I can't decide whether to spend my weekend working on my blog template or not. I have nothing more to do but sit down in infront of my notebook and think. Grrrrr!!!! It's fall and cold outside, all you can see are leaves on the ground.

I'm over with the fb games and tired of reading forums. I'm pretty much done with errands today, the only thing on the list is to go with hubby to the gym. I just can't decide!

Countdown Begins

Heya, back here again! What's up my fellow bloggers? After seeing the overwhelming and devastating news about my homeland it's time to start anew my fellow Filipinos. I've finally heard from my siblings who live in Quezon City and Rizal, thankful that nobody got hurt from the flood.

Should I say now that the countdown begins? I can't wait! I started the countdown the moment my Booboo bought our tickets to the Philippines. It's not going to be a real real vacation as he is going to work while there and I will be with friends and family. It's a short trip but I will be able to see my friends and family that matters most.

Nobody in my family knows the date when we are coming, I want to surprise them. Anyway, it's not a good idea for them to pick us up in the airport as we are getting in midnight. That's even practical and less hassle for both party.

Can I ride a jeepney? Oh definitely! I will ride one! Also, tricycle, bus and cab well if possible even the pedicab! Will I eat street food? Oh yes! I will! Chicken intestine, chicken feet, squidballs, fishballs, oh so yummy when you dip it in the spicy vinegar.

Call me weird, but I miss the simple life back home too. Whenever I am at my mom's place in the weekend at 4am you can hear the bread guy with his "poot poot" that serves as an alarm to everyone. Having coffee and pandesal in the morning with the sound of the roosters crow and oh my dogs too. My niece let them get inmy room in the morning and they pull my hair to wake me up they are so cute! Anyway, have a good weekend everyone! Hmmmm how many more weeks we are landing in my homeland.

Philippines in the State of Calamity

I feel devastated watching the heartbreaking news about the PI. We are aware that many typhoons hit the Philippines every year but this year it's very sad that it affected many cities in Metro Manila and its nearby provinces. I can't help my tears from falling seeing the helpless people on top of their roof flowing in the flood screaming for help. I have friends in Rizal and Marikina areas that until now I haven't heard from them.

On the other hand, I am glad to see the "bayanihan" system of our "kababayans" they are risking their lives to save other lives. Everyone is willing to lend their hand to others, at this time everyone is equal, no poor no rich. We Filipinos overseas, what we can do to help? Prayers is the most powerful tool to help our country aside from the little kinds or amount we can donate. We are fortunate enough that we are safe and having our meals regularly.

Hope that many Filipinas out here will open their eyes and help back home. If they can brag about their big houses, luxury cars and many more why not send small amount to help? There are many ways to help, if I was there back home I maybe one of those volunteers distributing relief goods. But all I can do is pray and thank the creator that my family is safe.

More About Health

Since the former PI president died with colon cancer I got a little bit paranoid about it. I did not take medical course because I do not want to learn more about illness aside from being scared with needles. Since I heard the bad news 2 years ago I read a lot of colon cleanse reviews so that I have ideas about this one. Upon reading those reviews, it eased my paranoia. Having a healthy life style is a big factor too, you need annual check up so that you can monitor your health and avoid diseases.

Healthier Life Style

Weather here is a bit cooler that makes you get up late and snuggle more in the morning. It also makes us a little lazy sometimes however we now have a deal to have a healthy life style. We are going to the gym twice during weekdays and swim during Saturdays. While hubby is doing is cardio I will stay in the spa reading magazines and pamper myself in the whirlpool and steam room.

I do not go to the gym anymore since many of them are looking at me like asking me "what are you doing here?" I know I am too skinny and the gain weight program did not work for me. While they are trying to burn their fats for hours I am done in 15 minutes. I also talk to some of them asking me how did I manage to get so slim while they need fat burner to at least balance their diet. Trying my best to keep this updated however after all day at work I am exhausted and want to hit the bed right away. Anyway, at least every weekend I have time to update it at least. Wanna know what's up with me now? I am going to have my first vacation in the Philippines!

I'm counting the days! It's not on Christmas though, but I am so excited to see my family back home and so as my friends. I won't tell the date as I want to surprise everybody. I have my list of things to do while I'm there, count the street food and jollibee on the list! The siomai at Henlin! Hubby is getting me a derma appointment too since we are getting free medical from our insurance. I am hesitant to go to the dermatologist since my allergies are going away but he said it's free so why not take advantage of it to make sure my allergies will trigger again. I said are you sure everything is free? He looked at me and he knows what I want, he said that free treatment for acne but not for laser hair removal. I have no acne so I don't need that! I'd love to have a laser hair removal and I'm saving for it. I'm losing patience in waxing coz I'm having a hard time doing it and I can't perfect it. In the end I still need to pluck the left over hair.

