Hi friends,

So if you are owner of a blog and have interest in programming,then this post is for you. I was facing issues on this blog while adding code to my post as those are looking like just a simple text and not at all eye catching like below:

So I was searching for a solution so that my code snippet look pretty like we see it on our IDE or editor like visual studio code.

So the solution I found is below:

Python Tutorial : Get the length of the string in Python

Hi folks,

As I have started learning Python, I thought why not to share the knowledge with you too?
So I first encountered the problem when I started working with strings.
I was trying to find a way to get the length of a string I am passing into a function,

So I have written a function as:


def getLengthOfString(value):

    stringValue =  str(value)
    stringLength = len(value)
    print(stringLength)


getLengthOfString("Hello, Please print the length of this string")

And here is the output which comes in my screen :

Explanation :

1.In first line we define a function with the name getLengthofString, which accepts a parameter.
2. In second line, As python can accept anything as a parameter I am converting the passed parameter into an string by using an inbuilt function str and storing into another variable.

3. Now I am getting the length of the parameter by again using an inbuilt function len and passing the string value into this.
4. In last I am printing the length on the screen, you can see the result 45 highlighted in the screen shot.

Note: I am using PyCharm IDE to demonstrate this tutorial.

How to reverse a string through programming( In C, C#, JAVA)

If you want to reverse a string , just take a string variable and a character array and the length of the array must be same as the length of string , You can achieve this by finding the length of string. And then store the string into character array.
Now to display the string in reverse manner, Just print the array from last index to first index!!!
The example is shown here, it is in C#, you can change it into any of language by just changing the syntax.

Change the Admin Password of Windows-XP without knowing the password!!!

So here is the Trick with the help, You can change the password without knowing the Password.. The only condition is that you must be Log-in into Windows first. Then follow the steps...

Step 1 : Go to START MENU-->RUN

Step 2 : Just type there " control userpasswords2"

here you will get a window, You can change the password here without entering the previous one.

Java Tutorial : Switch case( Without break )

To choose one option from several available options, we can use switch statement. Dependiong on the selection option, a perticular task can be performed.

Syntax:

switch(variable) { case value1 : statements; case value2 : statements; case value3 : statements; case value4 : statements; [default : Default statements]; }

Here depending upon the value of the case perticular statement will be executed. And if there is no value match then default statement will get executed.

Example :

Java Tutorial : For-Each Loop

This loop is specially designed for collection elements. Collection means a group of elements. For example , we can take an array as a collection or any class in java.util package can be considered as a collection. The reason is that an array stores a group of elements like integer values or strings.

Syntax:

for(val : collection)

  }

Here , the var is attached to the collections.This var represents each element of the collection one by one.

Example : here is a program to see the use of for-each loop and retrieve the elements one by one from an array and display it.

But they are not aware of the secret codes which is related to formatting the devices or many other purpose. So below is some codes and description of that codes based on its usage.

How to make a autorun file for your CD or Pendrive.

If you want to make a autorun file for your CD or Pendrive just go through it...

Steps to be followed

1) You open notepad

2) Now you write:

    [autorun]
    OPEN=INSTALL\Setup_filename.EXE

    ICON=INSTALL\Setup_filename.EXE

Now save it but not as a .txt file but as a .inf file.

But remember! The "Setup_filename.EXE" MUST be replaced with the name of the setup file. And you also need to rember that it is not all of the setup files there are called '.exe but some are called '.msi

3) Now burn your CD or Pendrive with the autorun .inf file included.

4) Now set the CD/ Pendrive in you CD drivei/Pendrive slot and wait for the autorun to begin or if nothing happens just double-click on the CD drive in "This Computer".

type in 'sfc /scannow' (without the ')

Introduction and History of JAVA!!!

As we know that JAVA was developed by Sun microsystems, now here is the berief history of how the language originated.
In 1990 Sun Microsystems Inc(US) has conceived a project to develop software for consumer electronic devices that could be controlled by a remote.This project was called Stealth Project but later its name was changed to Green Project.

