VIAIR 90P Portable Compressor Description :

Viair 90P Portable Compressor is a small but powerful portable compressor kit capable of inflating up to 31 inch tires by simply clamping the power leads to the battery terminal, connecting the lever style tire chuck to the tire valve stem and turning the unit on. Tire pressure can be monitored using the gauge mounted on top of the unit. Just turn off the unit to take an accurate pressure reading since air flow into the tire will show an inaccurate pressure reading. Has a 15 percent duty cycle, 120 PSI maximum working pressure compressor.

VIAIR 90P Portable Compressor Features :

1. Ultra light unit that inflates tires up to 31 inch in just minutes
2. Unit powered directly from 12-volt direct battery connection allowing for reliable operation
3. 120 PSI maximum working pressure and 15% duty cycle
4. 12-foot power cable with 30-amp inline fuse and 5-foot inflation hose
5. Deluxe storage and carry bag included

VIAIR 90P Portable Compressor customer Reviews :

I got this tire inflator because I didn't want to be dependent on my local gas station to fill my tires up. Last time I went there the air compressor was broken, so I finally bought this.

This unit hooks directly up to your car's battery. My 2010 Honda Accord only puts out 10 amps through the DC outlet inside the car, so I decided to get this one rather than similar units that I have seen that hook up inside your car rather than the battery. I have read other reviews about some of these inflators blowing fuses in the cars, so I was aware of that issue ahead of time.

After connecting the clamps to the battery and turning on my car, I filled up all my tires just to top them off. The compressor is relatively quiet (certainly not loud by my definition) and added about 2 psi to each tire in about 10 seconds for each tire. The unit was a little warm after all four tires, but certainly not anywhere near hot to hurt my hands from touching the metal heatsink. It probably gets hotter if you leave it on for longer, but for periodic tire inflation maintenance, it seems like it is rugged enough to handle it.

The nozzle is a clampdown type which also has a release switch. You press the release switch once to lock it into the release position, and press it again to close it back up.

Most of the parts are made of metal, not plastic. It does have rubber feet on the bottom to absorb the vibrations though. The length of the hose and DC power cord put together is just enough to reach all four tires on my car comfortably. The bag that comes with it fits all of the parts with some room to spare (I also keep my tire guage in there now).

All things considered, I think this is a pretty good unit. The construction feels good, which is reassuring since I had another tire inflator a while back that did not last long. It does everything I expected. More Reviews ....

Campbell Hausfeld RP4100 120-Volt Inflator Features :

1. Powerful design perfect for home or workshop
2. Fast and easy inflation of tires and sporting equipment
3. Built in tire pressure gauge
4. Plugs into standard 120-Volt household outlet
5. Built in carry handle

Campbell Hausfeld RP4100 120-Volt Inflator customer Reviews :

My main use has been for maintaining air pressure in vehicle tires (fairly light duty inflating). I have not yet used this product on other inflatables.

Electrical cord is a decent length and wraps around the base of the unit for storage (not shown in picture).

Filling hose is also of decent length and stores in a compartment - additional hose fittings are included. Altogether the unit is very compact and stores easily.

The air pressure gauge is some what accurate but I would only use it as an estimate - it is not detailed enough to determine the difference between say 42 and 44 psi. Obviously a quality tire gauge should be used.

Considering you're compressing air the unit is loud be not overly so. As can be expected it is not as fast as an air compressor found at gas stations.

Great value for the convenience - I can foresee it not being the choice for heavy duty inflation needs, however. More Reviews ....

Goodyear i7000 12-Volt Direct Drive Heavy-Duty Tire Inflator customer Reviews :

I am upgrading from a cheap unit that was slow and noisy. After researching a number of air compressors online, I decided to purchase this unit. Just received it and tried it out. I am really pleased by this unit:

- Incredibly quite and stable -- it won't jump around like my previous unit;
- Quick inflation -- I tried to top off on my 31" truck tire. I did not time it, but I can see the needle moving at 33 psi. For bicycle tires, it takes only seconds;
- Reasonable power draw -- it did not blow the fuse on my 04 4Runner, and I don't have problem starting the truck after testing the unit without engine running to fill 3 bicycles and top off a truck tire;
- Accurate gauge -- I tested it against my other tire gauge and the readings are practically the same at 33 psi;
- Quality construction. The chuck connector works much more reliably than the quick connector in my previous cheap unit. It loses a bit of air upon disconnect but can be easily compensated. More Reviews ....

