the first 7200 rpm hard drive, the first hard drive with the Fibre
Channel interface, the first 15,000 rpm hard drive; and the list goes on
and on. Along with the amount of innovation they’ve brought to the
table, they’ve also had some of the highest quality drives as well –
consistently ranking higher than comparative drives, and constantly
winning various awards from different sources. One feature of this GoFlex drive, is that
straight out of the box it can be used on either a PC or a Mac. No
messing around with different drivers and what not – it’s truly plug and
play on both systems.

The
4TB GoFlex is USB 3.0, which means the transfer rates are wonderfully
fast – however there are a number of adapters out there that will allow
you to hook it up to FireWire, eSATA, or even USB 2.0. The
included USB 3.0 adapter is pretty cool, as it has four white LEDs on it
– each light represents 25% of the storage space on the drive, so you
instantly have a rough idea of how much you’ve used. Memo Backup is pre-installed on the
drive in order for you to backup your system. Honestly, Memo is pretty
much junk – there’s a LOT of better options out there. Memo Backup lets
you do basic things for free, but then wants to charge you for any
advanced features. In any case, no matter if you use backup software or
not, the drive really is quite zippy. When testing it’s write speed,
it ran at an average of 88 MBps, and it’s reading speed is a nice 100
MBps.

of cameras, but removes the front facing LCD and replaces it with a
3-inch wide flip-out touchscreen display that can be literally be
flipped up and shown to those looking into the camera’s lens. There's a 26-130mm, f.3.3-5.9 5x optical zoom lens, a super-thin
built-in flash, and one of those little orange light things that's
supposed to help the camera focus in low-light. A 16
megapixel sensor ensures high res photos and HD video capture, all of
which is complemented by a 5x optical zoom and dual image stabilization.

within a pic, a Magic Frame feature that includes 12 background
templates, a Smart Filter that lets you add 14 artistic effects,
including the newly added Water Paint for a stylish watercolor finish or
the Cartoon capability. There's also a power button, shutter release, and zoom slider up top. The display is a capacitive touchscreen. A photo manipulation tool called Funny Face is
also part of this point and shoot’s arsenal, allowing you to bend,
stretch and manipulate portraits just by tapping or dragging the image
with your fingertip. There is one more feature: you can tap and hold a top-level
menu icon and drag it around, reordering main menu options to your
liking.
16 megapixels, a 15x optical zoom, an electronic viewfinder, and a lot of
manual controls to go along with the usual point and shoot features. It has 2.7
inch LCD. Most bridge cameras fall into the category of “super zoom”
though, so that’s a fairly average zoom length. This camera uses four AA
batteries instead of a rechargeable battery. The panorama mode works really
great. The lens works great for zooms, wide angles, and even macro images.

Sony Bloggie camera brings up 3D photography at the user level, so that normal user will now not have to purchase expensive high end 3D cameras and still enjoy decent quality 3D imaging. It is capable of recording 3D videos and 3D image capture. It can shoot 3D videos at full HD 1080p and take 3D still shots at 5 megapixels.
It also takes images even in low light density with its Exmor- CMOS sensor and can capture photos while you’re shooting a video at the same time. It also has a 2.4-inch glasses-free 3D screen so you can preview your clicked shots or videos instantly. It has internal storage of 8GB, allowing you to record up to 4 hours of video. HDMI output allows you to share the captured videos and images on your big screen

In creating the Optimus Pad, LG said it wanted a device that provided maximum playability and minimum portability. The company took a swipe at the Apple iPad, saying its 9.7-inch frame was too bulky, and the Samsung Galaxy Tab, which LG said was a bit too small.
LG said it conducted research and found that 8.9 inches is apparently just right. It is small enough that the user can use it with one hand, but large enough to enable an easy typing experience, the company said.

The Optimus Pad includes a full HD camera in the back to allow for a 1080p experience. The tablet has two 5-megapixel cameras in the rear to allow for 3D video capture. It also has support for HDMI, which allows users to connect the Optimus Tab to other devices, like 3D TVs so users can watch the 3D video they recorded.

Sony Ericsson Anzu Known as Xperia X12

Well, multi-touch input has been promised by Q1 2011 by Sony Ericsson, it’s obvious the company is now going to be putting most of its hopes into its latest Xperia phone, the Xperia X12, thought to be the phone codenamed Anzu. While current images of the Sony Ericsson Anzu device show Android 2.1 onscreen, the latest news is the phone will come with Gingerbread Android 2.3 out of the box when it releases in Q1 2011.