Vacation Deals

After tiring weeks or months at work everybody deserves a getaway. You do not need to spend tons of bucks for your vacay, you can find great deals online. Search for sites that offers vacation packages, let say you stumble upon Gatlinburg vacations feel free to browse what they offer. It's always an advantage to get the full package, this way you can save more.

Laugh for the Day

One thing I've learned in life is "do not trust to much", why? This is very common to pinays, should I say one characteristic that I hate most, being crab mentality. Why they mind someone else's business when they can't even uplift their own life? I remember, Aunt Luvis told me before when I was in Kuwait that she is not against my friends there but what she can see is that they are not a good influence to me. I believe it's true as she is smart enough in life to see what I do not see before when I was younger. I owe Tita Luvis a lot, if it was not because of her and family I maybe ruined my life in the middle east. I'm thankful that they were with me during those times that no one will guide me.

Anyway, why did I remember Kuwait times? Last weekend, an old friend popped in my messenger asking how is it going, if am okay and a lot more of questions that made me raise my brows and wonder why. In short, they are worried about me because there was a rumor about me, what the H**K! I blurted with the loudest laugh ever! Oh by the way, someone from my friends told them about it, that a worked for a cafe and since many women in Angeles do that I do that as well. How narrow minded is that? First thing you need to know , Pampanga is a big province and not all people in AC and people who work in AC is working in a bar or a so called cyber.

These shallow headed people has nothing to do but talk about somebody else's life while they can't even fix their own life. I'm telling you if ever you stumble upon this blog that I pity you for what you're doing. Would you even care reading my resume so you'll have an idea what companies I did work for? Dear, they are mutli-national companies which I bet you never worked for, I doubt it if you ever stepped in huge buildings in Makati. I am proud of my accomplishments and the dirty things play in your mind is never in my list of things to do.

Jealousy can kill so watch out when you hear the latest news about me you may pass out. Just so you know, I am not in the Philippines I am happily married to the most wonderful person that every woman could ask for. How about you? I suggest you'd rather improve your life and watch out for your tounge remember in the ME when you lie they will cut your tongue.

Key in the Future

I feel good whenever I help someone and did not expect anything in return. If I can help them with I will do my best to do so. A friend of mine is in the process of her petition coming to the US, she got married in the Philippines in applied for a spouse visa. They are blessed with a beautiful child and one of the requirement in the embassy would DNA testing to grant them visa. It may take a while to get the result but this is how it works to prove that your relationship is genuine. We can't blame them for many requirements as there are many hoax happening, so I guess this is fair enough to both sides.

Road Trip

One of my favorite things to do with my hubby is road trip. Even when we're in DC during weekend we make the most of it, we go to the park, mall and during long weekend we drive to the beach. If we want to have a short road trip we go to Shenandoah Park in VA to feel the fresh air, hiking and overlooking when you are on top of the mountain make you feel so relaxed.

There are many family who love to spend their weekend here driving their RV. Your ticket is valid for one week and a long drive from the bottom til you reach the top of the mountain. But they also make sure that they have rv insurance for their safety. I love watching the RVs park sometimes in the street and the family are taking pictures. If you are lucky enough you will be able to see deers and many other wild animals crossing the street.

Back to Work!

Vacation is over! 5 days in Maui is not enough for us but we are ready to go back home and be with our little girl. Hawaii is such a paradise most likely I feel at home while there, the trees, beaches and the people. It's hard to tell my difference from the local since we look similar in most aspects. Also, the Filipino population in Hawaii is big, especially from the up North part of the Philippines.

We love the snorkeling, the clear water is very clean, the weather oh I love it! The island is very green and beautiful. People are very warm and hospitable that makes me feel more at home. On our second day, our Mom surprise us with cards and gift certificate, it is so nice and thoughtful of her to call the hotel and get us presents. Thank you Mom!

Most of our pictures are posted in my FB and FS account so to my friends who want to see them just check them out from there. As much as I wanted to say more, I can't, I'm running late to work so catch you later.

Weekend, Fun Day!

Yes, we are again infront of our computers after breakfast! Then on Monday our shoe shopping day! Yes! I have a few on my list already and will decide tomorrow which one will I get the day after.

Before I end up posting too long here, I need to say bye bye to my blog for now. I have a lot of stuffs to do hahahhaha. Well, I'm done with my grooming but not with my game yet. I got tired of my restaurant game in FB, my employees are always hungry and tired need rest or food. We want to have ping pong table, pool table and we can play tennis at the village court. We are taking our plans slowly and wanna make sure that every thing will turn out good. We can't wait but we are patiently planning for every thing and slowly building our own home and family.

