What about the Hayden Kho scandal?

But I think there are a lot more to report and a lot more to discuss on the senate, on TV news, etc. What about the schools with one teacher teaching 200 students? What about those neglected kids on the streets? What about increasing the salary of employees, like me hehehe...

Safety Lights for Vehicles

For the past few days, I went home late because of hectic schedule of a project. My good husband fetch me from the office everyday. But I am worried whenever we're going home. I'm worried about street accidents.

I hate people who just pops up from nowhere. And they are the one angry when you almost hit them.
I hate jeepneys and tricycles with no lights on. Isn't a rule for vehicles to have lights on when it's dark?
I hate bicycles with no safety lights. Please, love your life.
I hate motorcycle drivers who doesn't really know road rules. And many of the motorcycle lights are off or out!

We can't see them clearly. Next time, if we would be lucky, we would buy a new car. And we would install safety lightings like the xenon lights. The lights does look like the one on the images below.

Safety on road is still the best policy. Be a responsible motorist. Be a good road-crosser.

Have you ever heard of "Goldilocks Kid" before? Well, I'm one girl you can call a "Goldilocks Kid". Or maybe, you can call my family a "Goldilocks Family".

I got some stories to tell, memorable and special ones, in chronological order.

Classic

I'm not sure if you guys had already tasted Brazo de Mercedes, but this one is a classic and so yummy. The white outer layer is soft and foamy, while the yellow filling inside is creamy.

This roll has been a personal favorite of my mother when I am still in elementary. She finds this roll so delicious and yummy that she buys a roll almost every week. And we don't get tired of eating every slice of it. Talk about being a Brazo de Mercedes addict!

My Mother, My Sister and I

You know the mother and daughter gap, and sister and sister gap? I got a problem before like that. My mother, my sister and I are not really close to each other. You know how teens behave.

One day, my mother told us to go shopping together on Grand Central Caloocan. After checking on some clothes and pants, my mother decided to treat us for something different. We had our brunch at Goldilocks. My mother ordered three Lumpiang Sariwa and softdrinks. It's my first time to dine-in at Goldilocks. It's my first time to taste a lumpiang sariwa Filipino style.

And I had a great time eating while discussing studies and grades and stuff with my mother and my sister. The bonding moment became a habit. And it started because we want to eat Goldilocks lumpiang sariwa in the mall.

My First Dinuguan

Would you believe that my first taste of Dinuguan was when I was in my early college years? Again, college years! Yes it's true.

It's December I would never forget. Someone had been so wise to buy and sell Goldilocks cakes and food at the market, as a short time business for the Christmas season. Her short time business is a success. And one of the "suki" buyers was my mother. She bought dinuguan for a difference. The verdict? We love the taste of it!

The Official Birthday Cake

We don't usually celebrate our birthdays with cakes. But at that time, my sister and I are already working. So every year, when it's our sister's birthday, we buy a cake. We tried the Goldilocks Black Forest. We never tried other flavor of cake on her birthdays. It has been the Black Forest every year for her birthday. Weird as you may call it.

Note, we only celebrate with a cake only when it's her birthday. We don't buy a cake for our other sister. It's like an instinct to buy a Black Forest on her birthday only. Part of the reason is because the fortunate sister has her birthday on about the middle of the year. Okay, we're weird.

My Ex-Boyfriend

My ex-boyfriend bought an Ube Cake from Goldilocks to "court" my family. It's my first Ube Cake. And I think it's the same case with my parents and sisters. Every guy should know that one should court her girlfriend's family. Or should I call it befriend. Unfortunately, he left. But I do remember him sometimes when I buy an Ube Cake. Hmmmm.......

And then, for a long period of time, I hadn't had any Goldilocks cakes and meals to fill me in. It is when I met my husband. I became too busy with my work, and with all the task I should prepare with our wedding. I am trying to save money at that time. I even don't take snacks at the office, even if I can hear my stomach shouting. A good office mate did treat me for snacks. Thanks to her.

But then...

Desert For The Sick Berry

I was pregnant for the first time. But I was admitted to the hospital after two weeks of blood dripping down there. On my 2nd day at the hospital, my sister bought a Window Cathedral for me, for a difference. Everybody was buying mamon! The mamons are for me and the guest. But the cathedral is just for me. Well about 1/4 of it. The other parts were eaten by my father who was also admitted on the same hospital. Some other fractions where eaten by my sisters.

