It is surprising I think that either way Gingrich gets a pass by the GOP voters.  Marianne Gingrich makes a well timed claim which is also very specific and not necessarily damaging.  In a way, it is somewhat less damaging that Gingrich actually asked for 'permission' to continue his affair.  It means that he attempted to stop hiding the affair which was a secret for 6 years.
