Declutter.

The new year has come and I really want to start this year - "clean." I tried fixing and decluttering this blog but every time I open it, I feel like there's something pulling me back.

All of the posts here are essential as they are pieces of the person who I am right now and maybe that's why. But, leaving it as it is - does not really jive with what I want to pursue in blogging. (naks! haha) So, I'm really halfhearted to say that this will be my last post on this blog. But, I am happy and excited for what is to come as I am currently putting up a new blog!

To everyone who supported me and read my blogs since 2010, thank you so much. I am hoping to see you still on my next journey!!

Guimaras 2017

Post-celebration of my birthday.

And this is the first time that I celebrated my day outside Manila (since I do live now outside the Metro lolz)

I've never been to Guimaras but I heard that the place is good.

Traveling there is very cheap especially when you live in the vicinity of Iloilo since it's just a 10-minute boat ride. In our case, we are coming from Capiz which is 3 to 4 hours away from Iloilo.

When we arrive in Iloilo, we left our car since we have to travel by speedboat to reach Guimaras. From SM, we took a cab that averagely costs around 70php to 100php.

This is the first thing you'll see when you reach Guimaras. Yep, quite creepy for some but personally, I am more amazed - since I love seeing stuff like this.

Apparently, we have no idea where to go. It's basically a "tara-tignan-lang-naten" type of trip. Haha. So, we ended up riding a tricycle wherein we let the driver take us to places.

The driver took us to Nueva Valencia, particularly in Raymen Beach Resort, a 1- hour travel from the port. Well, the resort looked neat but not really my type if I were to have my chillaxing mode. Y'know.

And since we only visited for future references, we hopped from one island to another coming from the said resort.

We were able to go to different islands.

(Sobrang effort ko lumuhod kahit sobrang sakit nung bato! Haha)

After the whole shenanigans, we decided to try the famous Mango Pizza from Pitstop. As you all know, Guimaras is well-known for its mangoes. Sobrang ganda nang mga views actually dahil sa mga malalaking puno ng mangga!!

Anyways, so we tried this Mango Pizza and got disappointed. The taste is so ordinary as well as the appearance. I mean good points for the uniqueness and the creativity of incorporating mangoes but other than that, nothing special about it. Sorry, you guys.

I guess this sums up my half-day travel in Guimaras. And I know there is so much more to look forward to on the island. Everyone must try to travel and experience the place. As for me, I enjoyed more the tricycle. Lolz.

There's nothing much to say about my birthday except that I enjoyed the overall celebration. I started the month by cutting my hair so short, for a change! Hahaha sorry, hindi ako mapakali talaga sa buhok ko.

From hip length, my hair was "trimmed" dramatically.

I was so excited that day since I've been planning the haircut that I want for months. Although I'm quite undecided at first, I pushed myself to go for another drastic change this year. Well, this year is full of changes, (if you've read my previous post, you'll know what I mean!) lelz.

When I told my new stylist what to do with my hair, she was so surprised and even asked me twice or thrice if I am really sure to give up all the hair! So eto si ako, without hesitation, go lang sis! Haha.

I got so uncomfortable seeing my hair on the floor but I thought, too late. So, I let her do her job while I made myself busy reading stuff in my seat. After a while, she told me it's done. Upon looking at the mirror, I was like "OMG OMG OMG"; my expressions were full of mixed emotions because this is not what I was expecting.

I tried to keep my cool but deep inside I was so worried and quite disappointed.

Nevertheless, this is my new look and it will take time for me to grow my hair again that long, so I need to accept my fate and move on. Hahaha.

Why, hello there!
Taenang bati yan haha. Anyways, I've been busy for the past 6+ months and guess what - a lot of things have changed!

Well, the last time I posted something in here (I think) was November. I always try to come up with some stuff in here, however, due to the lack of time and most probably effort - all of these so-called "supposed-to-be-posts" are stuck in my drafts.

Anyhow, December
My annual shenanigans with friends every December pushed through again that year. Yey for Baguio! Although we were incomplete, all three of us enjoyed our whole stay.

Now, as 2017 enters
Dundundun - everything was a bliss, I guess. I moved out and left Manila. At the same time, I quit my long time job in the construction business.

