How to Research a Topic with the Speed of Light

Well, not actually, because Einstein's Special Theory of Relativity says that it is possible to go at a speed lower or higher than that of light but NOT at the speed of light.

PowerSet, a natural-language search engine started in 2005 takes search to a new level. You can find answers by typing in your questions directly, not just by keying in the keywords.

Powerset mainly focuses on Wikipedia - it finds topics from Wikipedia and lists it in a more user-friendly manner.

If you still can't get it than just head over to PowerSet and try some queries for yourself! And if you're not sure about what you should search than you can try some queries like

Some of the features that I like about PowerSet are that it is natural language based and that means less searching and fast results. And because it aggregates the info from trusted sources like Wikipedia and FreeBase it is much more accurate and includes next to no spam.

Factz is a new feature that extracts information about a particular topic from the sentences in Wikipedia. It is based on a simple grammar trick >> subject and its relation with the object.

What does Powerset say about Factz

What are Factz?: Factz are concise representations of information extracted from sentences. They are represented in three parts: the subject, relation and object (e.g. Oswald shot JFK). Factz are one way that Powerset represents the meaning of a sentence. Of course, Factz do not always represent truth, but rather propositions that are asserted in the text of Wikipedia.

On the search results page, you will often see Factz for general topic queries. These Factz are collected from pages across Wikipedia. Click a word in one of the three columns to see the sentences that support the selected fact.

On a particular topic page, you can see the Factz extracted from the given page in the outline. Click on one to scroll directly to the sentence from which the fact was derived.

Let me show you an example of a query and its Factz.

Query for France, one of my favorite European Countries shows the following result(Please Click to Enlarge the Picture)

The Factz about France say the following:

sent: troops, supplies, aircraft, soldiers and helicopters
declared: war
oppressed: Germany, movements and movements

If you notice carefully, the oppressed section has two identical words, movements. This is because PowerSet may have encountered France in relation to Oppression in 2 distinct Wikipedia articles! And there are about 111 Factz on France besides all the great results it gives.

So if you're having a class assignment due by tomorrow and you don't have time to thoroughly read and understand the topic you can make use of the Powerset Factz that are fun to discover about a particular subject.

Should I appoint an SEO company or do it on my own?
If you are a budding business and your website needs a stream of targeted traffic you should go with an SEO company that plans out the whole SEO and SEM procedures. Yahoo Recently just launched a Yahoo Mash Service. It is just like the Ning Etc. In that we have a pet. We can do anything like Feed Pet,Smack the pet and more. The Pet is not a pet...its a paper made face and they tell its a pet. If we Invite Friends We make their accounts and we send them to activate it.

As we create others account we are automatically added in their account friends. We can change our photo..upload a photo from computer or Add our avatar that we made..or there is a link to change our avatar....now there more cool avatar t-shirts and more in Yahoo Avatars. Anyway If you got a Invite then only you can Access it! But not only you can edit your page but your friends too . Your buddies can add stuff to your webpage.

Google has again made access to information a much easier task than ever before and thats not by going to Google's website but through your own phone! The new Google Voice Local Search is currently in beta that means it'll not be available all the time and to all users. They are currently fine-tuning their service. The newest Google Undergrad will be soon launched full-fledged. Some of the people who have tested this service have experienced good results but it will improve over time as Google says it.

Google Voice Local Search is free of charge but local call charges may apply. And yes, this is available only for US businesses and users.

Afterall, Gmail is out of BETA about after 2 years! Remember if you were one of the BETA testers you may have made a nice moolah just for giving the Gmail accounts. It was not very difficult for anyone having a Gmail account to create unlimited number of accounts. Gmail acquired a lot of attention firstly because it was by Google, secondly its intuitive and third its the fastest email on earth.

Gmail provides all the services for FREE that many providers like Yahoo! charge. This includes POP3 email, auto-forwarding to another e-mail address and much more. You can also access 5 of your other email accounts from one Gmail account and unlimited number of from addresses.

So if you were searching or buying the invite then now is your lucky day. Enjoy your account to use all the Google services among which are Google Pages, Google Picasa, Orkut and many more..

FREE ONLINE STORAGE - Part 1

For somedays to come I'll be going through some fabulous online storage sites. The best part about these sites are that they are FREE (or may have some upgradeable plans for individuals or business wanting MORE).

Mediafire

A new startup that has some very new concepts that aren't yet introduced in solid free online storage companies. It is unique in the sense that it lets everyone (member as well as non-members) store any amount of files. Startling thing is that the files need not be capped with the size. You can upload file having size 100KB, 1GB, 2 terabyte (Ok, just joking you wouldn't be doing that on a free service, will you?).

Its interface is quite clean without offensive ads but you can see some ads occasionally while uploading. The sign up form us asks email that is used to login and a password, which is quite obvious!

After you've uploaded your files it gives you links in HTML, BBcode (for forums), myspace and Yahoo! messenger.

So, all in all I have had great experience with this host!

Ok, so many of you may be familiar with the Yahoo! mail beta that Yahoo! announced a long time ago. They even collected the mail id's of the people interested to test-drive it before anyone but I think no one really got it (including yours faithfully). But I came across tis secret URL that many of you wouldn't be knowing. You can test it before many. I did it.

Let me tell you that its still in BETA thats is it still has some BUGS and by some I mean many because everytime I tried accessing it all of my Firefox windows closed automatically..strange huh? Well I couldn't also figure out where to read the message because its like a window in a window. I should say they have tried to be much like Gmail but couldn't compete it...and no one can at the present!

Whatever may it be, experiences differ so you shouldn't hesitate checking it atleast..afterall you can return to your old (but good) Yahoo! mail.

Forwarding and POP3 access

Forwarding fork brilliantly in Gmail. This service is a paid service in Yahoo! mail service whereas Gmail provides it at NO COST. Now suppose that I have 2 gmail addresses, bettertips & bettertips.blogspot and I give both the e-mails on my blog. People can send to either of the mail addresses but it would become extremely difficult for me to maintain both of them. So what I'll do is I will login to the email that I rarely use and got to Settings--Forwarding and POP3 and I'll set the forward e-mail to the one that I use most of the time. It's that simple and easy! You can also manage your from address from the Gmail inbox!!

AOL (America Online) announced on 9th August of the launch of its new service called AOL® My eAddress. The service planned to be launched in September will allow anyone to set up a completely personalised .COM or .NET e-mail address (upto 100) for NO CHARGE at all!
This address will be a gateway that could be used to access any and all of the AOL services just like Google and Yahoo! currently provide. Considering the fierce competition on the web AOL has also planned to give away 5GB of FREE storage!
