For fun, I’ve posted some images below that I shot 4 years ago (2/9/08) with some editing. Coming originally from a film background, during the 1st year and early 2nd year in business I didn’t really use Photoshop to process my digital images (gasp) and presented many SOOC (double gasp), some with only slight levels adjustments. What you shot with film is what you got. Well, since then I have spent hundreds of hours on forums, thousands on workshops and continue to educate myself–daily. What better way to improve your images than from somebody you trust? I wish I had the plethora of resources 5 years ago that are readily available for all of you new, aspiring photographers. irish eyes are smiling

This little Irish beauty has perfected what Tyra coined the “smyse” (smiling with your eyes). I’m embarrassed to even say that but it’s amazing how you can change your expression with just a little emphasis on your eyes. They are the window to your soul so open up and let it shine! I really love playful sessions like this! Yes, I told mom to let her stay in her PJ’s while we played a bit to start off the shoot. I love having kids get really silly and most of all letting them feel at ease and comfortable from the get-go. I’ve been working with this family since her 1st birthday and now with 4 shoots under her pink sequined belt she celebrated the big F-O-U-R in November. Looking forward to #5! Enjoy! xoxo

bella times two…

…and soon to be three! Those of you who follow my blog will recognize these two beauties! Nina, 18 months, I lovingly referred to as “Bella Nina” for her newborn blog post and the name has stuck ever since. This is the fourth time they have graced my blog and soon to be five when mama delivers baby #2 any day now! I am soooo excited to meet Nina’s baby brother or sister! If she is anything like her momma and sis she will be stunning or HE will undoubtedly be as dashing as dad! Yes, goddesses do walk among us mere mortals. Proof is in these images below. Yet another uber-fabulous expecting mama! Lucky me Enjoy!