Thank God my father is safe. He was on the ICU for several days. And thank God my baby is saved.

Craving for Sago Gulaman

At the start of my 4th month of pregnancy, I started to crave for a lot of foods. But the top 3 in no particular order of foods in my list are french fries, taco and Sago Gulaman.

The french fries and taco can be of any brand, can also be home-made. But the sago gulaman, it should be of Goldilocks. "Maarte dila ko eh". I think I'm having Goldilocks sago gulaman two times a week, for about three to four months. I would go to the mall just to buy that sago gulaman.

Now as I'm writing this blog, I'm craving for sago gulaman! But I promise and assure you, I'm not pregnant.

So, am I a certified Goldilocks Kid? All I can say is that... You're the 1 Goldilocks, because you made some part of my life become special and memorable.

I got a lot of different weird thoughts. Am I a lunatic? I don't know. Is it possible that I got a little mental problem, or I just have this wide imagination and if's?

"Kaninang" afternoon, after drinking some of the instant coffee mix (thanks veeboy), I got this wild thought...

Would a girl ever make sex with someone on a clown costume?

Then I stopped programming and then thought, would I? I did try to imagine, then I said "no way"!!! The clown might turn into a mad man and kill me!!!

I really don't like a clown. But when I saw one on the street, I do wave and shout "Hi" excitedly. That's because that's the reality. Clowns makes people laugh. That's their job and that's what they're good at.

But as of the thought of a clown, I really don't like clowns. I guess I hate clown stuffed toys and I am afraid of clown mannequins. I hate mannequins in dark places too. As how I and other people are so much afraid of big spiders, that's how I am afraid of mannequins on dark places.

I Want My Headphone Back!!!

I bought a headphone so I can listen to music while working without others inside the room.
One of my boss' niece asked if he could lend the headphone. He'll brought the headphone upstairs. Our office is my boss' house.
After several days, headphone was not yet brought back.
Several days more, I asked if the headphone is still in use. Boss said he'll get it for me. He tried to look. He didn't found any headphone.
After some days, I asked again while we're upstairs having lunch. He said that he'll get it. Then he checked the tables. Found nothing.
After some days, when all of us were upstairs having lunch, I asked again. But I got this not-so-nice (I think) tone "Yung headphone? Bakit, kailangan mo ba?". Then later I got this "Nandyan lang yun, hanapin mo na lang."
I tried looking for it. None. Wala.

I got this bad impression na. Buti na lang I don't buy expensive headphones like skullcandy kundi talaga naman!!!

I still got some issues with them that I do always tell my other boss. Since we got the girl who applied through this blog, if ever those issues happened again, ewan ko lang!!! Pay day issue! Ok lang sa akin, but there are times na I really am expecting the money because I need the money.

My daily task:

Wake-up early in the morning, because baby Ivan wakes-up early.
Take care of baby Ivan if he wakes-up before 8:00 am. He's usual wake-up time is 5:30am to 6:30am.
Get ready to go to work, rushhhhhhh!!!
At the office, working, sometimes surfing. And sometimes, I have naps unconciously because of sleepiness! I don't mean to. I really don't know that my eyes are closed. If my boss read this, it's okay. I know they know hahaha.
Try to sell stuff.
Go home, eat dinner, then take care of baby Ivan.
blog? facebook games? If I still have some strength/mana like right now, then I would be online.

I can feel that I'm kind of weak these past few days. Ivan's new sleeping habit has also affected me.

Ivan on toys

Ivan got some toys from my boss for his 1st birthday. I still hadn't took the pictures of his new toys, but those toys are wonderful. We don't buy expensive and educational toys for Ivan. The toys he got are educational that focuses on the baby's motor skills.

Last week, I saw a mini plastic basketball court that is designed for babies at SM. It worth PHP 1,000.00. When the baby shoots the ball on the basket, it would make some sound. The baby should stand up to shoot the ball to the basket. It's so cute!!! Maybe when Ivan starts walking on his own, I would buy him that court, so he would learn how to shoot a ball.

I am sometimes thinking of my baby's future. I got a lot of what if's. All of the "what if" is regarding financial issue. I am a person who believes that money is a very important thing. I'm not like those people who would say that money is can't buy you happiness. Although money can't really give happiness directly, but do you like your child to be "happily" playing with street children, because your child is also one of them? Of course you don't like that to happen, right?