Yup, the whole picture is quite an epitome of a new-year-new-me status. Lelz. As expected, I was so happy and excited yet I find the whole scenario scary and frightening as well. Hello! In the 23 years of existence, this is the first time I'll be leaving the house and live my life far from Manila.

Upon moving out, of course, there are challenges and struggles I had to face. Nevertheless, I found my real and deep peace far from Manila (don't get me wrong, I love Manila kahit toxic siya)

Although quite frankly I have lived my life independently coz we were raised like that, living far from everyone makes me sad at times. (Wala kasi akong social life dito. Charot hahaha)

Well, my sister lives in Laos. My brother lives in Makati. My mom lives in Manila. My dad is in Pasig. So, get the picture, we were (and still are) all on our own.

The first three months of the year is quite tough but enjoyable for me. The Visayan culture is fun, simple, and exhilarating BUT I had a real hard time communicating with the people. You see - I quite possess the usual chinita appearance, so it's not hard to tell everyone here that I am not from anywhere near here. Besides, where I am right now is a place where all you could see around are fish ponds and rice mills.

Yep - the typical "probinsya life"; the place where you still have to travel for 30 minutes to an hour just to get to the city. The place where malls and known establishments are far from here. The place where poso is largely present for water usage. (May tubig naman but I like doing poso haha). The place where people are already asleep by 6 or 7pm and well-alive to function by 3 or 4am. Hence, big changes for me.

But I managed! Like, hello. I've never been this blissful and peaceful. I know I learned a lot and still learning the truths about life (another post and time I guess?)

By April

I went back to Manila to surprise my hot momma for her birthday. My siblings went home to surprise her too. We organized a surprise party for her.

Well, I was happy being together again with my family and friends. I enjoyed the company of everyone especially my sister. We traveled a lot from there. After 2 weeks, we went back already to our lives and things got even more exciting and overwhelming for me.

Month of May comes

I invested a little (but undoubtedly significant) amount of money for a business. We opened a restaurant.

The restaurant is just a door away from my pad. (Yup, moved to a new home as the construction for the resto was finished) So, imagine me waking up, opening the doorway to the restaurant. Ang sarap diba. Hahaha.

Basically, this is what my life looks as of the moment. I hope to be much more active here as long as stable yung connection. (I remembered, this is the only thing I hate here - internet connection. Not because I cannot enjoy social media but because my current work which involves a lot of researching and reading uggghh)

Few months / years ago, I had this thought when I was about to wear my white shoes. Typical morning based on what I remember ha. It just popped into my head last night again, well I didn't write or blog about it because I can't put it into words that time. Until now actually, I'll just try my best to write it so I could let it out already and to pass time. (Although I've shared this to people that are so close to me before lelz)

Going back to that morning na nagsasapatos ako. Naisip ko, yung mga tao way way way back to our ancestors, for sure they've already thought of shoes or something-alike to protect their feet from everything. Evidently, they've used cloths, leaves, or anything, right? So, meaning the thought of protecting feet from harm and dirt has already existed long before the actual shoes of today were produced. In reality, shoes existed long ago.

In parallelism, I thought that we are all living from the past (wow shocks ano daw? Haha) like everything that you see today is just an outcome of an idea existed long before. Still with me? Haha Na-a-amaze lang ako that the 'reality' we have today is an idea of yesterday.

Summing it all up, this goes to show that we create our own realities. Reality of others does not to be your reality as well. It's all how you handle your mind and everything that occurs to your surrounding is just a manifestation of your thoughts. I have a lot to say when it comes to illusion, realities, and thoughts. But I guess I'm leaving it all for the mean time to Albert Einstein:

Trippy Halloween

Weekend nights are well-reserved for friends and night-outs - well for me and for my friends though. Lelz. My ever so loving chums decided to celebrate a different kind of pre-halloween night, they made their ways straight to my house and did some halloween make-up at wee hours. They actually arrived 12 midnight and surprisingly, just the two of them.

I was expecting a creepy-like or a monstrous-like make up but they insisted it should be dark and a bit girly, and I was like, "tangina pano yon? hahaha ineexpect ko mga scary as in scary!"

We managed to finish it all out at around 2:30 am and I insisted that we should put a little creepier than what they were wearing at the time, thus decided to have a quick coffee out at NLEX.

both of them were shocked "gago Stacy, iba na yan." So I laughed evilly haha. E halloween guys e. Bakit pacute?

