Do it yourself-able

I’m a little in love with this trend as it lends itself to so many DIY projects. And one of those projects could even be the dress!

The very reason I’m sharing this inspiration board again is because I came across an incredible wedding captured by Lacie Hansen on Style Me Pretty, featuring this dress…

The dress is apparently a 
Junko Yoshioka creation and although it appears to be a rare find it did get me thinking of how you could buy a cheap simple dress off eBay and dip dye it to make a totally unique, stand-out piece.

Here’s a tutorial I found to do just that. What do you think? Too risky? Or well worth a try with a dress that doesn’t break the bank?

It’s been a while since I posted a honeymoon idea and with summer fast approaching thoughts are definitely on travel for me. A little procrastination the other day led me to discover the exotic and awesome Bambu Indah which literally means “beautiful bamboo”.

The bamboo and Japanese teak built boutique hotel is nestled in Bali and would be the perfect place to spend those first few blissful days of married life.

Even the reception got a “wow” out of me…

Suite on the water

Although all the suites look like the perfect accommodation for a honeymoon, the suite for me would have to be “Udang House” or “Shrimp House”. This particular suite is situated above a shrimp pond, with a glass floor giving you an underwater panaroma. Authentic shrimp baskets have been made into lamps to fit with the decor too.

And the cost of luxury like this? $185 per night, which is roughly £120! I’ve stayed at your basic budget hotels for more!

If all the above isn’t enough to put this down on the potential honeymoon list I’ll leave you with one last photo. It was enough for me…

I am completely in love with that last style, which I’ve learnt is called the waterfall braid: tutorial here. I’m definitely going to have to find someone who can try that one on my locks :)