We may forget about our computers when we finally move in our new home but one thing for sure is that we have our bonding moments after work. Wel, the question is, "are we all set?" it's in 2 weeks from now and today before we go to the movie house we will get my hubby's "weather weather lang" hat. Why weather weather lang? There is another story about it.

We are also bringing our 2 digicams and we are looking for to digital camcorders get one for our snorkling, I can't wait either! I go see a movie but with my friend and when hubby and I want to watch a movie we prefer getting a DVD and watch in in the comfort of our home theater. Our speakers are digital so it sounds like we are in a theater the only difference is that our tv is 52" and our seats are not for a theater.

Well tonight, he reserved us a date in a special movie place with a couch and they serve you food while the two of you are enjoying the movie. Oh, they also get you blanket and wrap yourself to fully enjoy the comfort of their theater. We are going to watch "Funny People" as we both like Adam Sandler.

Over 100F

Today is a record breaking day! The hottest day in Seattle with over 100F with only around 13% of the population has air conditioner in their homes. We are one of those 87% left with no AC but hey this is only one week suffering so I guess we can deal with it. Now, I believe that the heat makes everyone get cranky easily. Including myself, it's really hard when you are acclimated with the weather here and it's hard adjust a little bit when the temperature goes up like this week. But wait a minute, we are still lucky, we only experience this for a maximum of a month I guess while others experience this heat for half a year or even longer.

What am I going to wear to work today? A short and a tank top with slippers! Luckily we have our AC at work and hopefully it will work just fine. Darn I am from the pacific and once again I feel like am back home with this weather today.

Hot, Hot, Hot and Hot Week!

Dang! It's so hot this week that each of us in the house pant like there is no more air to breath. Air conditioner is not a necessity here but this week I feel like I am back home in our old boarding house. One more week to go and hopefully the weather will cool down to below 60. It's so funny how the three of us, my husband, the dog and myself look at each other. I do not want to say a word so else it will make the house warmer. Hot weather makes annoyed so much!

Oh take note we have no air conditioner here that even our dog has to adjust with it, she has to stay in front of the fan and we have to take up our big fan and turn it on all night facing to her bed. I feel bad looking at her panting and looks like it's the end of her world. We need to figure out how to solve this, either buy an AC unit however there is no place to put it but one thing for sure is that our next place will have AC. As for more than 10 places we looked at here last year only one of them has AC.

Scan It!

Working is fun! Though my work is not a real career for me, there are many things to make it enjoyable as I can. Natural mistakes that's what I meant, dealing with customers who are funny sometimes how they describe themselves with no idea how to use high tech printing machines. One time, I have a customer who picked up a project and bought some retail products. I covered my colleague's shift so I used the counter in their area.

There are 2 counters next to each other and so barcode scanners, I kept scanning the barcode for like 5 times and it does not show up on my monitor. Grrrrrr!!! I started to panic since I am alone in the center and decided to enter the sku manually, when I look at the scanners I realized I was using the wrong one! After I have entered the code manually, it was a funny blooper that I and my customer laughed at it oh well at least I did not ask her to sign to a wrong signature pad.

Am I Gaining?

Yesterday in our locker room at the club after swimming I weighed myself, I usually don't wanna do that as I do not want to monitor my underweight. Hhahaha, yes underweight! While other club members are trying to lose weight I am trying to gain. Dang! I am 88 lbs! Yipppeeee Does it mean I gained 2lbs? I need to gain at least 15 to get a balance weight with my height. If many are trying to take diet pills hoping to lose weight I am longing to get a gain weight supplement.

I remember hubby then fiance was so worried about me not to pass my medical exam prior to my visa interview since I am skinny. He even brought me flintstones vitamins, yes that is right flintstones so at least I have enough energy during my night shift at the call center. He was laughing because it's chewable but I have to take it with water. Hey I do not like medicines in any sort. But now, I decided and promised to him that I will take centrum daily. We put it in the bed side table so that he will remind me to take it before bed. I can't live with burger alone as I am a typical Filipina who would love to have rice at least twice a day if not thrice. Although hubby eats Filipino food I also make sure that we are having western food in our weekly meal. There are cases that I have to cook different meal for us to both enjoy our dinner or if we are both lazy pizza parlors are always open to deliver.

Anyway, yesterday morning I made him bacon and cheese omelet for breakfast while I decided to have rice (ohh yeah common for us Pinoys to have it in the morning!), bacon and "bagoong padas" with lemon on it. It completes my day, I feel like I have enough strength for our weekend swimming. Suddenly, hubby asked me why do I have "bait" on my plate. That was so hilarious that made me laugh so hard, imagine calling this little thing a bait?

