<p><a href="http://www.chromeplugins.org/plugins/google-chrome-dual-view/">Google Chrome Dual View</a> comes really handy for multitaskers. It lets you browse two sites in one tab, side by side. It not only works in Google Chrome, but in <strong>Firefox</strong> too.</p>
<p>It is a javascript bookmarklet. Just go to <a href="http://www.chromeplugins.org/plugins/google-chrome-dual-view/">this page</a>. Then click and drag the link to your bookmarks bar.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.bestpctips.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/image.png"><img style="border-right-width: 0px; display: block; float: none; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; margin-left: auto; border-left-width: 0px; margin-right: auto" title="image" border="0" alt="image thumb Google Chrome Dual View   Splits Your Browser in Half" src="http://www.bestpctips.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/image_thumb.png" width="452" height="330" /></a></p>
<p>Now you don’t have to switch tabs back and forth and back and forth and back when you are comparing something or referring something.</p>
<p>Just click the bookmarklet, and two windows will pop up. Enter the addresses of the websites and tada! You’re dual browsing! Cool, eh?</p>
<p><a href="http://www.bestpctips.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/image1.png"><img style="border-right-width: 0px; display: inline; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px" title="image" border="0" alt="image thumb1 Google Chrome Dual View   Splits Your Browser in Half" src="http://www.bestpctips.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/image_thumb1.png" width="598" height="328" /></a> </p>

			</a>
		</div>
<p>Many people on the internet don’t really read… they skim. And maybe that is because our text size is too small and uncomfortable to read.</p>
<p>So, here’s a quick tutorial on how to increase text size. In wordpress, changing the font size is really easy. Just go to /wp-admin/theme-editor.php. Make sure you are on <em>style.css</em>.</p>
<p>Look for #content or #entry. Then, paste this code under there.</p>
<blockquote><p>#content p {<br />
font-size: 14px !important;<br />
line-height:  24px !important;<br />
margin: 1em 0 1.6em !important;}</p></blockquote>
<p>If your theme addresses your content as #entry, be sure to change #content to #entry.</p>
<p>The <em>#content p</em> requests that all the paragraphs (<em>p</em>) in the blog post shall go with that styling. The <em>14px</em> is the font size. <em>25px</em>, line spacing.</p>
<p><em>!important</em> is for telling that the rule should be applied always, even if another rule for the same element is present.</p>
<div style="border-left: grey 1px solid; padding-left: 15px; margin-left: 30px;">
<p>For example,</p>
<blockquote><p><span style="color: #808080;">#content p {color: black}<br />
#content p {color: green}</span></p></blockquote>
<p>This CSS code makes your paragraphs green, because it appears later than ‘black’ – your browser applies the rule that appears at the bottom.</p>
<p>So if you want to make sure that your paragraphs are black, add a <em>!important</em>.</p>
<blockquote><p><span style="color: #808080;">#content p {color: black !important}<br />
#content p {color: green}</span></p></blockquote>
</div>
<p>The margins determine the space between paragraphs.</p>
<p>1em = top margin | 0 = left &amp; right margin | 1.6em = bottom margin.</p>
<p>Feel free to customize the codes to your liking!

<p>Did you know that you can drag and drop attachments in Gmail? Well, yes, indeed you can!Though, only <a href="http://www.google.com/chrome">Google Chrome</a> supports this feature.</p>
<h2>Attaching files</h2>

<p>Another tip: you can select multiple files and drop them as attachments too!</p>
<p><a href="http://www.bestpctips.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/1.jpg"><img style="border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px" title="1" border="0" alt="1 thumb Gmail made easier: Drag and Drop Attachments" src="http://www.bestpctips.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/1_thumb.jpg" width="582" height="314" /></a> </p>
<h2>Downloading attachments</h2>
<p>To download an attachment, just click on the attachment thumbnail, and drag it over to the folder you want the file to be downloaded too. Simple and fast, isn’t it?</p>
<p><a href="http://www.bestpctips.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/2.jpg"><img style="border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; border-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; border-right: 0px" title="2" border="0" alt="2 thumb Gmail made easier: Drag and Drop Attachments" src="http://www.bestpctips.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/2_thumb.jpg" width="582" height="287" /></a></p>
<h2>Bonus tip: Drag images into messages</h2>
<p>Here’s another bonus tip: you can drag images from your computer and drop them in Gmail when you are composing an email.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.bestpctips.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/3.jpg"><img style="border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; border-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; border-right: 0px" title="3" border="0" alt="3 thumb Gmail made easier: Drag and Drop Attachments" src="http://www.bestpctips.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/3_thumb.jpg" width="582" height="348" /></a></p>