Slime COMP06 Pro Power Heavy-Duty Tire Inflator customer Reviews :

I'm writing this review because the Amazon description doesn't inform you that you NEED 15 amps to power the device as clearly stated in the owner's manual. Unfortunately, I didn't know this before purchase so when I plugged it into my Honda Pilot which only supplies 10 amps, it didn't work. I called Slime customer service who confirmed that all their products require 15 amps.

Check your car owner's manual to make sure your power socket supplies 15 amps!

I'm giving it 5 stars because the device itself looks very high quality with a nice storage case. Slime customer service was also speedy and helpful. Too bad the Amazon item description was inadequate.

UPDATE: I have since bought the Black & Decker ASI300 Air Station Inflator which works great with my car. More Reviews ....

I've had a 400P since around 2004 (could be longer). Its so old that the air filter isn't located in the same place as the newer ones. I use this compressor to service our car tires and those on my motorcycles. After six plus years, the 400P still works like a champ and pumps just as fast as it did when it was new. It has never done anything other than fill up anything I've hooked it up to - quickly. More Reviews ....

3. 16-foot coiled hose
4. Storage bag included
5. Ideal for off-road vehicles

Q Industries MV50 SuperFlow High-Volume Air Compressor customer Reviews :

I bought this compressor with the intent of airing my tires back up after a day of 4-wheeling. For this purpose, it works amazingly. It comes with an awesome carrying case, and everything else you would expect with a portable air compressor...it will air up my tires quickly--the specs state about 4 minutes to air up a 35" tire.

When running, the compressor is pretty quiet and doesn't vibrate and bounce around. The built-in gauge is quite accurate once the unit is turned off.

In short...buy this air compressor if you have ANY use for it at all. It will easily beat compressors which cost over 3 times what this unit does. More Reviews ....

Lowest Price EZ - Air Tire Gauge

EZ - Air Tire Gauge Description :

This highly accurate Air Gauge can be used with any stationary or portable air compressor. It includes a bleeder valve to arrive at the exact pressure. Gauges from 0 to 100 psi.

EZ - Air Tire Gauge Features :

1. Saves Gas - Better Handling
2. Check & Inflate Tires
3. Inflates Tire with Air Hose
4. Accu-gage brand quality
5. 0-100 p.s.i.

EZ - Air Tire Gauge customer Reviews :

I'm one of those people who some times has trouble getting the alignment just right with the traditional "stick" tire gauges with the angled chuck. The EZ Air Tire Gauge makes the procedure a cinch, though -- straight in and out, with no more than a puff of air from the tire when you attach or detach it. The gauge itself seems pretty accurate and the entire assemble feels quite rugged. For use as a pressure gauge, I'm QUITE satisifed with it.

It also has a connector at the other hand that lets you inflate the tire through the gauge. It works with the air hoses you find at most gas stations as well as the screw-on connectors on, for example, the TyphoonMax TX300 portable compressor units. I haven't used this with the gas station air lines myself, but I have used it with my TyphoonMax compressor. The gauge will not give a steady reading while the compressor is on and inflating the tire. The gauge needle vibrates quickly up and down in a blur between two readings while the compressor is on, but you can still see the pressure increase looking at the lower reading of the blurred needle. You can also just switch the compressor off from time to time to check the pressure for sure. It's certainly much easier than swapping back and forth between the compressor and the gauge. The connector on the EZ gauge is probably the only real complaint I have. While it attaches and detaches easily from the tire for quick readings, the spring-loaded piece that actually holds it in place on the valve stem (when you need hands free operation, like for working the compressor hose) will some times not grip very securely and you'll have to jiggle or remove and retry it. It's never taking me more than a couple of tries to get a secure fit, though.

