I really like this page for some reason. It was fun to colour.

Completely unrelated, but I’m kind of spamming the internet with this right now: If you have any experience with clay dolls for stop motion purposes, please do share your supreme knowledge. Any advice on what sort of clay to use and so on is much appreciated since I’m kind of in a hurry to find out and don’t have any previous experience with clay to draw on.

Much as expected there’s no update this Monday. I haven’t been able to draw a thing all week, nor do much of anything else.
I have been feeling a lot better today, though. Hopefully (for the sake of my sanity and budget) my chiropractor appointment tomorrow will be the last for now and we’ll be back on the regular comic schedule next week.

Burning him to a crisp is what.

Okay so my neck is pretty messed up which sucks because it’s making it hard for me to sit on a chair and draw stuff without feeling like I’ve been beat up with a bat specifically on the neck. Why does locked vertebrae always sneak up on you to pounce with explosive power of hurt and discomfort like that?
My chiropractor took some x-rays that told us that 1) My back is ridiculously lopsided (I don’t need x-rays to tell me this) and 2) My neck is straight as a board. I was like, huh, no wonder I can’t sit in a car seat without feeling like my head’s going to fall off. At least this is fixable, it’s just gonna take a long time with regular self torture. Whooptidoo.

Anyway, my point is don’t count on me to be able to draw comics until my neck is better. I spent yesterday being a stubborn idiot and sat down and coloured a page. I shouldn’t have. Seriously. Ow.
I do hope this isn’t going to take long, though. God help me if I have to go back to my classes and their shitty chairs like this.

Yeesss, this is it – Now we can move on to what I think of as ~THE FINAL SCENE~ of volume 1. This is a really misleading thing to tell you since 1) It isn’t actually the final scene, and 2) It’s pretty goddamn long.
Still I am psyched to finally start scratching the surface of the plot that is a bit more advanced than getting everyone from point A to point B.

I have updated the website here and there. The cast page is up to date now and I’ve put the older Ask the Cast answers in the gallery. I think those are the most important things.

Good old Mud face makes a return!

Back from France. Normandy was lovely with lots of adventures with cows and a pretty church in every town. Pompous gothic architecture oh yeah <3 I think I’ve met my church watching quota for a good while, ha ha.

I’m feeling pretty bummed after riding a car home for two days in extreme heat. I think I’m gonna take it easy today. I have an intense desire to play Shadow of the Colossus and watch Cowboy Bebop after listening to the soundtracks way too much on this trip.

Umm, I don’t really know how to do this, so I hope I get the page updated right.

So I get a new tablet today (yey me) as my old one broke last week, which means I’ve been flat-colouring pages with my mouse D: ooh dear god, it have been an awful week

I’ve propably mentioned before that I love getting flat colours back from Maia because she has a habit of naming the random characters. These guys were dubbed Hellboy Jr. and Lars (after Brütal Legend I take it) :D

I’m off to France on Thursday and won’t be back until July 11th. Vacation oh sweet vacation.
I’m putting Maia in charge of the website while I’m gone so we’ll update as usual. Please bear with us if something messes up though, I usually take care of website stuff so Maia isn’t as WordPress savvy.