What is also possible is that Sony Ericsson will release the Anzu / X12 with Froyo Android 2.2 out of the box, and offer a Gingerbread Android 2.3 update over the air at a later date. In case you were wondering, the Anzu’s screen is supposedly a 4.3-inch AMOLED LCD that supports 16M colours. The X12 is reputedly a very slim device between 8.7mm and 10.9mm thick , and will feature 720p HD video recording with its rumoured 12MP camera (with Exmor R sensor), HDMI-out, and multi-touch support.

Smallest and lightest digital cameras

Sony has recently launched the new model -the alpha NEX-5 and alpha NEX-3. The authorised dealer for Sony in Nepal, Nepa Hima Trade Link has brought the new models that feature the world's smallest and lightest interchangeable lens digital camera body.
In terms of specifications, both cameras are essentially identical -the NEX-5 gets a slightly smaller magnesium alloy body, an infrared remote receiver and 1080i AVCHD movie recording, but in every other respect, they are the same. The thing that is immediately apparent about both NEX cameras is how small they are. There is very little to the NEX-5's body beyond the handgrip and the flip-out screen but, despite its small size, it is easy to hold and encourages a stable twohanded grip. One of the only distinctions between the NEX-5 and its less expensive sibling, the NEX-3, is its magnesium alloy construction, which gives a really solid feel. The metalbodied lenses further enhance this sense of quality.

Sony Ericsson released 16.4MP cameraphone, Cyber-shot S006

Sony Ericsson has released a Cyber-shot phone with a 16.4MP CMOS sensor on the popular Japanese carrier KDDI. Called the Cyber-shot S006, the latest Sony Ericsson phone is definitely attempting to wrest the crown from Nokia N8 – the reigning cameraphone. In the world of digital cameras, it is a long accepted fact that megapixels don’t always mean everything in image quality. The N8’s extra large sensor pixels do help, as well as the 28mm wide angle lens.

The Sony Ericsson Cyber-shot S006 has an ISO sensitivity of 12800, a 3.3-inch capacitive touchscreen, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, FM radio, and inbuilt-GPS. The S006 would be sporting SE’s proprietary OS.

3TB internal hard drives from Seagate and Western Digital to release soon

It looks like some of the higher capacity hard drives we’ve been hearing about are going to make their way into the market soon, and Seagate and Western Digital seem to the first to get out internal 3TB hard drives.
Seagate Barracuda XT - 3TB:

7,200RPM

64MB memory buffer

8.5ms AAT

32dB(A) Specified Noise

Western Digital Caviar Green:

5,400RPM

3Gbps SATA interface

64MB memory buffer

The cost of this system is $2,499 and it is lower than what other manufacturers are asking for such components. The gaming performance is nothing out-of-the-box but still very competitive. There are not a lot of games out there that the Maingear F131 will struggle with. There are a few that might challenge the machine but you can always tone down the settings for a good looking and smooth gaming experience. Because of the Intel X58 motherboard and the 3 PCI Express graphics card slots, you can put in another gaming card for getting more gaming eye candy.

There are a few surprises for connectivity as well. You get all standard ports like S/PDIF and analog audio, USB 2.0 and FireWire ports on the back and front of the cabinet. The Asus motherboard gives you two eSATA jacks, out of which one is powered and there is also a pair of USB 3.0 ports. A lot of PC vendors out there are less enthusiastic about USB 3.0 ports because there is not a lot of compatible hardware in the market yet but Maingear has been promoting the new technology very aggressively. This gives you 4 different types of ports for external data inputs. This is really impressive for the given price of the desktop.

Maingear F131 come with one year warranty for the hardware and lifetime warranty for phone coverage and labor. There is also discretionalry third party onsite service and two way free shipping for the first thirty days.

Firefox 4 beta now available for Android and Maemo

Firefox for mobiles was called Firefox Mobile and was Mozilla was working on version 2. However recently Mozilla decided to synchronize their desktop and mobile offerings with the same name and version number, since they are based on the same technology. Now Mozilla has made the first beta version of this upcoming browser available.
Firefox 4 for mobile will feature Firefox Sync in built. While Firefox 4 for mobile will support extension just as before, the Sync feature is now baked in instead of being separately available as an addon. If you also use Firefox on the desktop, and have tons of bookmarks, and saved passwords this will come in very handy as those will automatically sync with your mobile. Not only that Firefox Sync also synchronizes open tabs, so as you leave your computer and go out with your mobile, you will be able to open the same tabs on your mobile. This feature is made even more useful with the new AwesomeScreen, a screen visible when you tap on the AwesomeBar in the browser. This is similar to what Opera offers with its Link service.

