Rosh HaShanah Conference

When the trumpet of Messiah sounds, the scattered exiles of Israel will be gathered together from the four corners of the earth, and those who are in Messiah will be caught up in the air with Him, and those who sleep will awaken, and together we will all be gathered to Messianic Jerusalem. This Rosh HaShanah(Hebrew) Literally "head of the year" a day in the biblical calendar that marks the beginning of the agricultural year. The biblical term for this day is Yom Teru'ah (Day of Blasting, often called "Feast of Trumpets"), come celebrate and learn about the great Messianic Ingathering by participating in a trial run at Beth Immanuel. read more »

Rabbi Lichtenstein and the Dead Sea Scrolls

On Wednesday evenings at 7 pm at Beth Immanuel, we are studying through Rabbi Yechiel Tzi Lichtenstein’s commentary on the Gospel of Matthew. Lichtenstein has an interesting comment that I found to be accurate. The interesting thing about the comment is that Lichtenstein assumes something to be true because of his trust in the New Testament as Scripture. He is commenting on Matthew 1:23 which states:

“Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us). - (Matthew 1:23, ESV) read more »
