Old Friends and Cuenca Batangas

What I miss about Cuenca is the quietness and the simple living of my friend. This is my getaway whenever I need a break from the city. I and my friends from Kuwait love to stay at Arnold's home surrounded with coffee, my favorite lanzones and many crops. Arnold is my good friend whom I lost contact 3 years ago or so and hoping that one day he will stumble upon this page and get in touch with me. There are many good memories in their place, Nanay and Tatay are very hospitable whenever the group was there.

Four years passed so quickly each of us faced our own destiny but as a friend I am hoping that one day I'll be able to reach with you guys. I have been searching and trying to reach you all and hope that through friendster or facebook you can all can find me. Anyway, speaking of Cuenca, I miss those times when the group go to Arnold place spend nights and enjoy the beautiful green place. The best part of it is that when Nanay and Tatay reserved a lanzones tree and invited me when the fruits are ready. I love the sound of the night where airconditioner is no longer needed as you will cuddle yourself with the natural nature cool breeze. The sound of the growling owls like a lullaby in our ears. The water well closer to the house but you need to slowly go down to the steep hill to get to the well.

Hope one day I will be able to visit this place again like before, where I can eat fried rice in the morning with dried fish and fried eggs. I hope that you guys did not forget about me, the "bunso", coffee addict and the "sutil" in the group. As I know when I have the chance to get in touch with you all.

Goodbye Twenties

I can't believe how time flies fast, it seems like yesterday I was a little kid who did not bother with anything but food, school and play. Things has changed so age, that little girl whom they call "bulilit" bloomed to be a lady. Now saying goodbye to her twenties, yep I just turned 30 ohhhh gossshhh!!!! What 30ish life would bring to me? It feels the same like when I was in my twenties maybe if I am still single at this time I will go crazy thinking about myself being an old maid. Holy molly! After next year my age will no longer be in the calendar, it feels good though shall I start my another 20s? As they said 30 is the new 20 so am I.....

How did my birthday go? Oh nothing especial since I need to go to work except my boss Mila gave me a little surprise with pizza and "ginataan" dessert. Aside from that they gave me half day to work and I can go home to celebrate my birthday. While my hubby as to go to work as well and he has to go to his team building at the lake Marilou took me home. They've been asking me to go happy hours to celebrate my birthday but I was hesitant to do so. Instead, waited home for my hubby as we've planned to go shopping and have dinner of my choice.

The 3 hours wait at home is such the longest wait in my life, so I took my notebook in the bedroom watch TFC and darn! Homesickness attacked me, ohh no not at this time please! I did entertain myself by taking the dog out, farming and friendsters but then I felt so sad at that day. I want to talk to someone but hey if I call the Philippines I'm pretty sure I will wake them up in the wee hours. Went down, opened the fridge look for something to eat and there I found a bottle of beer and found myself drinking. Yep, that was my first beer in the US after 2 years.

Hubby came and took me to shopping for my birthday darnnnn!!! Why when I have all the luxury to shop I can't find something. Went to the shoe stores, Macys and different shops grrrr I found nothing but a cutie blouse, shorts and capri pants. My hubby was so patient in following me with no complaint at all. Finally I got tired and headed to the Cheesecake Factory but there was a long line looks like a lotto line back home so I told hubby let's find another place and ended up to a Chinese Restaurant instead.

Thank you my friendster friends for all those greetings from all over the world, to all my relatives and to my loving MIL who gave us her presents in advance and for the first person who sang me happy birthday in my phone. I am now officially 30 and still trying to sink in of being a 30 year old wifey.

Oh well, I have been preoccupied with farming these past weeks, no time to update m blogs but every now and then I peek here. What's up with me? I had my dental appointment, glad to have found excellent cosmetic dentist here in our place. I had 4 consecutive visits to them every 6 weeks to check out on the development of my teeth. Their plan is to have my 2 crowns replace with porcelain but I haven't said to them yet. I told them no more root canal for me or heck I'm going to run away.

I thought I'm the only one having this problem and so my friend in NJ. She's been looking for Orange New Jersey cosmetic dentist that she can trust so her teeth will be fixed. She had her braces back home, now that she moved in the US she wanna find a good dentist who will take care of her dental needs.

Well, well, well! I'm back! Sigh! It's been a busy week farming, yep farming in FB! We are into it and no time even blogging. There were many things happened, all good! I've met my friend Gracy though short time but it's all worth it. Then I discovered this game in FB and hubby got hooked to it as well.

Then in the week of our anniversary and birthday my loving MIL spent a long weekend with us. Thanks Mom! She took us to the San Juan Islands and had a great time whale watching. The Orcas are lovely, did I say we are lucky to see the pods on that beautiful day? Yep we saw them! Got some vids but too big to upload here. We had our great anniversary and birthday dinner too and all courtesy of our Mothra.