<p>Do you know you can use your iPhone or iPod touch as a wireless mouse touchpad?</p>
<p><a href="http://www.bestpctips.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/IMG_0014.png"><img style="margin: 0px 0px 0px 10px; display: inline; border: 0px;" title="IMG_0014" src="http://www.bestpctips.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/IMG_0014_thumb.png" border="0" alt="IMG 0014 thumb Use Your iPhone/iPod touch as a Wireless Mouse Touchpad" width="202" height="302" align="right" /></a>Well, yes, the <strong><em>Logitech Touch Mouse</em></strong> app allows you to do exactly that, and it is free.</p>
<p>It works when both your iPhone and computer are connected over <strong>WiFi</strong>.</p>
<p>It’s a really convenient way to control your computer from a distance, like when it is connected to the TV and you don’t want to get up from the couch.</p>
<p>Here are 5 steps to set up the wireless touchpad mouse.</p>
<div style="margin-left: 20px;">
<p><strong>1.</strong> Download the <a href="http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/touch-mouse/id338237450?mt=8">Logitech Touch Mouse app</a> to your iPhone or iPod touch.</p>
<p><strong>2.</strong> Then, download and install the <a href="http://www.logitech.com/en-us/494/6367&amp;hub=1&amp;section=downloads&amp;WT.mc_id=usym_redirect_/touchmouse?geo=US">Logitech Touch Mouse server</a> program to your computer.</p>
<p><strong>3.</strong> Start the software on your computer. Then start the app on your iPhone.</p>
<p><strong>4.</strong> You should be able to see your computer name in your app. Click on it.</p>
<p><strong>5.</strong> Tada! You are now able to magically control your computer from a distance.</p>
</div>
<p>To scroll, use two fingers. You can also control various stuff in the options, such as the tracking speed.</p>
<p>There is also a keyboard! So you can type stuff on your computer using your iPhone. The text you type appears on the iPhone so that you don’t have to continually look up to the computer. Cool isn’t it!</p>