Apparently, everyone seemed to notice and eyed on the three of us - we cannot blame them, it's a bit weird diba. And, it's already 3 in the morning, it's like we just got out of a boring halloween party or something

We enjoyed our usual talks over coffee, still.

Super random night over the north. Around 5 or 6 in the morning, we looked for something nice to eat for breakfast. We were really starving! Afterwards, we just went to our homes respectively and slept!

I just felt the need of writing again. Sobrang daming pumapasok na ideas na gusto ko i-share. From time to time, well I still write but not here anymore since I reverted to using the "Keep" app from my phone (I just hope soon enough that Android and/or Apple would release their very own Blogger App) since mostly of my thoughts lately are a bit personal and emotional at the same time. So if I were the reader, I wouldn't read them lelz. Anyhow and anyway, writing again a post in a freestyle like right now is somewhat exhilarating and calming.

For the night, I'll spend it fixing my drafts way way before 2014 (I guess) as well as the output of my blog. Yayy.

Ironically, hindi talaga happy ang simula ng araw ko sa work. Meeting agad with heads, again stressful. Well, I love my job. I love what i'm doing. I am so great with what I do. Haha kapal ng muka ko diba pero feeling ko at cnclaim ko, magaling ako sa ginagawa ko. Although toxic at times, atleast, what I always say, hindi napupunta sa wala yung pag gamit ko ng brain cells at neurons ko.

So, going back, stressful meeting. Nakauwi na galing JP sila Big Boss, gets, they need to catch up with the recent activities lalo na nung wala sila. E medj disappointing kasi sa true naman talaga, ako personally nagchill chill ako nung wala siya. So may mali din naman ako. Pero as usual, the scenario every may tension kasi, laging may turuan kasi ayaw mapagalitan and all. I dunno why pero laging sakin natuturo kasi and then once na ituro ko (dahil out of the equation naman talaga ako) feeling ko sobrang improper dahil, ano, turuan nalang? Edi mas lalo uminit ulo diba. So tanggap nalang. Well, recently kasi, di ko na masyado dinidibdib haha. Ako pa, lalo na nong medj starters, well para sa lahat naman ata ganon, pag napagalitan and all, didibdibin, magiging emotional and stuff. But recently, for me wala, as if parang, "okay edi mali ko, sabi nyo e." Yun ganyang attitude nalang kasi you can't do something about it unless bumawi ka nalang in the end, para less hassle for both parties.

Kaso, today's meeting was really intense, not so intense like the previous ones that made me cry or teary-eyed alike haha. Pero guys, nasabon ako ng very light haha. Pinaka tumatak sakin na sinabi was "Hindi na siguro ako effective na boss mo, no?" parang ako, what? Ano daw? Bakit ganon haha. At first di ko alam kung paano siya i-ttake kasi parang bakit nandoon na sa point na yon? I dunno pero okay edi tanggap uli. Well, nakakaburat siya actually, referring to others na sobrang hilig magturo, pero kesa naman magpakalugmok ako, duh, ali-GG na sir. There are so much things in and on my plate as of the moment to pause and feel pa the negativities and disappointments.

Natawa nga ako deep inside kasi nagpop bigla sakin na "Yung sa sobrang busy mo, wala ka ng time malungkot." Hahaha pero naisip ko din ngayon, tangina may time ka nga magblog ngayon e hahaha. Which is true. Well, kelangan ko lang ma-share to haha. At yosi lang, sapat nuuh - move on!

Despite and inspite, ang alat lang pero okay ako. Happy padin! :)

Lunch time. Hindi ako gutom dahil late na din ako nakapasok at kumain na ko sa bahay. So, the usual, work padin pero ang mindset ko lagi pag lunch / break, personal time ko yan kaya tigil ko mga ginagawa kong work-related haha. Habang nagyoyosi, napansin ko ang ganda nang lighting sa pwesto ko, so inopen ko si Snapchat, click, "Ay ang ganda!" So, pasok uli ako, kinuha ko yung selfie stick (Oo, lagi akong may dala, sorry haha)

I've come to realize things that I learned upon reaching my 23rd year of existence (omg 23 na ko) must-keep-in-mind thoughts:

1 Always look beyond imperfections. It's always how you perceive things. The beauty of each day, each person, and every little thing depends on how you see it.

