In recording 'Another Way to Die', the theme song for 22nd James Bond film 'Quantum of Solace', White Stripes star Jack White and singer-songwriter Alicia keys have made the first duet in Bond soundtrack history.

"Another Way to Die", performed by Alicia Keys and Jack White, is the theme song to the 2008 James Bond film, Quantum of Solace. Written and produced by White, who also plays the drums, the song is the first duet in the Bond film series. The single will be released by White's label Third Man Records as a limited edition of 6000 7" Vinyl in the US on September 30, 2008 and on October 6, 2008 in the UK. An instrumental version of the song was used in a Coca-Cola commercial, as Coke Zero will become Coke Zero Zero Seven in order to promote the movie. Roughly the first 2 minutes of the song were first played on September 13 on the radio show "Siglo 21" on Radio 3 in Spain. The song was premiered on September 18 on Jo Whiley's show on BBC Radio 1. Newsbeat described the reaction from listeners who e-mailed their opinions as mixed. It debuted on the UK singles chart at number 26.On October 3, the video of the song was premiered on Channel 4.

This morning we announced to our members details of an incredible whistlestop two-day concert tour the Patrol are set to undertake to celebrate the release of 'A Hundred Million Suns'.

Crossing the British Isles from Dublin to Belfast, Edinburgh and London, the 'Take Back The Cities Tour' will see the band play four capital cities in a 48 hour period.

The tour kicks off at lunchtime on Sunday 26th October at The Gate Theatre in Dublin and will be followed by a show in Belfast that evening at The Empire. The following day Monday 27th October, the band will head to Edinburgh's Assembly Hall for a midday performance of new tracks from 'A Hundred Million Suns' alongside SP classics, before heading to London for the final show in the series at The Bloomsbury Theatre.

Born in Los Angeles, Thicke grew up with an ear trained squarely at R&B and hip-hop. “I was listening to Kurtis Blow at 8, NWA at 12, Jodeci and Mary J. at 14 and Boyz II Men and Babyface soon after,” Thicke says. “I didn’t even listen to rock and roll music until I was 17. Congratulations to The Rumpus Room who have just won a Gold Cyber Lion award at the Cannes International Advertising Festival for creating Pet Shop Boys' innovative "Integral" video.On a grey London bridge, the camera focuses on a series of pixellated images on posters. The posters change quickly enough to create the illusion of motion. Like a flip book. Or a music video.

In the background, commuters hunch against the rain and move in jerky fast-forward, blurred next to the silent, shifting pixels.

The scene changes, but the focus remains on the pixellated images. Your eyes are drawn to the black and white blocks, jumping around on the static page, while cars, trains and worlds rush about fuzzily behind them. This makes you feel a bit sick. Perhaps that is the point. Perhaps the idea of ID cards, the Pet Shoppies are saying, should by concept alone make you feel a bit sick. It's working.

Neil Tennant occasionally passes through the pixel pictures. His face revolves, with rays of light passing over it like one of those evil eye scanners one might use to make one of the bad identity card things that the song is about.

The Orwellian imagery swells and the image of dozens and dozens of eyes flash past us on the pixel paper, all in front of - this is symbolic, so listen - in front of the MI6 building.

Having scored a No. 1 on the indie singles chart with their limited edition EP J Smith, Travis announce the release of a new single - Something Anything - on Sept 15th.

Landing someplace between the breakthrough stomp of Good Feeling and garage band overdrive of All I Want To Do Is Rock, the tough beat led grooves and guitar licks of Something Anything are indicative of Travis's forthcoming album Ode To J Smith -- the first to be written on electric guitar since their debut, and due for release in September on Travis's own label Red Telephone Box.

Something Anything is available on 7", CD single and as a download. Additional tracks include Travis's cover of The Kinks classic Lola and two new songs all unavailable elsewhere.

Teaming up once more with Michael Baldwin -- who directed all the videos for The Boy With No Name -- Travis take Andy Dunlop's driving guitar riff as the centre piece for a video that sees a 10ft tall Andy tearing into a solo that leaves the rest of the band suitably awestruck.

McFly - Lies

McFly release their brand new single ‘Lies’. This spanking new track didn’t appear on The Sunday Mail 10 track giveaway album in July but it’s one of four brilliant new tracks which will be making an appearance on the deluxe edition of the new album 'Radio:ACTIVE'.

UK pop quartet McFly burst on to the chart scene with a fresh twist on the boy band formula, they played their instruments! They wrote their own material! Lead vocalist and chief songwriter Tom Fletcher originally tried out for Busted, but when he was beaten to the position by Charlie Simpson the band's management held further auditions to form a new outfit centred around him. The links between the two bands were cemented when Fletcher contributed material for Busted b-sides, and the two bands toured together in 2003. The invaluable exposure from the tour helped push McFly's debut single, "5 Colours In Her Hair" to the top of the UK singles chart where it was promptly joined by debut full length ROOM ON THE 3RD FLOOR. Follow-up effort, WONDERLAND, matched that achievement and in 2006 they moved into the movies, starring alongside Hollywood starlet Lindsay Lohan in the film JUST MY LUCK.