Finally, as a minor nit (but I feel worth noting), the gauge is oddly shaped and it may be hard finding space in, say, your glove compartment or other confined storage space. It isn't BIG, just...oddly shaped. More Reviews ....

Q Industries MF-1035 Santa Ana Portable High Volume 12V Air Compressor Description :

Q Industries Santa Ana Portable High Volume Air Compressor is a small and powerful unit for standard size passenger tires, ATV’s, sports equipment, and motorcycles. This unit is the new and improved HV-30 with a slightly faster inflation time and newly designed handle.

Q Industries MF-1035 Santa Ana Portable High Volume 12V Air Compressor Features :

1. Inflates a passenger car tire under 2 minutes
2. Includes 3 adapter nozzles for inflating sports balls, rafts, and toys
3. E-Z twist brass inflator and 3 feet coil hose
4. Powers directly from a car cigarette lighter
5. Convenient nylon carry bag

Q Industries MF-1035 Santa Ana Portable High Volume 12V Air Compressor Customer Reviews :

I have used another portable air compressor before, and it sounded like WWIII was beginning. I also had to keep a foot planted on it to keep it still. Not the same story with this compressor. Yes it makes noise. Yes it vibrates. They all do, but with this compressor it is all done at an acceptable level. A reasonable amount of power lead, which reaches all 4 wheels of a 2007 Toyota Camry. I have to get the compact spare out of the trunk to fill that but that is not a problem.
Unlike some other pumps, this does not have a plastic lever to clip the air line onto the tire valve. You press the line to the valve and screw the sleeve on. This is all made of brass. It can be a little fiddly but again, I don't consider that a problem. In fact, I found a reason to make it a positive. If you are only topping up a tire, there is no need to screw onto the valve at all. Just hold it onto the valve with steady pressure, the same as you would do at a gas station. Regarding those who feel that you lose pressure while unscrewing the sleeve from the valve, then as another reviewer stated you can slightly overfill. Personally, if you hold the airline onto the valve as you unscrew then it releases practically nothing. Then simply whip away the airline once completely unscrewed.
It all packs away in a hard wearing nylon carry bag that is supplied, and allows you to keep the nozzle accessories with the compressor should you need it for other jobs such as rafts etc.
So, for the working noise, vibration, store-ability, and the budget price I'm pleased with my purchase. It does what I need it to which is to keep the tires at the correct pressures on my car.
Final note. ALL gauges that are fitted onto the pumps have a discrepancy tolerance. Always use a separate, accurate gauge to check the pressures. Once you know if yours is over or under reading and by how much then you can allow for that on the gauge on the pump, but I'd still check that that doesn't change over time. Bon-Aire i8000 Goodyear 120-Volt Direct Drive Tire Inflator Reviews :

This is a perfect air pump. It inflates tires quickly and relatively quietly. The gage is very accurate. I checked it against a couple of others that I own so will rely on it from now on. It seems to be well made with no defects noted. I am looking forward to many years of use. I have been disappointed with others especially the ones that rely on a battery or 12V cigarette connection. They often blow fuses and knock out other things in the car. Never again. I would say buy with confidence. It only works with american type tire valves. It has an adapter for euopean valve stems but would not work on my bike. More Reviews ....

