Do you believe that you can have love and success, or are you one of those pessimists who believe that having a balance of the two is just a mere fantasy? We are taught as we grow up to make education our main focus, to pick a career goal and stay focused until we achieve the dream. Placing the opposite sex on the back burner in our early stage of development is probably the wise choice but this requires a lot of focus and determination.

I believe that both male and female can rise to both occasions provided that we learn to prioritize and choose a mate with similar interests. I don't think it is so much important to have the same goals, but both need to be goal oriented and have a mutual respect for the others dream. Both parties also need to be serious about cultivating a loving and prosperous environment in which the offspring can use as a model for their futures. When the ideas don't match one can become drowned out by the others plans and determination. The relationship becomes strained and the children and sometimes even members from our extended families are affected by our poor life structure.

So continue to tap into that greatness that lives in each and every one of us. In order to achieve this necessary balance you will need to know who you are and have a strong sense of direction. When we possess insecurities it is easily picked up on by our mate or potential mate as well as those individuals we meet along the way who can possibly help make or dreams a reality.

If your heart is geared towards having a successful career and being in a loving relationship don't give up or settle because if you do you will always have a void spot in your life, an emptiness that can be avoided by continuous self exploration and by maintaining a positive outlook.

Putting God first will keep it all in perspective.

In Berlin a company called "Animal Board" has opened its doors to pets. Yes, this new Soup Kitchen designed strictly for dogs was created with the homeless and unemployed in mind. These canine lovers are very passionate about providing free meals despite the financial crisis that is towering over the companys head.

Director Claudia Hollm responded to criticism stating "Nowadays people underestimate dogs. They are incredibly important for those who lack social contact with other humans," Hollm told Reuters. "Making sure dogs don't go hungry is just as important as making sure that people don't starve," she added.

This follows the launch of a new bus service in Berlin for dogs, which shuttles their furry friends to a luxury dog day-care center.

All you Eminem fans, go ahead and get excited. He's expected to drop his 6th album before the new year titled "Relapse", and one of the new tracks is titled "I'm Having a Relapse". No official release date has been set. This announcement was made October 15th during an on-air radio launch party for his new book "The Way I am", which was hosted by DJ Kayslay and Angela Yee on Sirius Satellite Radio. Do you set goals for yourself only to abandon them? The majority of us set goals on a regular basis especially New Years Resolutions which we really desire in our hearts to accomplish but fail miserably to follow through with. One of the biggest problems with keeping promises to ourselves and staying focused is because we have so many distractions. Our plans seem to drift out to shore in no time flat. We need to take it back to the old school study method of READ IT, WRITE IT, SAY IT!

Example

GOALS

I. Quit Smoking

PLAN

1. Limit myself to 1 cigarette every 4 hours

2. Research proven methods of quiting and success stories on the Internet

3. Find out if there are any support groups available

4. Pray about it

Now that you have your goals down on paper, be sure to place them somewhere in plain view. Post them on the refrigerator, on your office wall or keep the document opened up on your computer if you are a daily user. Don't forget to READ IT and SAY IT. Word is that this is another technique that will put your subconscious mind to work and help you to overcome.

The Promise!

Yesterday we had heavy rain, mixed with thunder and lightening. This was slowing us down from getting out to see my father who is currently in the hospital in ICU. When the storm subsided we got in the car and just when we were about to exit our sub-division we caught hold of one of the most beautiful sights. This was the most vivid and complete rainbow I have ever seen. It was truly a sight to behold.

The first time I saw a rainbow in the sky I was about 10 yrs old. I have seen this maybe once since then, but I always seem to catch the tail end of it, when it's all about to fade away.

This time it was actually a double rainbow, a full arc so I just had to make a UTurn and go back to the house and get my camera so that I could catch it before it disappeared. The pictures really do it no justice.

It's All In The Vision

One positive thinking technique that has been proven to work very well is envisioning things that you want to come to pass or "deep thinking". Do you have a goal that you would like to accomplish? If so it might be a wise idea to take time out to meditate on what ever it is that you would like to see happen in your life.

Whether it be a personal goal such as weight loss or a career goal like starting your own business, this can really begin to shape the outcome of the situation.

If you want to loose a few pounds you would simply envision yourself thinner, putting on a pair of jeans that you never thought you would be able to wear again or imagine yourself working out. Maybe you've always dreamed of being the employer instead of the employee . You can imagine yourself stepping into the office space that you own, sitting at the round table of an executive meeting or your secretary contacting you to get your approval on a matter.

Whatever the desires of your heart are keep on pushing until they come to fruition.

Tyler Perry Finds a New Home

Film maker, prime time show producer and actor Tyler Perry has upgraded to a new multimillion-dollar TV and film studio Saturday on 30 acres in southwest Atlanta. This comes after much resistance from neighbors complaining about noise and traffic at his old location close to downtown Atlanta.

The self named Tyler Perry Studios is the former home of Deltal Air Lines' finance, reservation and computer center which posesses more than 200,000 square feet of studio and office space. The five sound stages are named in honor of some of the oustanding pioneers in black entertainment such as Quincy Jones, Sidney Poitier, Ruby Dee and Cicely Tyson — with one still unnamed. He will shoot his TBS sitcoms "House of Payne" and "Meet the Browns" along with other film projects at the studio.

