Being a Bethesda lifestyle newborn photographer allows me to not only photograph small squishy babies and sweet tiny toes, but to also meet some of the sweetest people. Do you ever meet people that you just know you want to be lifelong friends with? That is me with this sweet mama and her gorgeous family. The last time I saw this family, they were brand new to parenthood with her first baby boy. And now they are the parents of two boys…two incredibly sweet boys. Their once tiny baby boy is now running all over the house, and saying the sweetest things. He loves trucks and is completely fond of his little brother. Watching this little boy become a big brother is so sweet and seeing the love for his brother in his eyes is enough to melt my heart. I think one of my favorite things about being a family photographer is being given the privilege to watch families grow, and to photograph their moments along the way. This family truly shows love in everything they do and these little boys are helping them to make the sweetest of memories.

Tiny Best Friends | Vienna In Home Newborn Photographer

Being a Vienna in home newborn photographer allows me to work with some of the best families ever! I first met this sweet family when they welcomed their first baby into their family, and now that baby has grown and become a big sister! I saw their sweet family again last weekend, as we photographed their first portraits as a family of four and they introduced me to their newest addition. Watching this sweet big sister completely adore her little brother was heart melting. She was her happiest when her parents let her hold him and the way that she looks at him makes me believe that they are best friends already. These sweet parents are the luckiest and they are just the cutest with their kids. Between cuddling the baby and tickling their toddler, they had the best smiles on their faces. I have always loved being a lifestyle newborn photographer because, despite the sleepless nights and tiredness that comes with being a new parent again, there is such a feeling of joy and happiness with all of the families I work with. And this family is sure full of smiles and love.

One of the best things about being an Arlington lifestyle family photographer is being able to watch families grow, over the years. When I first met this family, they were brand new parents to their daughter and when I saw them again last week…they introduced me to another sweet little baby! Their once tiny baby girl is now a walking, talking, big sister! She loves to give her brother kisses and dine on cheddar bunny snacks. Her smile and laugher are beautiful, and she can’t help but giggle when she is around her little brother. And oh my, her little brother! He spoiled me with sweet smiles from the second I saw him until I packed up my camera to leave. His smiles are heart melting! Just watching this sweet family together filled my heart…and filled my camera with the most beautiful images for them to cherish in the years and years ahead! Their home is so full of fun and love, making my time with them so adorably sweet. And speaking of their home, it is full of their beautiful family photos that we took together last time. There is nothing better than seeing families enjoy their photos and fill their walls with their memories! Being able to watch this family grow and become a family of four is an honor! Being a Fairfax in home lifestyle newborn photographer is so rewarding. I am honored to work with some of the sweetest families, as they welcome a family tiny member into their lives. And this family is certainly one to remember. Upon being welcomed into their gorgeous home and meeting their tiniest new addition, I spent a morning full of heartfelt moments and laughter with this sweet new mama and daddy. In between photographable moments, I heard all about their baby’s birth story and first days home as a new family. At almost two weeks past her due date, this little sweet pea was sure worth the wait. Not only was she calm and darling throughout her entire first photography session, but she shared a few smiles with my camera that melted my heart. As I took her portraits, her parents sweetly looked upon her and their eyes said it all. They are simply in love with her sweet little girl! As they navigated their first days of diaper changes, feedings and learning to master the perfect swaddle, they were so fun to chat with between photo scenes. One of the best things about being a newborn photographer is not only photographing such beautiful brand new life, but to also meet some new friends while doing so. I am so fortunate to have some of the best clients and I cannot wait to watch this sweet family grow. They are blessed for sure!

Little Brothers | Washington DC In Home Newborn Photographer

The last time I saw this family, I had been a new mama for a short 8 weeks. They were my first newborn session after maternity leave and I was so nervous to be away from my little one for the first time. I will never forget how they felt more like friends than clients, as they welcomed me into their home and introduced me to their own brand new baby. And three years later, we meet again as they have welcomed another sweet little boy into their family. And this family is just as sweet and kind as ever. While the first time we swapped stories on newborn sleep and feedings, this time we laughed over the trials of potty training and navigating toddlerhood with infants! One of the things I always love best about being a Washington DC in home newborn photographer is seeing my families grow and change over the years. I love seeing the babies that I once photographed at just days old now running around the house and showing their personality. And one of the things that I adore most about this new big brother is his love for his new baby brother. When most kids run away from a fussy baby, this big brother is right there with him, helping him to calm. Their sweet friendship is just beginning and it will be so sweet for these parents to watch them become the best of brothers in the years ahead.

