Thanks for the post from Sylvester Campbell

Who would have thought I’d be at this point when I was 25? I have my own sports training facility and I’ve been really excited about finally getting things off the ground and taking in new clients. I think it’s important to note that when I was in high school I didn’t have any interest in sports at all – now here I am working on becoming a great member of this community by working with kids in the area to become better athletes? I love having the ability to make all the decisions for my little business, from the t1 internet to the type of marketing I do to the T-shirts I wear. I just love being the boss as a whole and I can imagine what it would be like if I was still trapped in a cubicle all day like I was before. I knew I had to get out there and I’m really thankful this is the I decided to go down. Who would’ve imagined I’d be a small business owner?

I’ve been very vocal to my friends that I’d rather dance than run. Then a friend suggested biking. Apparently, she and her husband have been into biking for months now. They have this kuat bike rack on their family car, drive down south just to do some serious biking. Wow! Just thinking about it makes me tired, and sweaty and lose some pounds.

Seriously, I know I should find some activity that would keep me moving.

What do you think? Yeah yeah but if I’d be doing a face-a-day, I’d probably take shots of my kids’ faces instead of mine.

Like yesterday, I just had to take a photo of myself. Yeah, vain!

Also yesterday, while busy working, an officemate suddenly exclaimed “Yay! I got reward cards and a new lot!” We all smiled at her in a bit of congratulatory manner, and then she suddenly felt shy and told us she’s just playing a game on her ipod.

~~~
I’m seriously planning to document our 2012. I’m just not sure yet if I’d do it via Instagram, PopBooth or Project Life (using polaroids but that would be toooooooo expensive). But I’m definitely going to keep a diary again, as in an offline diary, then I can just stick a polaroid whenever I have film sheets.
Written by Sonny Quinn
All my friends had been telling me about this crazy awesome show created by Kurt Sutter on the FX network. I couldn’t take it anymore so I downloaded all the past seasons and before I knew it, I was hooked! Sons of Anarchy became my guilty pleasure in a heartbeat and so I knew I had to log onto www.tvbydirect.com and upgrade my package so I could get the FX network before the new season started. Let me just say this is money well spent! This is a show that keeps you wanting more every week. It is the middle of the fourth season and I cannot even begin to predict which direction the show is going to take. The story and complex relationships grow more twisted with every episode. I’m fascinated by how a team of writers, producers, and directors can create a well-rounded story line such as this. Needless to say, I will be watching tonight to get caught up what happens next and I know I will be left wanting more like only a great guilty pleasure can do.
Driving on the highway can be a stress-inducing experience for drivers who bring their families along, and not simply because the kids are fighting with each other in the backseat. Concentration issues aside, roadways the world around are not remarkably safe environments. Considering the many millions of drivers who take to the interstates every day, it’s fortunate that there are as few accidents as there are. But ‘few’ is a relative term, as according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the leading cause of death in among people aged 5-34 in the United States is motor vehicle collisions. So for young parents and their children, driving on the highway or even on back roads can be a risky endeavor. Though seat belts and air bags help, one area that’s often missed in terms of safety improvements is lighting.
A driver really is his or her own best piece of safety equipment, as one’s alertness to his or her own surroundings can help one see a potential hazard before it is too late to avoid it. Though in daylight it is relatively easy to see the road ahead as well as one’s surroundings, the peripheries become hard to see as night falls, particularly on roads without adequate (or any) street lighting). To give a driver back as much of his visual range as possible for safety reasons, effective car lighting is needed. And many cars are ill-equipped for the task.
Headlights, for instance, often dull with age, and dim headlights aren’t very good suppliers of light. Let’s say you drive a Volkswagen Passat, a typical passenger car that carries many families to and from work, school, and more day-to-day. If the stock headlights are busted, your vision will be shot in the dark. Now if you decided to install one of many available Passat HID kits, you could increase your visual range immensely, as HID headlights have 3x the brightness of standard halogens. Plus, HID lights also provide for improved peripheral vision, better light reflection off of road signs and markers, and cause less strain on the eyes than halogens (HID light appears more natural, like daylight, to human eyes). So with greater visual range both straight ahead and at your peripheries, on top of an easier time reading highway markers and signs, you’d be able to navigate your Passat safely and more easily notice crossing deer or a swerving vehicle.
Tail lights are critical to remember too. Broken or dim tail lights make it much more difficult for a driver to your car’s rear to see your location and notice when you’re braking. Since your kids are more likely than not in the backseat, it can be dangerous if a car were to collide with your vehicle’s rear end. So replacing outdated tail lights with brighter, more noticeable ones such as LED lights can be very helpful in keeping your car visible to other drivers.
For a safer family driving experience, whether you light up your car with Passat HID kits or brand new LED tail lights, you’ll need to make sure the light emitted by your car is more than sufficient to see well and be seen.
Last Oct 25th, the kids went trick or treat’ing in our office. At long last, Mikee was able to go as Ariel, the Little Mermaid, which she had been planning for 2 years now. I was worried she’d change her mind again. The costume was a bit big on her, still, her round tummy was quite obvious. I’m thankful that she’s not conscious about it. I really don’t want to worry about appetite control. For me, as long as she’s happy, I won’t mind if my daughter is fat or thin.
A week ago, we went to Greenhills with the kids. We came without my SIL because we planned on getting birthday gifts for her. We were able to get her two iPod cases: a plain yellow rubber type and a hard Spongebob crystal type.
Anyway, last Wednesday, my daughter went to Greenhills again with my two SILs this time. They went to Krispy Kreme. And she was so happy to wear different kinds of Halloween hats. She was also invited to design her own donuts.
It was also our first time to talk via Face Time. She was so proud of what she did that she wanted to talk to us immediately. Then she brought the donuts home for daddy and mommy to eat. Yummy!
I still can’t get over that Mikee won’t be a cheerleader (cheerio) this Halloween. I still kept browsing for sexy cheerleading uniforms for her. Yeah sexy. Hahaha. I was hoping she and her brother will have coordinating costumes. (I have not divulged what Theo will be, unless you’re a twitter follower. Just a couple of days more, and I will post their photos here.)
Anyway, I am slowly accepting that she’ll be mermaid this year. We tried her red wig earlier today. I was glad to see that her wig fits her well. Although I am still not comfortable seeing her in red hair with her jet black eyebrows.
I wonder how many other mermaids will show up in the office for trick or treat. Ariel is quite popular on Halloween.