But here the major problem was that when using C or C++ for developing the Project, but these languages are system dependent languages and hence could not be used on various processors, which the electronic device might use. So there is a need of another languages which should be completely system independent. Now they started developing a language which was initially called as Oak. Since this name was registered by another company, later it was changed to JAVA.

But why they choose the name Java???While theey were developing language, they were consumed a lot of tea, so they felt that they were able to devlop a better lnguage because of this tea they consumed and hence, they fixed the name Java.

By September 1994, they developed a java-based Web browser, names as HOTJava.HotJava was the first browser having the capabilities of executing applets. This time, Java's potential in the context of world wide web was recognised.

Sun formally announced Java & HotJava at SunWorld conference in 1995.On January 1996, JDK 1.0 was relleased. Today more than 5 millions people use java and more than 2 billion devices run java.

How to open "ON THE SCREEEN KEYBOARD"

People are generally does not aware of On the screen keyboard(OSK). This should be provided by the OS.

Advantage:

The main advantage of OSK is when you are dealing with online services. Here if you need some online transactions like online banking etc. Then you have to enter your password, But the hackers are well known today so they can hack your password by using KEY LOGGER or software like kry logger. So the solution of this problem is on;ine screen keyboard.

How to BOOST UP your PC???

If you are suffering from slow work of your pc or laptop...It may be the result of your low RAM memory.
And if you does not want to buy a new RAM then this tricks must help you.

CONCEPT: The concept of VIRTUAL MEMORY is behind this tricks. When your pc works it not only uses RAM but also uses some memory of your hard drive. So if you have low RAM memory then you should speed up your PC by increasing your VIRTUAL MEMORY. Now here is the steps to increase your VIRTUAL MEMORY..

Step1: Go to my computer and by right click just find it properties as shown in the below image...

Step2: Now click on advance properties, by doing this a new window will open as shown below...

Step3: Again here click on the advance tab as shown above and then click on the PERFORMANCE settings which is highlighted by yellow colors..
Now when clicked on settings new window will arise, Here click on the PROGRAMS and then click on change button, by doing this another window will opened with some options....

Step4: Now here UNCHECK the automatically manage paging file size for all drives...
After that see that what memory is recommended for your pc...now click on custom size and initialize a memory 1 GB greater than your recommended memory....

For Example here in the picture recommended memory is 3015 MB so initiate 4015 MB memory in both the boxex after this click on apply button...This settings will come into action after you RESTART your system...

Now do this and enjoy...

Format your Hard disk or USB devices by COMMAND PROMPT.

If you want to format your hard disk or removable drives such as Pen drive or memory cards using command prompt then first of all......

GoTo RUN, For this just press window+R key like in the picture :-

After this in the box type CMD. A window will open like this...

Now if your drive is K just type here K: and press ENTER
after this just type format k: and press ENTER, format starts automatically....But if the drive is used by any other applications then it will ask for format forcefully jusr type Y and press ENTER..

After the format will complete computer will ask for the volume label(name) of drive you have just formatted give it a suitable name and press ENTER as shown in the following figure....

Now you have done your work enjoy...

Setting PATH and CLASSPATH in Java in Windows7 & XP (How to set PATH variable in Java in Windows7 & XP)

Hi friends,

Today I will show you how can you set Java path and Class Path on windows 7.

First I will check if Java is installed on my machine or not, for this press CTRL+R keys .

and type cmd. Command prompt will open. just type java there as shown below.

Now as we can see we don't have Java installed on our machine we will install java first.

for this you can download Java from there official website (Donwlaod From Here) or if you already have setup just install that as shown below

Now as Java is successfully installed we will proceed to set PATH and CLASSPATH, For this go to MY COMPUTER and right click on My computer icon as shown below and select ADVANCE SYSTEM SETTINGS .

Now a new window will open as shown below , in this window select ENVIRONMENT VARIABLES click on it as shown.