A Tiny Sister | Falls Church In Home Newborn Photographer

One of the best things about being a Falls Church in home newborn photographer is watching families grow. I met this family a couple years ago, as I photographed their first family of 3 portraits after their first daughter’s birth. And now, they introduced me to their second baby girl last weekend as I photographed them as a brand new family of 4! I love seeing my family clients throughout the years and it’s always so heartwarming to see the newborns I once photographed now running around the house! Time sure goes by fast, as all parents know. While this sweet tiny sister lays peacefully in most of these newborn portraits, she will soon be running behind her sister and playing throughout the house. This house is so full of love. You can see it in the photos they frame on their walls and in their eyes when they look at their sweet girls. And not only love, but laughter. As these sweet girls grow and grow, their home will be so full of sounds of laughter and little feet running around. This family is so very blessed! And to be honest, with two girls the same ages apart at my own house, hanging out with this family very much felt like home away from home. As a mama of girls, I am so excited for this sweet mama to watch her daughters develop the sweetest of sister bonds.

The Sweetest Little Pea | Pentagon City Newborn Photographer

Well, it is official. I think this may be one of my favorite newborn sessions ever! Oh goodness, where to begin!? Being a Pentagon City newborn photographer allows me to meet and work with so many wonderful families, but this family is definitely one that I will remember so fondly. Upon being welcomed into their beautiful home, I meet their handsome 12 day old son who made my heart melt into a puddle! Oh my goodness, the sweet little sounds this little guy made paired with his stunning eyes had me feeling all the baby fever. And he is so loved by his mommy and daddy, it is so breathtaking to see! I love working with brand new families, especially during the first weeks after their baby is born. There is something so beautiful about that first few weeks, as everyone is getting to know one another and that bond with their baby is so strong. Among the sleepless nights, there is something so irreplaceable about the first weeks with your newborn that makes being invited into their home such an honor for me. I love being apart of capturing all of those tiny details and memories as a brand new family in images that they will share with their son someday. Just watching this sweet couple with their new little boy made me so excited for his future, which is sure to be full of fun and laughter. And Star Wars. (I can honestly say their swaddle wins for best swaddle print!)

What a great way to start off my first newborn session of 2019…with one of my returning clients! I met this couple when they were expecting their first baby and not only photographed their first family portraits as a family of three, but just this weekend photographed them again as brand new family of four! Like my husband and I, they waited until delivery to find out the gender of both their children and…it’s more blue for them! Not only did they welcome another little boy into their family, but their littlest is identical to his big brother! So much so that we joked about not being able to tell their newborn photos apart! And what a sweet big brother! Not only does he love his new little brother, but he is “his baby.” All throughout this mama’s pregnancy, her little boy lovingly talked about “his baby” and awaited the day until he would become a big brother. Not only is he so sweet to his tiny little sibling, but he is so full of happiness and joy. Being around this sweet family simply made me smile and their newborn collection contains so much happiness as they welcome their newest son into their family. It’s families like this that make being a Falls Church newborn photographer so much fun because I simply get to photograph love and happiness. And in between photos, have such fun conversations about adventures in parenthood and raising sweet little ones. I adore this family and know that there are years of fun ahead of them with these two sweet boys.

The First Month | DC Newborn Baby Photographer

spending saturday morning with this sweet new family of three was an honor. at almost one month old, this sweet little girl is completely adored by her two parents. and just like all parents during their first month, this new mama and daddy continue to learn more and more about their sweet baby every day. from what makes her calm to how she likes to be cuddled close, these parents make parenthood look completely natural as they comfort and love on their sweet daughter. there are so many sweet things to say about this little one, how can i only name a few!? not only does she have the most precious head of hair, but she is also so calm and cozy. and she loves to be cuddled close to her parents. whenever she fussed, she was quickly calmed simply by snuggling close to mama. there is something so sweet about watching a baby instantly calm when being held. their entire bodies relax once they are embraced by their parents and everything about them calms. just being around this sweet family made me smile and it’s so obvious that this little girl has brought so much joy and happiness to their lives. the walls of their home will be full of the most precious memories and full of the happiest sounds of laughter in the years ahead and this little girl is so incredibly blessed with sweet parents. if there is one thing that i love the most about being a DC newborn baby photographer, it’s watching adorable new families like this in their first weeks as a new family. it’s truly an honor.

A Brand New Brother | Silver Springs Newborn Photographer

I was honored to spend Saturday morning with one of my favorite clients, whom I haven’t seen in awhile! The last time I saw them, their son was 9 months old and I was pregnant with my first. Now that 9 month old boy is almost 4 years old and he is a new big brother! And not only is he as sweet as pie, but he is the most affectionate and caring big brother ever! From the moment I arrived at their home, this new big brother not only showed me around his new brother’s nursery but was thrilled with how it was decorated in a space theme. Not only does he take a lot of pride in his brother, but is completely infatuated with everything from his sweet head to tiny, twelve day old toes! One of the reasons why I really enjoy this family is because they are so much fun. They keep me laughing and they make parenthood look effortless. Their happiness is contagious and, not only was I smiling throughout their entire session, but I continued to smile as I edited this collection, as every single image contains so much love and happiness. Not only are these two sweet boys completely darling, but they are so blessed with two amazing parents. I am so excited to share these images and am honored to have photographed such a sweet time for this family. It’s families like this that make being a Silver Springs newborn photographer the most heartwarming job there is.
