Congratulations to First Annual Kicking it for Kids Tournament Winner

We want to send a HUGE THANK YOU to all of our teams who participated in the First Annual Kicking it for Kids Corporate Kickball Tournament! It was such a fun event and we’re already thinking of ways to make next year’s tournament bigger and better! So make sure to sign up again next year!

We also want to CONGRATULATE Coca Cola Team-Leon for being The first Annual Kicking it for Kids Champions! It was an exciting last game against Dominion!

Below is a link that you can all visit to look at pictures that were taken at the tournament. Robin Helms was nice enough to volunteer her time and added a bunch of photographs to her website that you can purchase at an additional cost. The pictures are locked with a password. The password is: kickball. Some of the proceeds will be benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs. Of course we will be sending the Championship team a plaque with their team picture on it so you can hang it in your office or wherever you please.

BGC Connect members help clean up Akron with Eller Club kids

Aundrey and Todd work with the BGC kids from the Eller Club to help clean up Akron. And clean up Akron we did! The kids had fun and really got into the event. Some even made a game out of the event. Who could grab the most trash! Check out photos from the event.

Boys & Girls Club - OPEN HOUSE

May Open House which will be from 4pm-5pm on May 18

Here's your chance to come see the Club in action, meet the kids that you are helping and get more in depth information about what happens here at the Clubs. We know there are some of you that have not yet had that chance, so whether you have seen the Club before but would like to stop by and catch up with the kids, or if you have never been here and are interested in getting a feel for what happens daily, we invite you to attend our May Open House which will be from 4pm-5pm on May 18. The Open House will include light snacks, a tour of the building, time to discuss any questions about our programs and the chance to meet some of our Club kids!

If you are able to attend please RSVP by emailing kristi@wrkids.org or if you are not able to make it to this Open House but would like to be invited to future events please also respond to the mentioned email.