Again one new window will open that will contain all the PATH and CLASSPATH variables for the system as shown below

Here you have to select Path as shown in above picture and click on edit. Now we need to copy the path of Java's bin folder to this place. below picture shows where to go for the bin folder.

After copying this path now again we will move back to our Environment Variable window ,

Now we need to paste this path there, So just type a semi colon(;) and paste the above path we copied to that window and press OK as shown below.

Now it will look like this

Finally we are done with setting PATH variable for Java, now we will proceed to set CLASSPATH,

Now again go to Environment variable window and inside CLASS window click on NEW as shown below.

When you will click here, it will open a new window. you need to type CLASS in variable name and Java's lib folder path as shown below.

To get the lib folder path search for this location as shown in below image and copy it.

Now we are done, just copy and paste the following Path and click on OK button and exit from all windows. Now open command prompt and type Java - verison as shown below, And it will tell you the current Java version installed on your system

How to Disable Recenly Opened Files List??

In Windows Vista or Windows7, To help users it creates a list of recently opened files and programmes.For those who require these items to be private, You can disable this feature by these tricks:-

right clicking on an empty area of the Taskbar then

selecting "properties".

Click on the "start menu" tab as shown in the figure....

And unchek the "store and display recently opened programs in the start menu" and

"store and display recently opened programs in the start menu and the taskbar".

Now click "ok" to save the changes.

Clean All the Temp files on every Startup or Reboot.

If you want to delete all temp files whenever you start your computer then use this trick..

open Notepad and type-

rd%temp%/s/q

md%temp%

now save this file as "cleantemp.bat".

Now go to start button and go to programs(In XP) OR All programs(In vista or Windows7) and then right click on it and then click on "open".

Here you will find a folder named "programs". Now open this folder and drag the "cleantemp.bat" file into this folder.

Now every time you reboot your computer,Windows will automatically delete all the files in your Temp folder..

How to Lock a Folder Using Notepad without any software???

If you are interested in how to to lock a folder using Notepad without the help of any software???

Then here is the trick...

Consider you want to lock a folder named songs in your D:\ , whose path is D:\audio

Now open the Notepad and type the following

ren songs songs.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}

Where "songs" is your folder name. Save the text file as lock.bat in the same drive.

Open another new notepad text file and type the following

ren songs.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D} audio

Save the text file as key.bat in the same drive.

How to use it :

To lock the pics folder, simply click the loc.bat and it will transform into control panel icon which is inaccessible.

To unlock the folder click the key.bat file. Thus the folder will be unlocked and the contents are accessible

now ENJOY.

What to do if your "FOLDER OPTION" is Missing??

If you did not be able to find your folder option then it may be due to some virus affect

Here is the solution of this problem

Go to "Run" and then type "gpedit.msc" Then go to

User Configuration then

Administrative templates then

Windows Component the go to

Windows Explorer.

Now click on Windows Explorer, here on the right side of screen you will find the 3rd option as "Removes the Folder Option menu item from the Tools menu"

Click here and check it, if it is not configured then change it to enable by double clicking on it and after applying again set it to not configured.

Now restart your computer, i hope the "folder option" will be at thhe right place..

Increase speed of your internet by 20%

If you are using any WINDOWS operating system then this trick is for you…

Microsoft reserves 20% of your total bandwidth(Internet speed) for their own purposes like Windows Updates and interrogating your PC etc

By this trick you can make this 20% to 0% and increase your speed by 20%.Here is some easy steps and u have done!!!

First of go to RUN then type “gpedit.msc” now press enter, u will have a window of “local group policy editor” like shown below. now go to….

“local computer policy” then go to

“system configuration” then go to

“administrative templates” then go to

“Network” then

“Qos packet scheduler” as shown in below picture

After clicking on Qos packet scheduler” you will get a new page. Here just click on the “Limit reservable bandwidth” , you will get another pop-up window. as shown below

Here three options are available

1.not configured

2.enable

3.disable

now click on enable button,you will get bandwidth limit is set to 20% here is your MAIN WORK…

set this 20% to 0% and click on “OK” button and close all window.