Fierfox 4 also comes with multi-touch goodness, with support for gestures such as pinch-to-zoom. Firefox 4 beta for mobile also includes some architecture changes for the mobile browser. It now works even more closely to the desktop version. A new feature called electrolysis is now available which makes for a much more responsive browser by running the browser chrome and the content in different threads. Layers, another new feature in Firefox 4, will improve the graphics performance of the browser. Firefox 4 beta for mobile certainly sounds amazing, however apparently it is currently too slow to be a usable browser. The browser is very much in its beta stage right now, so performance should get better with time.

Two Cirago Bluetooth 3.0 USB Micro Adapters

USB Micro Bluetooth 3.0 Adapter BTA6310 Features:
Conclusion:
The Cirago Bluetooth 3.0 adapters aren’t bad at all, they’re small and very portable. They’re so small in fact that you could just leave them plugged in and never really notice them. The speeds aren’t quite as fast as I expected, but they’re easy to install and very easy to use.

Enjoy Clear Sound Under Water

H2O audio, the pioneer in waterproof audio equipments, just released their newest headphone that is completely waterproof and built upon latest audio technology. Some features of H3 headphones include third generation speaker technology that offers improved sound above water; detachable ear buds (sport band detaches to provide everyday ear bud use); aquatic silencer earplugs for improved comfort, noise reduction, and the ability to seal water out of the ear for longer durations; and reactive coiled cable that moves with you during active use and eliminates tangles.

Global handset vendors and PC makers including Nokia, LG Electronics and Hewlett-Packard Co are moving into the new category of devices, between traditional PCs and smartphones, taking a cue from Apple.

The Galaxy Tab, with a seveninch screen, will go on sale in Eu ropean markets in mid-September. The device, which uses Google’s Android software, offers access to books, films and music.

“Samsung is betting big on the tablet category with this device,” said Ben Wood, research director at CCS Insight, adding the success of Galaxy Tab with a 9.7 inch screen, which is clearly smaller than iPad, will depend on pricing.

Samsung’s portfolio management director Thomas Richter said prices would depend on operator packages in different countries, but the device would cost more than high-end smartphones. In Finland, the suggested retail price for Galaxy Tab, without subsidies, would be 949 Euros (USD 1,214), well above the iPad’s price. Apple’s 32 GB iPad sells for 864 Euros on average in Finland.

Dino Strike

LG Cookie Fresh GS290

The Cookie Fresh keeps the slim, matte black finish (it's also available with pink, blue or white colour. With the least amount of expertise and a keen sense for learning, BIOS can be play around with. But, it's safer to know the consequences and how to revert from alterrations before taking the plunge.
Windows Environment
The simplest way to upgrade is the Windows tool. It's specifically developed for motherboards. Most of the manufactures offer it with the motherboard CD.

BIOS Environment
Many motherboards such as the ones by ASUS have the menu option in BIOS that run the update within the BIOS. Just download the update, store it on media like the hard drive or a CD. Enter the correct path to the file and run it.
Through storage media
This is the most traditional way of updating the BIOS. Simply prepare a DOS bootable disk, save the update program and the BIOS update provided by the manufacturer and boot into DOS. At the command prompt, copy the files on to the hard drive and use the update program to run the BIOS update.

How to Install Windows 7 from a USB Thumb Drive

Installing Windows 7 directly from a USB thumb drive can be done in a couple of easy steps, thanks to Microsoft’s very own Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool.

Some of the netbooks are sold without any form of DVD drive. What if your pre-installed Windows 7 installation is messed up? What if your netbook came with Windows XP and you want to upgrade? Now, you can setup Windows 7 from a USB Drive!

Power users regularly install operating systems on more than one machine. Installing from a USB Drive is much faster than from an old DVD drive.

USB drive is more smaller to practical than a DVD, to carry around.

Run the Windows 7 setup!

From now on, ! Plug in the USB thumb drive, and get your PC, laptop or netbook to boot directly from the USB port. For that, you need to open up the boot menu.

The Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool is back!

Microsoft released the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool in October 2009. Microsoft immediately pulled the tool and re-released it under GPLv2 on December 9, 2009. found out—while poking around the source code—that the company.

Nedding tools to install Windows 7 from a USB

You will need a machine that supports booting up from a USB thumb drive. This is a feature that all netbooks and most notebooks and desktop PCs have.

You will need a USB thumb drive with at least 4 GB of free space. Make sure that it is empty and that all of your files have been moved to a safe location.

Install Windows 7 from a USB thumb drive

Make an ISO file of your Windows 7 DVD. Follow these steps to create a bootable Windows 7 install from a USB thumb drive:

Download and install the Windows 7 USB/DVD tool

Follow these Steps and Install Windows 7

Have a look at the some of the tips which will help you extend the life span of your CDs, DVDs and so on.
