I'm Moving....

I know I know, you're thinking AGAIN... all those books.
A least this move does not involve packing, and boxes, and stress.

In fact this move is going to help me be less stressed. Have more time, and not feel like I am letting YOU ALL (my readers) down.

I am going to be Co-blogging with Angela @ Reading Angel.

We will be having a whole blog revamping, which is in process as we speak, and things are going to be MORE. More for you. More fun for us, and just all that.

This was a difficult decision to make. SERIOUSLY the hardest thing. Ever. Dealing with the blogging world that is. But as life continues to get more and more hectic, with no release. Reading & blogging has become harder for me.

So in this (hard) decision I realized that I would get a relief, she would get a relief, and YOU ALL would get to join us on this new, fun adventure.

I hope each and everyone of you go and follow us. Nothing about the things I do will change. I will still be the me you all have come to love. The crazy, sassy, improper Southern bell!!

So come with me, please. & look for a bunch of awesomeness!!

Between The Pages will be here for a while. This is where I will be referring to all of my PAST reviews. I cannot let it DISAPPEAR! But, I will not be here. I will be HERE.

Just be patient with us while we revamp our site, adding all of me all over that thing. =)

You will still be able to find me at all of my CONTACT spots. I will still have my own Youtube channel, where I will still post my own videos from time to time! And everything will still be the same, only different. ;-)

This is best for me, and I hope that you will be understanding enough about that. Leave me love, & come FOLLOW me =)

What's with this? & I said "similar". But color is different yes, pose is different yes, but the STYLE on the book. The fonts? LOL. I am not sure if this is cool or not but if they were side by side would you not think they were in a series (... just pretend you don't see the names lol)

I LOVE both covers, of course I do. The girl on Touching the Surface IS JENNY! I know authors use a lot of stock photos or whatnot. BUT, THAT'S JENNY. & THOSE ARE HER origami birds!!!

Ella couldn't take it anymore. The painful memories of her mother, the father that was killing his self one drink at a time, and the thought that it was all her fault. She wanted something new, so she left without saying goodbye to anyone. Leave it all behind. Leaving Micha.

But Ella must go back home. It's summer break so Ella and Lila (her room mate) travel to Ella's. The new Ella is ready to take it all on. She thinks she can handle it now, or so she hopes. But when she sees Micha again she's not so sure. Micha does not like the newly refined Ella. He missed his kick ass girl, and just wants her back. He will do whatever he has to do to bring out the locked up Ella that he loved.

I thought that this was a great heart wrenching story about 2 broken to pieces characters that just didn't know how to deal with the pain. For Ella the pain of her mother, and the fact that she feels everyone thinks it was her fault. The fact that Ella thinks it was as well. She has so much guilt and pain in her heart, and it completely broke mine. For Micha, all the things dealing with his father, and the fact that he loves whole heartily the girl with the broken soul. I love how Micha and Ella were when they were together. When they talked. It was like even though Ella was trying so hard to be this new girl, that Micha knew exactly what to do to bring her back. He knew how to make her feel alive. Even though Micha had things he was dealing with when it came to Ella to loved her. Truly, and he was always trying to do whatever he could to help her. He was the bad boy with a good heart. Ella was just scared. Scared to live that life, scared to love. She wanted so much to not end up like her mother that it kept her afraid to give in to really anything.

I thought the story played out beautifully. The characters were weak at times but strong in the end. When Ella comes to grips with her self, her life, and how she really feels about the boy next door it is amazing. I was glad to see her finally open up. Deal with the pain she felt and let it go.

The side characters in the story were great as well. I really liked Lila. She was truly the pretty girl who you would think would freak out at Ella's life, but she didn't she took everything in and in the end showed Ella that she could relate in some way to her pain. Although different, she had her own problems. Ethan was great as well, he was funny and I liked seeing him and Lila get closer on the side lines.

Overall this was a fast read that left me wanting more of Ella & Micha.

I am guilty. I have not even read the 1st one yet. I have started it, stopped. (Nothing to do with the book, but rather other distractions.. or life) But I think it's time to pick up ALICE IN ZOMBIELAND again and not put it down. The cover to book #2 is amazing, and I am excited and have not even started the series! Oh that's just ho w it goes for us "book lovers" huh!

Who wants to read this book with me? I was thinking closer to September though.

2.) Lisa Schroeder

Everything I have read from Lisa, has been breathtaking beautiful.

Her verse novels have a way of grabbing you and not letting you go. I have read mostly all of her books, and they have all touched my heart. Far From You was one that will always be the MOST special to me. For personal reasons!

3.) Gayle Forman

*sigh*What can I say about Gayle & her books!? That you should already know. If I Stay & Where She Went made me feel so much. Her writing is amazing, and I just cannot get enough.

4.) Lauren Oliver

The "QUEEN" of cliff hangers!

I don't care if Lauren wrote a magazine article, she would make you yearn for the next issue. With her books, she takes you on this adventure, and you think MAYBE it will go here.... "NO, it just CAN'T" and just when you think all is safe, she smacks you upside your head, and leaves you speechless!

5.) J. L. Bryan

Jeff wrote this series... I don't know if you have heard me talk about it or not:JENNY POX, well.. The series is THE PARANORMALS but Jenny is the 1st installment. That book touched my heart, and kicked ass so hard. I would be lying if I said I didn't want more. His other series THE SONG OF MAGIC, is so amazing as well, the detail, and everything put into each world is amazingly vivid.

6.) Katie McGarry

Katie's debut novel PUSHING THE LIMITS won her a WELL EARNED spot on my auto buy list. She is an awesome author, and can make you have the "feels" with her writing & characters! I cannot wait for MORE from her! Dare You To is set to release this year and I cannot wait.