Now the operating system reserves nothing and the total bandwidth is used by yourself..

It works on windows 2000,XP,VISTA, and also in windows7.

Batch file tutorial-2

In Tutorial-1(beginner), I have covered four topics ie "echo,msg,pause and cls"...Here, I will explain "rem,start,set,goto and if".

start and rem:

Create a New Folder!

Name it Test
Put any Picture inside the folder and name it testpicture

Now, Open up Notepad and type
Code:

@echo off
echo Testing start and rem
rem title Test
start testpic.jpg (or any other extension)
pause

Save it as test4.bat

Launch it...and it will show...

Code:
Testing start and rem
Press Any Key To Continue
(and the picture will launch)

So start will Launch any file...

and rem is a Remark(it won't Show in the .bat file when Running)

goto, set and if:
Now, some more Commands are "goto", "set", and "if"

Type this in Notepad...
Code:
@echo off
echo This is a test
echo If you want to do math type 1 and press enter
echo If you want to see a picture type 2 and press enter
set /p option=
if '%option%'=='1' goto :math
if '%option%'=='2' start testpic.jpg (or any extension)

Save it!

This will show...

If you want to do math type 1 and press enter
if you want to see a picture type 2 and press enter
(here you can type 1 or 2 and press enter)
(if you press 2 and Enter the picture will load)
(if you press 1 and enter this will show up):

Press any key to continue...

goto:

So goto will go to a Label or a Part of the file
when you put :math

A New Label will be named Math and when you put goto :math

The Batch will go to :math

set:

The set option will set something ...Here it's going to set :choice

set is, in some cases followed by if
So if I type 1...in this example...

The "choice" will be 1...and it will go to :math because we put
if '%choice%'=='1' goto :math
So if we put 1, the choice will be 1 therefore it will go to :math

Simple right?

Anyway those are the Basics...

Beginning

This batch file tutorial is basically for the beginners who does not have no inial idea about batch files.
This tutorial is on how to make Batch file withNotepad...

Before the tutorial (Here are some basics!)

The words in ( ) are just Remarks...

echo on/off :

To Start off, there is the @echo off/on
and there is echo
and there is pause

Here is an Example!

Type this in Notepad and Save as Test.bat
and double click on it

Code:
@echo off
echo Hello This is a test
pause

it will look like this!

Code:
Hello This is a test
Press any key to continue...

Again open Notepad and Write:

Code:
@echo on
echo Hello This is a test
pause

Save it as test2.bat
click on it...it will look like this!

Code:
C:\Documents and Settings\User\Desktop>echo Hello This is a test
Hello This is a test
C:\Documents and Settings\User\Desktop>pause
Press any key to continue

So therefore...

If you put @echo on it will show the directory as you just saw.
but, if you put @echo off it will just show the words with no directories...understand so far?

Basically it's best to just use @echo off

Echo:

If you want to type a simple statement just type in echo and something in this case

echo Hello This is a test

Which will show only, Hello This is a test

Pause:

Pause will pause the Batch file, so that if you Press a Key the Batch will continue in this case it will exit because there is nothing left.

So try this.

Code:
@echo off
echo Hello This is a test
pause
echo I am testing pause
pause

This will show...

Code:
Hello This is a test
Press Any Key To Continue...
(When you Press a Key it will show...)
I am testing a pause
Press Any key to continue

So that covers the "Pause" Command. Smile

msg and cls:

Now some more commands...

There is msg *
And there is cls
Open Notepad and Write:

Save as test3.bat

This will show...

Code:
Hello This is a test
Press Any Key To Continue...
(when you press a key it will show)
cls
(the page will clear)

(a pop-up will show saying The End)
Press Any key to continue..

So...cls will just clear the screen
And msg * will bring up a pop-up (Simple right?)