VIAIR 85P Portable Air Compressor Reviews :

I've had a VIAIR 70P for quite some time and that unit is great for the small pump that it is. When I needed another small portable compressor that was able to be powered by a cigarette lighter power socket, I noticed that VIAIR had a new model and got one. This one is almost twice as fast as the 70P and every bit as quiet. The unit doesn't walk around when you're using it and the brass screw-on tire chuck makes for almost no air loss. The LED power indicator is a nice touch and I found the air pressure gauge to be spot-on as long as I turn the compressor off to check pressure. In all, another nice unit. -I just wish this was available when I got my 70P. Side note: don't throw away the box - its a means of storage since this unit doesn't come with a carry bag. Q Industries MV50 SuperFlow High-Volume Air Compressor Description :

The MV50 SuperFlow high-volume air compressor is perfect for trucks, SUVs, RVs and other full-size vehicles, and is designed for everyday use--from blowing up your kids' soccer ball to filling up a flat tire. The MV50's 12 volts of power and 120 PSI capacity is comparable to other higher-priced compressors. Features include a 10-foot power cord to reach around the vehicle, a detachable 16-foot hose long to connect from compressor to tire, a built-in pressure gauge, and alligator clips to hook directly to battery. The MV50 delivers flow up to 72 lpm (2.54CFM). Adapters and carrying bag included. Great item if you have an SUV and need air for off-road activities

Q Industries MV50 SuperFlow High-Volume Air Compressor Features :

1. Inflate a tire in less than 2 1/2 minutes
2. 120 PSI air compressor
3. 16-foot coiled hose
4. Storage bag included
5. Ideal for off-road vehicles

Q Industries MV50 SuperFlow High-Volume Air Compressor Reviews :

I just received the MV-50, and it is a well-built, compact unit with good convenience features. The heavy duty nylon carrying case and 15 foot hose are a pleasant surprise for a modestly priced unit.

The rated output is 72 litres per mimute, or about 2.5 cubit feet. The delivery pressure isn't stated for that volume. The maximum rated output pressure is 120 PSI. These are ratings on par with a light duty compressor operated from AC wall power. The owner's manual is a bit vague on duty cycle, staing that a cool-down is required after 30 minutes of operation. The MV-50 can inflate a flat car tire in about three to four minutes, so there should be no need to worry about duty cycle for most applications.

Several people remarked they wish the MV-50 came with a cigarette lighter attachment. The MV-50's motor draws up to 30 amps, which would melt the contacts or at least blow the fuse on most lighter sockets. For instance, the 12 volt socket on my Toyota truck is rated and fused for 15 amps.

The MV-50 comes with clips for attaching dierectly to the 12 volt battery to maximimize the current it can draw and to make sure it receives full battery voltage. As rated, the MV-50's motor should develop 3/4 horse power or more. This assures plenty of power for rapid inflation.

Another reviewer remarked about finding the MV-50 for only $25. That was apparently a short-lived sale at Pep Boys, where the wrong model was briefly discounted. I think they meant to discount the normally less expensive MV-30. Even at the typical $69-$70 price, the MV-50 is a good value.

Plusses: Modest cost. Included accessories and carry bag. 12 volt portabilty. Well manufactured. Long hose. Air chuck makes positive connection by screwing to tire's Schraeder valve. Fairly quiet operation. Generous CFM and pressure.

Minuses: Needs direct clip-on to battery. The quick-connect fitting is slightly different than the coupling on most air tools. The air chuck must be screwed on to the tire's Schraeder valve. More Reviews ....

Battery Tender 021-0123 Battery Tender Junior 12V Battery Charger Reviews :

