Everything you need to get started, complete directions, dvd, and free gifts. I definately would buy it again.

I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend’s mom. I was overall satisfied with the purchase. The only thing I didn’t realize is that the plastic starter tray is very flimsy and cheap. It came with a good variety of seeds and she loved it. We didn’t realize it also came with laminated directions, a dvd, and some other goodies. I would definitely buy more products like this. Pair it with a book on tea making and it is a wonderful gift.

I purchased this as a Mother’s Day gift and it was a hit! The shipping was very quick and I would highly recommend this product as the recipient is a veteran gardener and was very pleased with it. She also commented that many of the seed varieties are difficult to find in the shop. Would definitely buy again!

I absolutely love my AeroGarden kit. It really is so very easy to take care of. The seeds grow really fast. I couldn’t keep up with all the herbs I got out of the kit. After about 6 months I decided to try the Salsa kit, so I decided to try to pot these. I just pulled them out gently and potted them. The cilantro did not take, but all of the others are happily growing in pots on my porch for about a year now.

I still regularly use the basil and the purple basil and they are both still about 3 feet tall in their little shared pot. The dill finally gave up, but for me I didn’t really use it. The parsley and the chives are still doing well.

Now I am enjoying the salsa kit. The tomatoes haven’t flowered quite yet, but the chiles are.

I would definitely buy this set again. I enjoy plants, but am not an avid gardner so this is the perfect solution! I tend to forget to water and so this is perfect for me since the Aerogarden does it for me!

If your unsure about these replacement sponges, its worth the risk. I have sprouted lettuce and tomato seeds in them and they grew beautifully. Make sure to get the right size for your garden. these fit my 7 pod perfectly.

This sponge media appears to be the same as what came in my old seed pods.(I purchased the 7-pod unit used.) I’ve just planted my lettuce seeds–hope it works! I didn’t realize the seller also sells substitute nutrients. And I purchased a different hydroponic nutrient. If the nutes are as close as the sponges are to the to what came with my seed pods, I would try those as well. I’m just going to use what I have now though and hope it works.

I bought this for my sister and she is very happy with the ease of set up and the fresh salad makings and herb’s that she gets from her new indoor garden. I loved putting a smile on her face!

My husband ordered this for me from my wish list. I had picked the space saver size because we didnt have much counter space left to spare after Christmas purchases of a Keurig and a Kitchenaid mixer.

When I recieved the order, I was surprised tht it was labeled as the Ultimate Kitchen Gardener instead of the Aerogarden. After some Googling, they’re apparently both made my Aerogrow. They’re pretty much identical except for the Aerogarden version lets you select whether you’re growing herbs, tomatoes, lettuce, etc in your garden and it will adjust the feeding schedule as needed. Since I only intended to use this for herbs, it wasnt a big deal to me, but if you want that extra feature, you may want to spend a smidge more and go with the actual Aerogarden brand. Otherwise, Aerogarden 6 pod seed kits and parts for the garden are all interchangeable.

After I placed all the pods in their appropriate places (tall growing herbs in the back, medium growing herbs in the front and sides), and filled the resevoir with water and their nutrient tablets, I was done!

I was afraid this might be a gimmick but I’m a convert now. My Aerogarden is of good quality, and all the plants sprouted promptly and are thriving. Minor drawbacks are that the unit hums quietly, and there is a slight chemical/greenhouse odor. I recommend the Master Gardener kit if you are interested in starting your own plants rather than the manufacturer’s pre-seeded pods.

This is a great product,easy to get started with easy to use instructions. I bought this for my wife for Mothers’Day and it is a big hit. She is already harvesting basil after only 5 weeks. Buy it you’ll like it!

I purchased 2 of the 7-pod Classics mid December ‘08. Cancer patient restricted to the house because of no immune system, so grocery shopping in a public place was out of the question. I started herbs and chef salad bar greens and began harvesting the salad greens within 10 days: they are both still going strong. I enjoy Mesclun Mix, Salad Greens, Romaine, Baby Greens and Arugula (and have 7 remaining pods for replacement when these have lived their life). The second one began providing herbs to use within 16 days: Parsley, Italian Basil, Purple Basil, Thyme, Mint, Dill and Chives. The only disappointment was Chives (they failed miserably). The Purple Basil didn’t last longer than 3 months before it ‘died’, but the others are still going strong 5 months later.

I had been following the prices on these units and just couldn’t afford them until they went on sale. I could not be happier with my purchase of 2 units, the quality of the product, ease of use, and resulting herbs/produce. I have made a ‘drying’ screen for the herbs that grow faster than I can use them and once dried, I simply place in an old ’spice jar’ from long-ago used up store-bought spices/herbs.