He has this line, literally they are bait, oh yeah I understand that hahahhha, but back home they are such a meal! Our bait to catch fishes are earthworms! I called my farm a ranch to grow both crops and animals, it reminds me of my village life in the province with our huge farm. I am not sure though if I wanted to have my real farm in the future but who knows we can't tell. I may love to buy a farm when we move back home. Everything should be planned from every detail of what to do in the farm from poultry supplies, crops and also horse supplies if you want to have horses which I think best idea.I sometimes joke with hubby to get me a pony but there is nowhere to put it. Hahhaha, I don't think I can take care of a pony while I do not have enough time to take care of my doggy.

Future Security

Moving in the US is a big change for most immigrants, some say it's a land of opportunity which I agree. It's different here, although even back home I have my insurances from work, here there are many options to choose from. I did not apply for benefits at my work since I am fully covered of my husband. If you are do not have your benefits from work and want to get an insurance let say car or life insurance you can browse around for term life insurance online. Imagine, I have a friend and who bought a car and paid in cash then he got his insurance online right away and paying a very minimal amount.

Old Friends and Cuenca Batangas

What I miss about Cuenca is the quietness and the simple living of my friend. This is my getaway whenever I need a break from the city. I and my friends from Kuwait love to stay at Arnold's home surrounded with coffee, my favorite lanzones and many crops. Arnold is my good friend whom I lost contact 3 years ago or so and hoping that one day he will stumble upon this page and get in touch with me. There are many good memories in their place, Nanay and Tatay are very hospitable whenever the group was there.

Four years passed so quickly each of us faced our own destiny but as a friend I am hoping that one day I'll be able to reach with you guys. I have been searching and trying to reach you all and hope that through friendster or facebook you can all can find me. Anyway, speaking of Cuenca, I miss those times when the group go to Arnold place spend nights and enjoy the beautiful green place. The best part of it is that when Nanay and Tatay reserved a lanzones tree and invited me when the fruits are ready. I love the sound of the night where airconditioner is no longer needed as you will cuddle yourself with the natural nature cool breeze. The sound of the growling owls like a lullaby in our ears. The water well closer to the house but you need to slowly go down to the steep hill to get to the well.

Hope one day I will be able to visit this place again like before, where I can eat fried rice in the morning with dried fish and fried eggs. I hope that you guys did not forget about me, the "bunso", coffee addict and the "sutil" in the group. As I know when I have the chance to get in touch with you all.

Goodbye Twenties

I can't believe how time flies fast, it seems like yesterday I was a little kid who did not bother with anything but food, school and play. Things has changed so age, that little girl whom they call "bulilit" bloomed to be a lady. Now saying goodbye to her twenties, yep I just turned 30 ohhhh gossshhh!!!! What 30ish life would bring to me? It feels the same like when I was in my twenties maybe if I am still single at this time I will go crazy thinking about myself being an old maid. Holy molly! After next year my age will no longer be in the calendar, it feels good though shall I start my another 20s? As they said 30 is the new 20 so am I.....

How did my birthday go? Oh nothing especial since I need to go to work except my boss Mila gave me a little surprise with pizza and "ginataan" dessert. Aside from that they gave me half day to work and I can go home to celebrate my birthday. While my hubby as to go to work as well and he has to go to his team building at the lake Marilou took me home. They've been asking me to go happy hours to celebrate my birthday but I was hesitant to do so. Instead, waited home for my hubby as we've planned to go shopping and have dinner of my choice.

The 3 hours wait at home is such the longest wait in my life, so I took my notebook in the bedroom watch TFC and darn! Homesickness attacked me, ohh no not at this time please! I did entertain myself by taking the dog out, farming and friendsters but then I felt so sad at that day. I want to talk to someone but hey if I call the Philippines I'm pretty sure I will wake them up in the wee hours. Went down, opened the fridge look for something to eat and there I found a bottle of beer and found myself drinking. Yep, that was my first beer in the US after 2 years.

Hubby came and took me to shopping for my birthday darnnnn!!! Why when I have all the luxury to shop I can't find something. Went to the shoe stores, Macys and different shops grrrr I found nothing but a cutie blouse, shorts and capri pants. My hubby was so patient in following me with no complaint at all. Finally I got tired and headed to the Cheesecake Factory but there was a long line looks like a lotto line back home so I told hubby let's find another place and ended up to a Chinese Restaurant instead.

Thank you my friendster friends for all those greetings from all over the world, to all my relatives and to my loving MIL who gave us her presents in advance and for the first person who sang me happy birthday in my phone. I am now officially 30 and still trying to sink in of being a 30 year old wifey.