<p>Whether to get a Mac or a PC (Windows) has been a hot and interesting debate topic.</p>
<p>Since 2006, the Get a Mac campaign, featuring John Hodgman and Justin Long, was launched. So, here are the 10 Get a Mac commercials that I think are the funniest.</p>
<h2>10. Off the Air</h2>
<p>Mac and PC show up with a <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mac_Genius">Mac Genius</a>. She announces that it is easier to switch to a Mac because they transfer the files for free. PC then says people don&#8217;t need to hear about the Mac Genius and pulls a test card over the camera and says that they are off the air.</p>
<p><object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="570" height="345" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="src" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/fE5qr1CNUX4&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="570" height="345" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/fE5qr1CNUX4&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object></p>
<h2>9. Mac Genius</h2>
<p>Mac introduces an Apple Genius. PC asks her math questions to test her. At the end, PC asks her how much does he loathe Mac on the scale of 1 to 10. She answers &#8220;Eleven,&#8221; and PC says, &#8220;She&#8217;s good. Very good.&#8221;</p>
<p><object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="570" height="452" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="src" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/7T6AKdYOdSQ&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="570" height="452" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/7T6AKdYOdSQ&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object></p>
<h2>8. PC Voice Chat</h2>
<p>PC starts his own talk show where people ask for advice on buying computers. All the callers ask for a PC that has Mac features. PCs stops these calls.</p>
<p><object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="570" height="345" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="src" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/P5wiomEPivU&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="570" height="345" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/P5wiomEPivU&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object></p>
<h2>7. Now What</h2>
<p>PC shows off his book, <em>I Want to Buy a Computer – Now What?,</em> to help customers buy computers. Mac says that buying computers is really easy, because there are personal shoppers at the Apple Store, and even workshops to teach people how to use computers. PC says he thought of this and brings out the companion volume, <em>I Just Bought a Computer – Now What?</em></p>
<p><object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="570" height="345" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="src" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/VSyR-ZMlFik&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="570" height="345" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/VSyR-ZMlFik&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object></p>
<h2>6. Flashback</h2>
<p>Mac asks PC to see the site and video he made. So PC remembers a time when they were kids. The Mac kid asks the PC kid to see some artwork he drew. But the PC kid takes out a calculator to calculates the time they’ve just wasted. Back in the present, PC does the same thing.</p>
<p><object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="570" height="452" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="src" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/9G46ce2vAp8&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="570" height="452" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/9G46ce2vAp8&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object></p>
<h2>5. Security</h2>
<p>PC shows up with a tall bodyguard, who is Vista&#8217;s security feature. He demands that PC cancel or allow every incoming or outgoing interaction PC has with Mac.</p>
<p><object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="570" height="452" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="src" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/zoMbhDKMaIU&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="570" height="452" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/zoMbhDKMaIU&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object></p>
<h2>4. Choose a Vista</h2>
<p>To decide which version of Vista to get, PC spins a big game wheel. But he lands on “Lose a Turn”, and Mac asks why PC even put that space.</p>
<p><object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="570" height="452" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="src" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/81waxRjHT44&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="570" height="452" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/81waxRjHT44&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object></p>
<h2>3. Broken Promises</h2>
<p>PC is very excited about Windows 7 and says it won’t have the problems that Vista has. Mac says he feels like he heard this before, and has some flashbacks about PC saying the same thing about Vista, XP, Me, 98, 95, and 2.0. On the last flashback, PC says, &#8220;Trust me.&#8221; Returning from the flashback, he says the same thing in the same manner.</p>
<p><object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="570" height="345" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="src" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/AYWmDag3ruM&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="570" height="345" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/AYWmDag3ruM&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object></p>
<h2>2. Bake Sale</h2>
<p>PC is having a bake sale and says that he is raising money to fix Vista&#8217;s problems. Mac contributes by buying a cupcake. PC convinces Mac to take a bite and as soon as he takes a bite, PC says that it costs $10,000,000, and Mac has to pay.</p>
<p><object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="570" height="345" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="src" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/T6i8Ja7il9U&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="570" height="345" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/T6i8Ja7il9U&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object></p>
<h2>1. Santa Claus</h2>
<p>An animated Get a Mac commercial. PC, Mac, and Santa Claus are singing “<em>Santa Claus is Coming to Town</em>”, but PC spoils it by singing, <em>“He knows when you’ve been bad or good, so buy a pc and not a mac this holiday season, or at any other time for goodness sake. Ohhhh…. come on.. ohhhhh……what?”</em></p>
<p><object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="570" height="345" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="src" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/sk5WwCoTWks&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="570" height="345" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/sk5WwCoTWks&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object></p>
<p>So, what’s your opinion on this? Mac or PC? Would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.

<p>A favicon is a website’s icon that appears near the browser’s address bar. It also appears in the browser’s bookmarks.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.bestpctips.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/faviconshow.jpg"><img style="border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; border-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; border-right: 0px" title="faviconshow" border="0" alt="faviconshow thumb Favicon How To &ndash; 5 Steps" src="http://www.bestpctips.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/faviconshow_thumb.jpg" width="327" height="84" /></a> </p>
<p>A favicon serves as your website’s identity and when people bookmark your site, it is easier for them to identify which websites in the bookmarks are yours.</p>
<p>So, here is the favicon how-to tutorial. 5 easy steps to put up a favicon on your site or wordpress blog!</p>
<h1>How to Make a Favicon in 5 Easy Steps</h1>
<h2>1. Create the image</h2>
<p>Choose the image that you want to use as your favicon. Or create one yourself. Then crop or resize it to a 36 x 36 square.</p>
<h2>2. Save it</h2>
<p>You can save it as jpg, png ( for transparency), or ico (the most widely <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Favicon#Browser_support">supported</a> format; <a href="http://www.html-kit.com/favicon/">use this tool</a> to generate ico).</p>
<h2>3. Upload it</h2>
<p>Then, use <a href="http://filezilla-project.org">Filezilla</a> or another FTP client to upload the favicon to your server, where you put all your other site images.</p>
<p><strong><u>For wordpress users, you can also use this method: <br /></u></strong>Go to <em>wp-admin/media-new.php</em>, choose your file, and upload. Then, copy the File URL.</p>
<h2>4. Edit the code</h2>
<p>Then, edit the code in your header (for wordpress users, go to the theme editor and choose header.php). Add this line</p>
<blockquote><p>&lt;link rel=&quot;shortcut icon&quot; href=”http://www.yoursitename.com/favicon.png” type=&quot;image/ico&quot; /&gt;</p>
</blockquote>
<p>Add it just before <strong>&lt;/head&gt;</strong>. Be sure to replace “http://www.yoursitename.com/favicon.png” with the actual path to your favicon.</p>
<h2>5. Reload your site and see your brand new shiny favicon!</h2>
<p>After that, go to your site, hit Ctrl + F5 (Clear-cache-reload), and tada! – you have a brand new shiny favicon! <br />_____</p>
<p>So, do you have any questions on adding a favicon to your site? Ask it in the comments!</p>