7.) Tahereh Mafi

Are you surprised? Who would NOT have her on the AUTO BUY list.If you don't you have not been thrown around while reading SHATTER ME / DESTROY ME / UNRAVEL ME!!Oh her words. FREAKING AMAZING. There is nothing more to say other then WOW. & + Tahereh has shoe game out the ass... AS DO I baby!!

Matched. Broke. My. Heart.

But gave me such hope for the books & the characters! I was attached. Although I have NOT read the last book (I am scared) I hate when series I love so darn much end!! *sigh*

Ellen is an amazing writer. She writes powerful, tear jerking, REAL, beautiful books that sometimes are hard to read, yet you're unable to put them down.

"Heartbreaking & Breathtaking!"

If emotional and amazing is what you are looking for, look no further. Hopeless is one of those book where you get everything that is amazing all in one book. A main character with issues, a bad boy {sigh} that has them as well, a story line that will throw you on your ass, and an ending that will leave a smile on your face.
When I picked up this book I never thought I would be as invested as I was in these characters. I am left wanting more and nothing but that! More!
Sky has lived a sheltered life. Karen, her {adopted} mother does not want Sky watching TV, having a cell phone. Anything that can connect her to the outside world. Karen home school's Sky, always has. But this year is Sky's senior year, and all she wants to do is go to public school with her best friend Six. After some time working on her mom, Karen finally gives in. Sky & Six (her best friend) are ecstatic, that is until Six is not going to be around. She's going to be going studying as a foreign exchange student, where she can learn about Italian boys!
Since Sky sorta already has a reputation with the boys she fears this year will be hell without Six.
And hell it is. But Sky deals with the "mean girls". Sky can handle herself, and I loved that. At least she could handle herself until she meets bad boy Dean Holder. Holder has a sketchy reputation, and Sky does not know what to think of it.
There is something about Sky that Dean cannot get enough of. It's like he's drawn to her, and she can understand that. Usually when Sky is with a guy she is numb. Never going to far with any of them, but never feeling anything that would make her decide to anyways. But when Holder is around she feels things. Crazy things.
Everything between Sky & Holder was laugh out loud worthy. The way they spoke to each other, their chemistry and his "You looked bad today" texts had me all giggly, and gushy over the infamous Dean Holder.
This book is so much more then just being about Sky & Holder falling in love. There is more to it, and even their relationship then just that. There is something buried deep in Sky's brain that Holder is holding in, something that is breaking his heart, and healing him all at the same time. Sky will soon learn more about herself, things you could never imagine learning so many years later.
And all it took was one memory...

Oh holy mother of all things awesome Hoover has me hooked. Hoover created such amazing characters that had issues, yes. But the things they went through, dealt with, kept in and overcame was so amazing to see. There was love, but there was no [falling in love in 2.2 seconds. Insta-love]!! There was development with the characters as individuals, and also together. Holder is made of something of awesome, sprinkled with a bunch of amazing. He took on so much in this book, and when Sky was a broken mess, he helped glue her heart, and soul back together.

Do not pass this book up. I could never, ever write a review that does this book justice. Just know, that when you read this I hope you have a box of tissues on hand. You will need them! But do know that you will laugh, and smile frequently through this book as well. The best emotional roller-coaster I have ever been on. Hands down.

Everyone of the band members bring something to this book that give it that extra sexiness! I loved it and cannot wait to learn more about each and every one of these sexy, cocky, rock stars!

Myrna is not shy in any way when it comes to sex. Even though, in her brain she has thoughts that try to bring her down, scarred by her ex husband, but she does not let that mess up the big O. That's for sure. Myrna is just looking to have fun, no strings just fun. Her last relationship made her bitter towards "love", and she wants nothing to do with that.

I really liked Myrna. I thought that she was classy on the outside, with a dash of sassy! Yet when the doors were closed she was more free. She was such a great, strong, determined, yet reserved main character.

Brian knew what he wanted. Myrna. And he wanted every part of her.

Brian was in a funk, not being able to do what he loved to do, write songs. And when Myrna brought that out in him, helped him create amazing music in such an amazingly hot way, he was hooked. And he was not looking to let her go. Ever.

Every moment with these two is intense, and adventurous at the same time. Sexy as hell.

I will be continuing on with The Sinners series, and I cannot wait to see what each book gives.

The first book is a definite winner. You should pick it up, if you are old enough that is.

Whoever has not fallen in love with the way Mafi writes is ~~out of their mind~~ crazy. Every time that I have read one of her books I have been in a trance. With this little novella, it was no different. I was hitting the next page button on the kindle, and when it would turn no more... I about had a conniption. I need more!

Warner, oh dear.

Oh how I am consumed with confusion. CONFUSION with the way I feel about Warner in Destroy Me.

Of course this novella is about him, so you get a more in depth look inside his mind, understand more about what he is doing and why he is doing it. & then there is this moment, that you think...

"Is he all that bad" ?

When I thought that I opened this door of understanding, and dang on it Mafi. WHY?

“Because I want her.Now.Here.
Everywhere.I want nothing between us.I want her clothes off and the lights on and I want to study her. I want to unzip her out of this dress and take my time with every inch of her.”

Shatter Me consumed me, and I was all wrapped in Juliette & Adam. Until Destroy me came along.

I hate when you are thrown for a loop like that. I hate it so much, I love it.

*sigh*

If you want to be driven crazy, read this book. Because you will be.

I was so wrapped up into the words, world & characters. I am hooked, and want more.