2 Appreciate. Say thank you ALL THE TIME. Even in difficulties, in fear, in doubt or additional loads of work or even in arguments, say thank you (no sarcasm intended) because everything is an opportunity to learn and inherit something.

3 Say Sorry. If there is a need, why not? It won't make you less of a person in accepting mistakes or in simply humbling yourself down.

4 Empathize. Always put yourself in another's shoe. Always try to imagine meeting yourself in someone else's form. You'll surely be more understanding. Be gentle to everyone and most especially to your own lovely self.

5 There will always be pain. And it's okay to be sad; Boys and girls don't cry - men and women does.

6 Genuine happy moments are never meant to be shared on social media. There's nothing wrong in sharing them but our lives must stop revolving on gadgets alone. There is more to life if you experience it naturally.

7 There is a definite fine line between successful life and meaningful life.

8 Books, arts, and conversations are internal nourishments.

9 Life will always be unfair - if you compare. Each and everyone has its own 'mercies in disguises'; Similar to what I posted before: "you are, as always, blessed in every possible way you could think of, just blinded by social media's hashtags of being 'blessed' "

10 Understand that each and everyone has their own limits and ways of overcoming things. Never teach or tell them how should they react or how should they feel.

11 Accept that others will always have something to say about you. You did not exist to satisfy other's liking of you. You will never be truly happy if you are always to please them.

12 Never punish yourself with others' mistakes by being angry.

13 Lastly, do all your actions for the love of Him and glorification of His Name (very Lasallian!)

I know these are simple and cliche things but really, these are tough things to apply in reality, well personally I think.

Mindoro Diaries: 1

Alas, "huling hirit sa tag-init" - no doubt about the intense heat we are all experiencing the past few months, so a little beach is fine but what I am really after is the "quick" break from work and stress.

We traveled to Batangas port leaving Manila at 10 in the morning. (Well fyi, roads are one of my favorite parts) And yup, just before reaching the port, I've already enjoyed myself inside the van - not to mention the stop-overs for food and alike.

Upon arriving at the port, we just waited 30 minutes or less before riding the almost-2hr-"speed"-boat; that's why network is a must-do of work while you are young, ~~connections~~ baby. Don't get me wrong though. Lelz.

The 2-hour sea travel made me dizzy so much because of the heat and the huge waves. By the time we arrived at the White Beach of Puerto Galera, all I wanted to do was rest and check all my emails and messages from work since I left so much of it back from Manila. Hah. Plus! To watch the Episode 06 of Game of Thrones Season 06, my gahd. We've been downloading and streaming it since the morning we left but we were able to watch it by the time we reached our rooms. So all the time we had since we reached the house we were staying 'til the night of that day, we just rested.

Around 9 PM, we went out for a stroll at the beach to check as well the life of the locals and tourists during the night time. I personally enjoyed some of the bars that first night, though it's not my first time at Puerto Galera, I just can't recall what they do here on a daily basis.

From what I saw and experience that night, locals residing at this area tend to produce and labor for money by performing. Lots of them are performers, actually there were many of them! From impersonating, to singing, dancing, even pole dancing and poi dancing, to different sectors of entertainment.

You know what's surprising? While performers in front of the stage entertain their own crowds, you would notice kids beside or at the back of the stage mimicking the actions and deeds of the performers. And upon watching them, you could see in their faces how they wanted to be one of them someday to perform as well in front of many unknown faces. Nakakatuwa. Sobrang rampant yung image of innocence sa mga mukha nila. :)

These locals really captured my heart! By simply watching and looking at them and at their way of living for just one night. It really strikes me deep within.

This night really took a place in my heart. ❤♡

A few moments ago, I am almost halfway done with what I am writing and just like 'that', everything went blank - all I can do with my fingers is to actually press backspace and delete every word I typed in.

Every single detail of what I am supposed to share is actually gone so as to the hope the started to burn deep down to my inner core. I don't know why and I don't know what to feel either. Sometimes, you just end up realizing things the other way around. And most of the times, you just end up wishing not realizing anything, anymore.

It sucks and it fucks.

Hello There!