Joining forums is very helpful at least in my case, as I learn a lot of things from other people. Before I buy products I read their reviews first say for example my face mask product I made sure that the reviews is not below 4 stars at least. In girl forums I regularly visit I am learning a lot from beauty products, gaining weight tips which I am trying to do and also slimming pills review where most of them are trying to get the best pill. They are not only talking about positive views but also their negative experience from each of them.

Cross Country Moving

Moving is painless when you found the right movers to assist you from the little details until you get to your destination. Prior to moving here last year we shop from different cross country movers before we finally picked the one that we think will work great for us. We did not regret choosing our movers as they are very professional yet friendly. Every detail is communicated well with us from the estimate, insurance, packing and storage when it get to the its destination.

As I thought moving is such a pain but I was wrong, our movers packed our stuff all we did was watched them and supervise. Everything reached our new place safe they even help us unpacked and assemble furniture. They came back after 3 days to pick up the empty boxes so we really had a smooth move from the East Coast to West Coast.

Clean and Green Garden

Gardening is one of my hobbies since I was a kid. During my elementary years our school principal used to excuse me from my classes whenever they need someone to plant in our school garden whether it could be ornamental plants, fruit bearing plants or vegetables. She believes that I am gifted in planting as they grow pretty fast and keep our school on top from clean and green contests in our school district.

I am looking forward to own our home with a big yard so I can utilize my planting gift again. I am so jealous whenever I see beautiful plants in our neighborhood and mimic that one day I will have my beautiful garden too with different plants. I want to have different plots for veggies, flower plants next to the fence and edible plant in each plot so we can grow them in our own yard and pick them when it's ready. This will be a great savings too aside from being homegrown we are also sure that they are free from chemicals.

Seventy Years

We thank our creator for my Mom's 70th birthday yesterday. Looking back to those times when the family were fighting for a big challenge our mom stood up with her own two feet to raise 8 children and be both mother and father to us. We are her inspirations to face all the trials and get through all those trials. She has given us all her love and dedicated her life to us, she may not be the best mother to others but I could say that she is the greatest mother to us. and to my friends. I've witnessed all her sufferings at the very young age and promised myself that in time she will get a life she deserves.

I'm glad that on this day, we gave her a party that she never had before with one whole roasted pig, cakes and balloons. Thank you to the technology I was able to see their happiness via webcam. Not to mention the 15 hours time difference to keep me up until 3AM with mixed emotions, sad that am not there but happy with our surprise to my loving mom.

I can compare my niece laptop now to a car, when it does not function something gone wrong. I can't believe it that the hard disk has bunch of ants and it damaged the hard disk and needs replacement. I told her that when you have a car you need to take care of it, check it regularly so the computer. Let say you have a ferrari car of course you will take care of it as much as you can. You will even equipped it with accessories and get some Ferrari parts that are not included when you bought it. I cited that sample to her comparing car to laptop as we know laptops back home are very expensive and hard to find a trustworthy technician that is why I recommended to bring it to our former boss to get fixed.

In this lovely song of the hottest katrina and hayden s*x scandal I burst into laughter, it's very artistic in my opinion. Hhahahhaha!!! Best Friends Forever in Seattle

It's 10 AM my eyes are still trying to sleep in, my arms want to hug the pillows in the comfort of our new bed today. My phone rang downstairs, oh gosshhhhh it's 10 AM did I forget we have a girls weekend today? I asked hubby what he wants for break and he said "omelet", I rushed to the kitchen brew the coffee and started the bacon (he never gets tired of bacon!) then prepare the potatoes, eggs and cheese.

My friend called again reminding me we have to meet at 10:30 AM to catch the 11:15 screening of the comedy movie" Best Friends Forever" starring the comedy queen Ai Ai Delas Alas and the megastar Sharon Cuneta with John Estrada. Oh shoot! There is no way I can make it at 10:30 so we agreed to just see the 2pm screening.

I contacted other friends to join us and I am so excited to have a girls Saturday escapade, hmm I wish there is Victoria Secret shop in the mall so we can hang in there after the movie. They have a Memorial Day big Sale weekend. Let's go girl grab your wallet and rush to the VS store.

I think I have said enough now, let me rush to the bathroom and get read. I know it's early for 130 meeting but we have to drive 20 minutes to the movie house and will take time to get myself done.

I have been looking for affordable memory stick for my niece camera and for my cellphone. One time we went to the store and I bought the wrong one. My niece keep asking me to send her computer gadgets too but can't find where to get them. I finally found where I can order them and deliver it worldwide. It is still cheaper to get them from here than getting them back home. I can even order more to sell to their friends and classmates.

Luna Biscuit loves it when the UPS guy delivers package to us she would run to the door when the door bell rings and wag her tail right away. You may wonder why, the UPS guy would get a treat out of his pocket and give it to my pup! The moment she grabbed the treat she runs to the living room and feast with it. I can't believe it because she is very picky when it comes to treat and food. She is not a usual dog that eats right away when you give her food rather she would let it age a little bit then when she's ready to eat she will go to her food and pick up her food and take it to the living room. It's so funny to watch her bring her food to the living room I wonder if she gets full going back and forth to the kitchen.