Janet Jackson Hospitalized

Janet Jackson has been hospitalized and is currently being monitored for an illness that so far has not been specified. Jackson 42 years old is currently on her "Rock Witchu" North American tour. The news came after the show in Montreal was canceled on Monday. W&W Public Relations says that Jackson hopes to reschedule the show.

Developing A Balanced Personality

One of the problems that many people face today is the lack of balance in their personality. This unbalance usually tilts towards more respect for family and people you know or showing most of our love towards total strangers. I personally have family members and friends who tend to display this type of tendency and I have recognized this flaw even in myself.

Though it is very important to spread our love outside of our immediate circle, sometimes we just take the people we know for granted. For many the problem lies in the stress and hardships in our lives, which can begin to mold us into not so pleasant people to associate with on a regular basis. But when it comes down to tilting towards the side that displays a lack of patience and a caring attitude towards the people that are the closest to us, our friendly behavior that we portray on the streets begins to look a little hypocritical to the ones who know us the best.

Lately I have been trying to correct this imperfection in myself by:

Taking a good look at myself from time to time.
Becoming more conscious of my words and attitude when addressing and responding to those I love as well as total strangers.
Working on softening my personality a little, as I know that I can come across as a little blunt and pretentious sometimes.
Correcting that part of me that tends to be a little touchy, over analyzing every word and action that is displayed towards me.

I am happy to say that my method so far is doing me a lot of justice. Recognizing the problem is half the battle and taking the time to correct it will put us one step closer to winning the war that resides within each and every one of us.

MySpace has collaborated with 3 major music labels: BMG, Universal Music and Warner Music as well as EMI, independent music distributor The Orchard and Sony ATV which holds the rights to Beatle songs.

On the scheduled launch date which is Thursday, MySpace visitors will be able to tune into millions of free songs. Users will be able to search for songs by title, artist or album. These songs can be added to a playlist with the use of an online music player.

This is the MySpace response to the music industries increasing issue of poor sales of CD’s and Albums. Even though it will not be the cure all, the tracks on the playlist will link to Amazon.com’s Music Store where it will be available for download. Ads will be served up on the player for major advertisers including McDonald's, Sony Pictures, State Farm and Toyota.

Are You A Good Pitcher?

Are you a giver or a taker? I know that it's easy to get caught up into feeling like the world owes you something. We spend a lot of our time trying to make a dollar out of fifteen cent and most of the time we still come up short. The economy is rough and we tend to think that we should hold on real tight to every dollar that we have.

I know that it's just human nature to think survival and our thoughts tend to sway towards making sure that we take care of ourselves and our families first. But, even when it comes to offering ourselves such as, our knowledge or just a plain old helping hand we still sometimes fall short of the mark.

Maya Angelou said, "I've learned that you shouldn't go through life with a catcher's mitt on both hands; you need to be able to throw something back".

I totally agree with this statement. It's not healthy to be too frugal and we shouldn't always walk around with both hands held out. You have to give to receive. The universe is paying close attention to our ways and actions. May we not have to learn the hard way. Let's get out there and learn charity and humility.

The Money Web

As we sit back these days and watch our favorite celebrities prosper beyond belief we can easily be tempted to get out there and begin to chase down our dreams with a vigorous effort to be more of a go getter just like them. Many of them are worth 100's of millions and there are quite a few billionaires springing up now. According to Forbes, Will Smith earned $80 million, Cameron Diaz earned $50 million and Oprah a whopping $275 million in 2007 just to name a few.

But, Jesus tells us in Luke 12:15, "Beware! Guard against every kind of greed. Life is not measured by how much you own."

By no means am I trying to say that any of them are greedy. I believe that many of them possess a certain charisma that naturally draws people and money making opportunities to them. Talent doesn't hurt either. But, we are not to be taken by this. Of course we should dream big and reach for the stars but we can't let it consume us.

I believe that when you begin to become a big money earner you can start to be pulled in by a force that leaves you to believe that you never have enough, which can be extremely dangerous and hazardous to your spiritual being. Always remember to keep God first and live within your means so that you don't become entangled in the money web.

Drawing the Line

Many parents tend to believe that they are responsible to live for their children in the early stages of the childs life. By this I mean that parents usually find themselves playing the role of mediator in most situations that arise. Instead we need to be teaching and guiding the children to become the self reliant, problem solvers that they will eventually need to grow into.

It's never to early to start teaching a child to think for himself. Sheltering a child can turn out to have no more than a crippling effect. One day we are all released from the bubble that our parents have created for us into the real world which we know is not taking any prisoners.

Parents need to learn how to create a relationship and an open dialogue with their children, offering solutions and advice. When at all possible allow them to deal with their own situations that arise at school and in the neighborhood with friends and piers.

Do you do your childrens homework for them? I know many parents that will roll up their sleeves and write book reports. Some are more enthusiastic about science projects than the students. It is ok and very important to support them, answer questions and push them until the end. But, Is that really you making straight A's on that report card?