What if I, or I and my husband die young? What would happen to our son? Although I'm just 30, I want to have everything for my baby. My husband and I doesn't our son to face the financial problems that he had experienced. We want him to have a good life.

We also doesn't want for our son to worry about us when we get old. Now that my parents are getting older, I am worried of what would happen to them, and to the financial issues that we would face. At my status right now, I got a decent job. My husband's earnings is okay. But I still can't say that our financial status is very good.

If we would be lucky to hit a very good household income, which comprises as my income and my husband's, we would:

open a time deposit bank account for our son, for his future
save a lot of money so we can send our son to one of the best school
get my son a term life insurance

Again, money may isn't be everything. But being financially stable won't make one a street child.

Baby Ivan's First Walk/Run... To Prevent Wearing a Diaper

About 3 days ago, baby Ivan did his first steps. How many steps he did? Around 12 to 17 steps!!! That's his first steps. And now, he's still not walking nor doing another steps, even 1 or 2.

So, what made baby Ivan walk? Or should I say, ran! Mother-in-law puts baby Ivan on the floor while she gets a diaper. Ivan isn't wearing a diaper or a short or a pants at that time. He's just on his sando. Ivan doesn't like to wear diaper. He loves being nude. Our conclusion is, he sees his grandma preparing his diaper. So ayun, tumakas sya! He tried to walk. When grandma sees him and called his name, grandma said Ivan tried to walk faster. He ran away. But it's his first time, kaya nadapa ren sya. He cried a little, and then he's okay.

Right now, Ivan would once in a while try to stand up on his own, and would want to try to walk. But he still lack the confidence to walk on his own. But regarding on that first walk/ran, maybe he really tried to ran away to prevent grandma and the diaper. Maybe he forgot that he can't still walk and ran like that.

Decorative Candles for Valentine's Day

I always associate the candle as a sign of mourning, prayers and church. But there is also the other side of me. Candles can be romantic too. Just like when it is Valentine's Day, and every restaurants makes it to the point that they got a red rose on a vase, dim lights for the romantic effect, and red candles. I hadn't gone in a restaurant with such set-up. I guess no one brings me out before when it is Valentine's day, to prevent the long line-up on the restaurants.

But on outside the restaurant, I can see the red candles as the slim one. I think you guys know what kind of red candle I am talking about. I saw this candle on the Internet, see image below.

Isn't it lovely? I would love to have a candle like that on the lotus crystal candle holder. Is there such a restaurant that focuses on every romantic detail? I guess those restaurants should check on the candle too. It doesn't need to always be red. People would love the twist of a pink candle in a very fine looking holder for their Valentine's date. Who knows? The decorative candle may boost more customer counts on the next Valentine's day.

I think there is someone online who is kind of spying on me. He (yes it's a guy) has been checking out how am I doing lately, what am I doing, what are my plans on my _____. I'll just leave it blank. I don't want to make it so obvious to the one spying on me.

For me, it's okay to check out my posts, my pictures and videos. I got a Twitter and Plurk. I share my life to people. But spying is a different thing. This guy has been checking me out for some reason I don't know.

I might be over reacting, but that's what I felt. Just please, stop spying on me. Stop searching on every account I have on the Internet.

Micro SD as Picture Storage

I am having a problem on where to keep our pictures that are digitally taken. I do have a copy on my computer hard disk. But just like the last time we upgraded the whole computer because the whole computer just stopped functioning (grounded?), all of our pictures were lost! Luckily, I got a back-up on my office computer.

This time, since I have my own camera, my plan is to store the pictures on where it was originally stored when those pictures were taken - on the micro sd cards. It would take a lot of pictures before the card becomes full. So with the original copy on the cards, I won't be worrying about computer formats and data lost.

I'm not talking about loving pink or you know what I mean. My husband doesn't really like the color pink on shirts and polo. But he got one :) I'm not sure if it's a gift or he bought it on China. But I'm sure that the polo shirt came from China.

On the other hand, I was surprised when my mother-in-law bought a baby pink and baby yellow sando for Ivan. She bought the sando from the market.

If you are not new to the blogging world, I bet have have heard of Mesothelioma cancer. But have you heard that the one that cause the cancer can also cause ovarian cancer?

There are countries that are very care with testing on the environment where people are mostly around. Examples of the environment are hospitals, big manufacturing companies, and schools.

I hope the government in my country would also have concern on asbestos (the one causing the cancer).