Apparently, weekend has come and I've no plans at all for this weekend except for that Saturday Diecast Swapmeet happened at Megamall. Well, it was tiring yet fulfilling because I get to bond with my Mom and Lola. I wasn't able to take photos that time for I was busy chitchatting with them. Though, I want to share with you what Diecast Swapmeets are. (Well, will get to that post soon enough!)

What really strikes my fingers to type and share is that the Sunday night I had which all I did was to try the Palm Detection of my Samsung phone. Lelz. You know, I'm having too when I'm alone haha.

I had fun taking all these photos using my palm. I dunno but it's actually my legitimate first time to try it even though I had my phone with me for few months now but yea, I had fun haha.

Naalala ko pa ang una nating pagkikita sa sulok kung saan tayo'y naging malaya. Mag-aanim na taon na ang nakaraan noong unang nasilayan ang malalamlam mong mata, ang tingin mong punong puno ng kahiwagaan, ang labi mong miminsanan lang ang galawan. Lagi tayong nag -aabot sa mumunting paraisong tinalaga nating atin lamang. Anim na taon ngunit hindi pa umabot sa limang talata ang mga pag-uusap natin. Nagkasundo tayo sa isang tinging madiin at isang hingang malalim. Ang taguan kung saan tayo umidlip sa katotohanan ay natagpuan natin.

Nalunod ako sa ideya mo. Nahimbing ako sa pagkakaidlip ko sayo, binaligtad mo ang mundo ko, ngunit nilisan mo din ako.

Ilang ulit akong nagbalik sa munting paraiso natin - isang hakbang pakaliwa, sa ibaba kung saan tagos ang liwanag, ngunit di ka na nagbalik muli. Paulit ulit akong umasa sayong pagdating at pagupo ngunit kahit anino mo, hindi naaninagan. Glimico, nasaan ka?

Lutang, lugmok, bugnot, di malaman anong ikot ng gulong. Dilim, ulan, kulog, di malaman anong dilubyo. Huni, bulong, sigaw, di malaman anong klaseng tunog. Bumagsak ako.

Britain's Finest in Manila 2015

I am not a die-hard Beatles' fan but because of my dear Hajj together with his siblings and all, though I know (only) some of their songs - I got acquainted with their 'real' songs, even the non-mainstream tracks. I am familiar with the band's backgrounds and stuff because of my brother and cousins whom are fans as well, well fair enough to know that there are tribute bands existing.

Last October 13, Hajj's sister - Dete, tagged him in a link/photo on Facebook about the The Beatles' Tribute Band's overseas gig here in the Philippines.

I didn't take time to look at it, all I know is that they were all excited to attend. It was free actually! (Well, after week, I came to know that they held two 'announced' and well-marketed concerts prior to the 'free' gig that [they] were all excited to attend to) The free gig was held at Circulo Verde, past Eastwood City, Quezon City. I was indeed a bit of excited actually since it was somewhat my first time to encounter such.

Tententen, I present you - Britain's Finest!

See, they loike me sooo much. Hah. Lelz.

We were a 'bit' late than the time it was supposed to start - 8:00 PM. We arrived at around 10:00 PM, and surprisingly, it just began few minutes before we arrived. The venue was huge and was filled with lots of stand-alone stores selling beers, snacks, etc.

The lights were fun, right? I know!

They had three amazing sets. And since the venue was too huge and accounted for free-seating, we stayed at the very front-rightish of the stage. We get to see them upfront and close up from the stage. Cuties!

The gig lasted for 2-3 hours (I think) and played tracks that are so nice to my ears! According to Hajj, they were just one of the many tribute bands present parallelism to The Beatles. And yup, they wore wigs and costumes, facial add-ups - really they look like The Beatles!

I had a lot of fun really, but I know they had fun more than I did since they are all die-hard fans!

And ofcourse, I won't forget! The only selfie that started it all! Since we were right at the side front of the stage, we were really eager to take a selfie right in front of the stage. I asked them to stay right in front where we can take a clear shot. And everyone seem to follow our lead since we weren't that ashamed to do it! Hah.

We had a lot of front selfies with them but since we were filled to the brim with adrenaline, we weren't able to capture 'real' crystal clear shot and this one's the best yet. Haha.

Me being so kilig because 'Paul Mccartney' whom which in real life I find more attractive than Lennon, lolz was (being) so clingy. Haaaa. Euphoria it was with the gang!

Well, til the next time you guys visit again the Philippines!:)
