along with her. What I like about this blog is that even though she is doing this for herself, she probably inspires many other people to follow in her footsteps and try to live a healthier life.

I only a winner by default but that is all good. I some how managed to paint and write a poem for the last WOOF contest. I really like the painting, in my opinion I think I did a good job. In fact I did a better job with the painting then I did with the poem. I don’t want to toot my own horn or anything. Well someone’s gotta do it.

So for the past WOOF contest there was just me and Zorlone. So check out his poem.

Poetry

Zorlone – “Short Visit” – Traveling to a place down under, but only finding out that it was meant something else.
Jennifer M Scott – “Beyond the Yellow Brick Road” – A painting of ink and water color and a poem inspired from it, surreal work.

Are you one those people that enjoy wearing some kind of accessory to match the season or an approaching holiday? If so and you wear eyeglasses, you might want to check out Zenni Optical. They have holiday fun eyeglasses and many of them are under $20 per pair. This includes the lenses as well.
These are more of a winter scene because they sport snow and trees and a skating scene. Zenni Optical has Christmas frames as well.

I talked about Zenni Optical before, in fact I even bought my glasses from there and I am very happy with the quality, the look and the price of my eyeglasses. They are the home of the $8 Prescription Zenni Glasses. I paid $8 for my glasses. There plenty of new arrivals everyday so be sure to check them out.

what is it about this night,
the pale blue sky before twilight
the endless headlights fading into the horizon
a lazy full moon not casting anything
but eerie reconnaissance,
dark mountains and hibernating forests cling
to thick shadows.

piss warm stale coffee from the convenience store,
soft whispers from the tires to the road
and the highway offers a lonely fulfilling solitude
a chance to recollect on why this night
feels like another night from long ago
when the moon still terrified me.

more whispers as the sky
falls into black leather, save for the moon
that still stares.
Thoughts spill into coffee,
a wonderment through words,
know my true myself though I am
still the maple leaf swept up with
the November winds.

I can’t remember where the deja vu feeling is come from,
the coffee is all gone and
soon I better find a place to water the plants
because this feeling
will come again the older I get
and the only thing I can hope
for is when everything is gone
I can finally remember something about the
feeling of this night.

Halloween was terrifying for Northwestern. I know its Monday and I am late with this but in my opinion though a winning game for the Lions is just a quick stepping stone for the a huge game this Saturday! I don’t remember my point spread but the Lions win 34-13. Currently, the Lions are 8-1 for the season and 4-1 for the Big Ten Conference.

Next week at Beaver Stadium, the Lions take on the Buckeyes. In my opinion, Ohio is not doing so hot as they normally do. They are 7-2 for the season and 4-1 for the Big Ten. Ohio lost against Southern California, and that is no surprise there but they also lost against Purdue, by a small margin. My prediction is the Lions will victor over the Buckeyes but it won’t be easy. My prediction is 17-14, Penn State.

If you are looking for something different to read you may want to check out the League series by Sherrilyn Kenyon. The series starts with Born of Night and continues with Born Of Fire which will be released November 3, 2009. I am not fully sure what these books about but I know one thing this is whole new world created by Kenyon and there is paranormal happenings in there ( the paranormal part is according to several book reviews).

I read an <a href"http://officialsanctuary.com/league_series/born_of_fire_excerpt.html">excerpt and from what I read, she is good the writing is clean and interesting. I would like to read more of this book. I entered the contest to win a free copy of Born Of Fire so maybe I will have a chance to read it.

I have a few minutes before I have to get ready for work. I get to drive the new vehicle today. It is a 95 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, we got a hell of a deal on it. I just took it for a spin with the boyfriend to the bank and to the gas station. It has a lot of power, it is a v-8. It is going to take some time to get used. The jeep is pretty much perfect and should be good for the winter because it has 4 wheel drive.

I am kind of pissed, I requested 6 days off in a row so I don’t lose hours but have a small vacation and I wasn’t approved for at least half of it which sucks the big kitten. I wanted to use that time to write and work on Dragonfly Poems. Well what are you going to do. Nothing. There is nothing to do about it. It just pisses me off because I am only part time so I don’t get vacation and I am always there, I just wanted some time away from that place and do things I like doing.

I still have to work on that poem, maybe I should write it at work then when I get home transfer it to the painting then scan in the painting. I like the painting, it was done in watercolors and ink. It is surreal. Of course, I am sure you already expected that to begin with.

Well it is 10:30 and I need to get ready for work.

Go get the jam and into our mouths we cram.