In the analysis of buying a Tender Jr. vs. a Tender Plus, the main issues are time to full charge, battery size, & parasitic draw. The Tender Plus (1.25) will get the job done twice as fast as the Tender Jr. (0.75). Both now are similar architecturally, save it be the charging power & lack of temperature compensation on the Jr. They both are 4 stage, both have the same sophisticated computer chip technology running the charging process, etc... I spoke to The Deltran(The Manufacturer) customer service department on 3 different occasions, making sure I had the facts right. The first 2 times I was misinformed about the temperature compensation issue. I am editing this review to be accurate as of today's date of 12/01/10. Because The Plus will bring a battery to full charge twice as quickly as The Jr. will, The Plus has a much better chance at overcoming a parasitic draw on your batteries power. Modern cars have sophisticated electronics that require constant power 24/7. Check all your battery connections & your alternator belt!!! If the connections are not clean & tight, clean it with original coca-cola and a rag / brush, make sure they fit snugly. If your alternator belt is too loose it will not charge your battery properly. If you only want to buy one Tender, don't cheap out, buy The Plus if you have the money to do so. If you want to buy 2 or 3 Tenders to make sure all your batteries are fully charged, the Jr. will probably do just fine. I personally alternate The Jr. between 3 different cars, if I had it to do over again, I would buy The Plus instead as I am not a patient person. Both models will turn off in 72 hours automatically if a full charge is not reached, & neither will start charging without at least 3 volts stored in the battery before initiating a charge. If you left your lights on for 4 days like I did, get a jump, & drive your car around for 30 minutes before hooking up any Tender to charge your dead battery. Either of these 2 Battery Tenders are the best in the world, don't bother doing anymore research, I have done it all for you. Buy one or buy both!!! I bought The Plus model a few months ago also... These babies save you $$$, time & frustration!!! Get the 25 foot extension if you want to charge a car that sits in the driveway, it's only $12. You might also want to buy the Cigarette Lighter Apapter to charge cars that have the battery in the trunk, like the BMW E39 models. More Reviews ....

Viair 00073 70P Heavy Duty Reviews :

Great little compressor and built very well. Used this at the track to add air to the tires, the fastest cig lighter air compressor I ever used. I had many 20, 25 dollars air compressor and they all break within a year. The size is comparable to the other cheaper compressor not too big, which is nice. The pressure gauge on the compressor is good enough to help you fill your flat tire, just read it when the compressor is off.

update- Almost 3 years later, still runs like a champ. I don't really know what to say anymore cause its still working great. Would buy an other one if I lose it, cause this thing is not gonna break. More Reviews ....

Autel MaxiScan MS300 Reviews :
I purchased this because my car failed an inspection due to a DTC for the catalytic converter. Rather than dropping the +$200 the mechanic wanted, I bought this and was able to reset the codes. Then I drove around until the reader said that all the eleven OBD II Readiness Monitors (or I/M Monitors) defined by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) were ready. Viola - it passed inspection.

The reader does have all the bells and whistle such as telling the description of the DTC codes, but it does have the generic ones in the back of the manual & there is software on the CD which I didn't need but looks like it includes a list of manufactures DTC's in addition the generic.(

Lowest Price VIAIR 450P Automatic Function Portable Compressor reviews

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Mon, 20 Feb 2012 19:56:00 -0800

VIAIR 450P Description :
The VIAIR 450P Automatic Function Portable Air Compressor is the only 100-percent duty cycle portable compressor on the market, and can run for extended periods of time depending on your environment. Its automatic pressure regulation system is designed to maintain an internal tank pressure of 145 PSI by cycling power to the compressor motor. This compressor is also equipped with a detachable gas-station-style inflation gun, which allows you to easily fill tires with a simple squeeze of the handle. This inflation gun can also show current tire pressure, so you don't need an additional pressure gauge.

VIAIR 450P Features :
1.The only 100% duty cycle portable compressor on the market. Usable for virtually all tire sizes
2.Quick connect inflation hose with tire inflation gun and rubber over mold pressure gauge
3.Reads pressure on the fly with easy-to-use tire inflation gun, and includes an automatic shutoff function that powers down the unit when the compressor is turned on, but not actively filling tires
4.Direct heavy-duty dual battery clamps with 40-amp inline fuse
5.Includes deluxe carry bag anti-vibration tray and more

VIAIR 450P Reviews :
I have an Airstream trailer in storage and the tires were a bit low. Foot pumps were tried to keep the pressure up, but they were useless. This pump, with its start-up at 120psi and shut-off at 145psi is just like having a compressed air tank. The hose is long enough to reach both sides of a 30' trailer without relocating the compressor. The valve clamp is metal and connects securely. The gauge and hand control are easy to read and operate. It was so fast taking the air pressure from 15psi to the 60psi that it was almost embarrassing. The process of filling four tires, including cool-down, was only 15 minutes.