Parents also tend to feel that their children can do know wrong. The truth is that when adolescence rears its ugly face anything is possible. Children become surrounded by many outside influences and unfortunately begin to feel a need to fit in and start to feel a desire to be their own person. So don't be so surprised if another adult approaches you about things they heard your child say or something that they seen them doing that appears to be outside of their character. Just remember to deal with those situations tactfully and remember that your child is only human just like you.

Being a parent is no easy job, but just like everything else, learning to define our bounderies can make it a much more rewarding experience.

As reported on Yahoo Music Kanye West commented on the downloads stating "Your prayers have been answered! There's a new version of 'Love Lockdown' coming. We used new Taiko drums and I re-sung it - it's being mastered now,". You can expect West's new album titled '808s and Heartbreak to hit the stores in December.

Internet Crunch

I'm finding myself getting caught up on the Web once again. I have spells of compulsive Internet junkie behavior. Trying to find out what's new in, the news, entertainment, making money online and of course catering to getting my blog in full circulation.

When I get like this I tend to stop prioritizing and things can get a little ridiculous when you don't take time out to put everything into perspective. I know that many people find the Internet to be very addictive, but when it begins to to interfere with normal daily life such as keeping your home in order, taking care of yourself, tending to your family and animals the line needs to be drawn.

So I decided to post about in effort to get my mind back on the right track. This past week I have found myself not wanting to take the time out to cook for my family, slightly neglecting my dog Chi Chi who is a adorable long haired chihuahua, and my daily exercise ruoutine has gone out the window.

Today I'm am making a change. I'm going to gradually step back into the real world with cheese burgers and french fries for all, my usual 20 minute walk to get a little exercise and let Chi Chi run a little so that she's not so hyper active tonight, running around the house and wanting to play catch at 2 o'clock in the morning, and I'm gonna try to force myself to watch a movie tonight.

Proverbs 3:3-4
Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart. So you will find favor and good success in the sight of God and man.

The pressures of the world are upon us all. Please listen I'm trying to holler at y'all. Many of us have a new attitude that's not too cool. If we are not careful of our words and actions, we'll start to take on the character of what many consider to be a fool. This is why we need to take time to reflect on the word of God and take heed to what he expects of us. Steadfast love and faithfulness are just two of the many tools he has provided for the just.

When it comes to showing one another respect, which is something taught to us as a child and plain old common sense. We're begining to conform to the new easy way to go, of being distateful and rude and many times it's just for show.

I know that it's becoming harder to trust people this day and time, so ask the Lord to bless you to be patient and kind. Don't isolate yourself from everyone because of the poor judgement and opinions of a few, cause you know we will be held accountable for everything we say and do. Stress can make us react very sensitively to the smallest things that people do and say. A lot of the time these are just misunderstandings or the case of someone having a bad day.

Sometimes when we're going through hardships it can begin to feel like the world is closing in on us. We can't let people rob us of our joy or allow them to shape us into what they think of us. These are tricks of the adversary. What God has written is wise and true. There are still plenty of genuine people out their. God will never put more on you than you can bare. Keep on walking in love and faithfulness until you find your place in this old world. Just a little message from me to all Gods Precious Little Pearls.

Coco Chanel

I just finished watching the highly anticipated Lifetime Red Carpet Movie Event, Coco Chanel. My mother an I have been anxiously awaiting the debut of this movie since they began advertising it in early August.

We were like little children awaiting the yearly trip to the state fair. Today we hurried about throughout the day trying to complete some of the usual Saturday tasks which included, straightening up the house, shopping and getting freshened up in order to be able to fully relax and enjoy the movie.

We ordered Pizza Hut and of course tonight the delivery man couldn’t find the house. We ended up waiting a little over an hour for him to arrive and by this time we were starving, but still grateful that the pizza was finally here.

Anyway, I found the movie to meet all my expectations, it was a great success. As it turned out she wasn’t the most genteel woman in the world (LoL), but there is a heap to be learned from her. She rose up from meager beginnings, the hardships of being abandoned by her father as a young girl, being left along with her younger sister at a young age at a convent orphanage
for girls, love woes and career setback after setback. Through all this she still managed to find her way to the top.

Coco Chanel was a very sassy lady. She wore a very tough exterior, not allowing many to break through her wall or back her into a corner. She knew what she wanted to do with her life and persevered until her dream was a reality.

She was very defiant of the times as expressed in her designs of hats and clothing in the early stages of the game. Her stubborn attitude and determination to create based on her vision and not what others expected of her has made her a force to be reckoned with. Today her line of dresses, bags and perfume is a permanent staple in the fashion industry. Coco Chanel turned out to be a hard act to follow. In 1971 when she passed away at age 85 she was worth $160 million and today her empire is worth a reported 4.5 billion.

Right now I’m watching the encore presentation of the movie and it will air again tomorrow if you have a chance to catch it.

What we should take from the Coco Chanel story is that, practice makes perfect, hard times only last but a moment, there is always light at the end of the tunnel and dreams do come true. Thank you for reading.