Summer Beach Break

I would love to go to the beach to take a break from the noisy world in the city, tiring job, bad economy and all I wanna do is enjoy the beauty of the nature. What about spending 2 weeks in the beach? Hubby and I are looking forward to have our summer break maybe in Hawaii. We are checking travel deals from different sites and hoping to get the best one.

We also wanna take a break from rain and cold city! Wow, I can't imagine how I survive from 9 months cold and rainy season. Until now I can't believe that we do not really need an air conditioner here but we need a heater.

Okay I'm back again though you cannot see me blogging as much as I used to do last year. This year I slow down in writing and concentrate to my work and my mini buy and sell business. So far it's doing great not that I'm earning a lot but at least even with what I spent to it or a little more.

Our short trip to Washington, DC was fun. I met my friends, had lunch and shopping with them. We had very short time chit chatting ohhhh I wish we can stay longer but we need to fly back home. I am very happy to see my friends again and hoping to see them again next year. The weather was not cooperative when we got to DC ohhh gossshhhh it was beautiful when we left Seattle and raining when we arrived at Dulles airport. When I went to DC to meet my friends I can't get out of the subway station it was raining hard and ended up buying umbrella from a street vendor. We did not take the tour bus as we've planned but oh well hopefully next year it will be a blast.

I have known many personalities who started from the bottom and now their well known all over the world.

My goodness! I haven't updated my blog for quite a while! What am I doing? I need to make up with you guys and will visit yours as soon as I get back from our trip. I still have few minutes to kick my B in the shower to bring the dog to her Nana and drive to the airport. I am excited! Yes, obviously I am!

It's been 8 months since we moved here in Seattle at last we are going to visit DC while hubby is in his conference I will take advantage to see my friends and relatives and wander around. Oh meee goosshhh!! I lived in DC for a year and half and I realized that I haven't been to those must see spots. My digicam, ipod cellphones are fully charged and ready for this trip.

Three days out of work, oh I love it! I want sunshine when I get there please oh weather goddess please let the sun shines for 3 days! Anyway, got to go now!

It's amazing how the inventors of high technology equipment make our life and job easier. When I was a kid I always wonder how they built big buildings and houses made of brick, wood, concrete and every thing in it. All I know was there were big industrial trucks that they use to build them but there are also small things that they use. One of them is the hand held device where different industrial hand wheels are made to make the job as easier as possible. Also, lik those mini tools where you can connect and build furniture without using a nail and hammer manually as the tools can be just plug in to make your work fast and easy.

Bagel, Bread and Movie

Happy weekend everyone! It's a beautiful Saturday morning today, the sun is shining so bright and the cool breeze of the wind make you get up and take advantage of the beautiful weather in the spring. We had a meeting today at work and just got home with bagels from our boss as a treat for the team members for doing such a great job this month.

We are going to take the Biscuit to meet her Nana when we go to our vacation so they will get use to each other. I'm sure my baby will be fine and will be very behave with them. I am proud of my dog as she never gives us headache. When we take her to the hotel before everybody loves her so to the grooming as well. When they bath her she only stand and let you finish bathing her but be careful with her when she shakes herself.

Maybe we will take her to the park after meeting her nana and tonight will be a movie night. We went to Barnes & Noble to get the DVD of the trailer we saw in the Slumdog Millionare. Oh yeas speaking of Slumdog do not watch it when you are eating as there is a scene that I almost throw up while having my dinner. So I missed most of that part as I do not want to focus my eyes on the screen while feasting with my dinner.

Letting Go of Extra Pounds

Oh well, I am not talking about myself losing weight but my friends who are trying to. Another friend of mine is motivated to lose weight as she bought clothes from me but it did not fit her. She is now working out regularly and so far not considering those weight loss pills yet. She is being challenged to lose it in a natural way without taking any pill as she has to look after her health.

I admire her being careful as we can see in any commercial on TV about any drugs whether it's supplement, vitamins or over the counter drugs there is a disclaimer. The viewers are aware of those and they need to inform their physician first if they are able to take it or not.

Need A Break

Work, work, work and work! Sometimes, I'm telling my hubby that we need a break and relax where we are able to unwind. Hubby is already looking for places to visit and I told him that I would love to go visit Las Vegas again and stay in our favorite hotel there. Although, there are many Vegas hotels to choose from our fave hotel is our top list. It is far from the city proper but when you are in that hotel it looks like a paradise to us with huge pools and a nature scenery.

Great! That's all I can say for now hahahha, my hubby took me to sale shopping yesterday. I got a lot of stuffs and of course the wifey is happy since we haven't gone to shopping for quite a while now. Mostly we do our shopping online too so we can save time due both of us are busy and we want to make the most of our weekends together.

Anyway, our next battle is my niece computer for some reason she said it shut down. I think the OS is corrupted or maybe infected with virus. I will find out if it needs replacement when my friend visits them and check what's wrong with it. If there is no chance it will be fixed is that mean we have to get a new one? Ohhhh please I wish we can afford to replace it and get a huge discount too.