I received the black unit as a Christmas gift and have been enjoying fresh herbs ever since. The thyme and oregano didn’t make it so (with tweasers) I stuck replacement seeds that I bought for 20-cents at WalMart in the existing pods and now have three pods of chives and three varieties of basil — those with the thriving mint and parsley, I am all set with my herb staples. I use the herbs in everything I cook (except cereal!)and am constantly munching on the mint as I pluck it to put in my hot and iced tea. The bonus is the wonderful fragrance that remains in the kitchen from the aromatic herbs…especially the basil. This unit is a joy to all of my senses: I love the way it looks, the way it smells, and definitely the way it tastes (not the unit, the herbs!). It is wonderfully satisfying to harvest such freshness every day…no matter what the weather conditions are outside.

This is my third Aerogarden. (I have a space saver 6 and a Aero3) and I love the continued success I have with these products. I am growing the Mega Cherry Tomatos from the seed kit that accompanied the garden and can’t wait for them to be ripe to go with the Salad I am already growing and the herbs (all in seperate gardens of course. Set up took less than 10 minutes while I was multitasking. I love being able to garden on the 3rd floor of an apartment building! This is great product.

I’m an aerogarden lover. One thing I particularly love about aerogardens is that it is a fairly green product. The nutrient tablets are organic(according to the makers of aerogarden) and the system uses CFL bulbs as opposed to traditional lightbulbs. The makers say it costs under 3 dollars to run an aerogarden per month. Someone who reviewed this one said it smells. Personally, I noticed it getting it out of the box, but never again after that and I do have a particularly sensitive nose. It’s plastic, it will have a plastic-y smell for a day or two.

We love to cook and really enjoy the herb kits most. I kill plants/flowers/veggies otherwise, but I easily figured out the aerogarden and it takes VERY little time to keep it flourishing. Now I realize my review is long, but there were a lot of things to consider for me in picking my new aerogarden and hopefully they will help you in your decision!

I have previously owned an aerogarden classic 7 pod for about a year – I thought it was great, but with a pretty significant problem which lead me to make an upgrade.
My issue with the classic 7pod:
- some of the herbs grow so high they grew into the light and burned. They have rectified this with your choice of the deluxe, pro200 or this model I choose, the elite 6+ which goes another 12 inches or so higher then the original ‘classic’ model. But for people who bought the original, You had to pay $109 or so dollars for a upgraded light arm, which was ridiculous and spending way more $$ then just selling my classic and upgrading. If you feel you’ll ‘tend’ to your garden more, you can prune it more often to keep it under the light, but I’m the type who just lets it grow and grow.

I bought this for my wife for christmas, It came with a tomato plant but she does not like them so she used a tuscan herb kit I got her from kohls. after almost three weeks only two of the six plants have sprouted. the two that are growing are growing very well. I have written aerogarden about the faulty pods but not yet received a reply. I have read that the water type (ph level) has an effect on the plants growing. The ones that are growing look too good for it to be a ph issue though. I think it is more an issue with the seed kit from kohls then the aerogarden itself.
The unit is very quite. and has been working properly (turning on and off as set.) It had alerted that it needed more water and minerals after about 14 days. I have not gotten an electric bill since she plugged it in so i can not say what effect it has had on the bill. Makes a great night light (lights up the whole house) My wife likes it so i am happy with the purchase.

This product works as advertised. It is a bit noisy and the light is quite bright, so you might want to keep it in the basement, spare room, garage, etc.

I bought my Aerogarden Elite 6 from a guy on Ebay. It was advertised as “new.” but it did not include the seed packet. Since I had ordered several other additional packets from Amazon, I didn’t sweat it too much. Anyway, this is one of three Aerogardens I bought within two weeks. I bought them mainly to grow salad greens and flowers. I have the classic 7-pod garden, a 7-pod Pro 100 and this Elite 6-pod. Of all three, the Elite is the noisiest. It buzzes continuously. I don’t know if this is a defect, but I intend on contacting the company. I planted the scented flower pack in the Elite and cascading petunias in the Pro 100, but they haven’t sprouted yet as I planted them only about a week ago and they take several days to two weeks to sprout. I planted salad greens in the classic and they sprouted in 3 days. The classic and pro 100 are relatively quiet. The only sound is that of dripping or trickling water occasionally but not nearly as disconcerting as that blasted BUZZZZZZZZZZZ in the Elite.