<p><a href="http://www.bestpctips.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/keyboard.jpg"><img style="margin: 7px auto 0px; display: block; float: none; border: 0px;" title="keyboard" src="http://www.bestpctips.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/keyboard_thumb.jpg" border="0" alt="keyboard thumb PC Shortcuts   12 Useful and Handy Shortcuts" width="400" height="267" /></a></p>
<h2><strong>1. Ctrl + C</strong> – Copy</h2>
<p>Who can live without this shortcut? We are copying stuffs all the time.</p>
<p>And this keyboard shortcut is so much easier and faster than <em>Right Click &gt;&gt; Copy</em>.</p>
<h2><strong>2. Ctrl + V</strong> – Paste</h2>
<p>If you copy, you need to paste. So instead of <em>Right Click &gt;&gt; Paste</em>, just hit Ctrl + V.</p>
<h2><strong>3. Ctrl + Z</strong> – Undo</h2>
<p>Oops! You’ve just deleted a piece of text! How to make text magically reappear on screen? The magic words are: Ctrl + Z.</p>
<h2><strong>4. Alt, F, W, F</strong> – Create new folder in windows explorer</h2>
<p>I still wonder why there is still no shortcut to create a new folder. So, this is actually not a keyboard shortcut, but a trick shortcut.</p>
<p><strong>Alt </strong>– goes to the menu<br />
<strong>F </strong>– Selects “File” beside “Edit”<br />
<strong>W</strong> – Selects “New”<br />
<strong>F</strong> – Selects “Folder”.</p>
<h2><strong>5. Windows Logo + E</strong> – Open computer</h2>
<p>You know that windows logo button between Ctrl and Alt on the bottom left of the keyboard? If you press Windows Logo + E, it will open the computer.</p>
<p>No, not automatically disassemble the computer and unscrew it, <img src='http://www.bestpctips.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif' alt=':P' class='wp-smiley' title="PC Shortcuts 12 Useful and Handy Shortcuts" /> but open the window where you will see the disk drives and the CD Rom.</p>
<h2><strong>6. Windows Logo + D</strong> – Show desktop; minimize all windows</h2>
<p>You know when you have so many windows open, and you need to go to the desktop to open a program?</p>
<p>You don’t need to minimize every single window one by one again. Just press Windows Logo + D and you will arrive on the desktop.</p>
<h2><strong>7. Tab </strong>– Go to next text area</h2>
<p>When filling forms on the web, especially username and password forms, this goes extremely handy.</p>
<p>When logging in, after typing the username, just hit “Tab” and tada! – you are at the password form without touching the mouse!</p>
<h2><strong>8. Typing name of file you’re looking for</strong> – Locating file</h2>
<p>Lets say you are in a folder called ‘Pictures’ and you want to locate a file photo called “mejumping.jpg”, just type “mejum…”. Usually you don’t need to type the file’s entire name – just some of its first letters will do.</p>
<h2><strong>9. Ctrl + Click</strong> – Individually selecting multiple files</h2>
<p>Lets say you are on a folder with lots of photos. You only want to select your good photos. How? Click a good photo. Then, Ctrl + click another good photo. Next, Ctrl + click another good photo!</p>
<p>See? It doesn’t unselect the previous files but adds the next files you have clicked to the selection!</p>
<h2><strong>10. Shift + Click</strong> – Select files from one end to another</h2>
<p>You are on a photo page.. again. And now, you want to select photos from “PICT1209” to “PICT1281”. How? Click “PICT1209”. Then Shift + Click “PICT1281”.</p>
<p>Tada! You have selected all the photos between “PICT1209” and “PICT1281”!</p>
<h2><strong>11. Alt + Double click</strong> – View file properties</h2>
<p>If you want to view the properties of a file, don’t need to Right Click &gt;&gt; Properties. Just hit Alt + Double Click and the properties will appear right before your eyes!</p>
