I just update my blog to WordPress 2.8.6, the new version fixes exploited registered (XSS vulnerability) and users logged-in  posting privileges(exploited in certain Apache configurations by uploading files).

So if you have untrusted authors on your blog, 2.8.6 is necessary. Let’s keep our make money online machine safe!

Paypal in Philippine peso currency

I just received a PayPal press release today, confirming that transactions can now be made in Philippine Peso.

“PayPal’s goal is to provide our members with a secure
, fast and convenient way to pay and get paid online,” said Mario Shiliashki, General Manager of PayPal Southeast Asia and India. “The introduction of the Philippine Peso will make domestic ecommerce easier and more convenient for buyers and sellers in the Philippines and is well timed for the holiday season!”

It seems that PayPal are now recognizing the number of Filipinos who make money online. Transactions in peso can now by passed the local banks issue when sending or receiving payments.

Paypal still uses its own foreign exchange rate which is little bit lower that the average rate, about 3-4 percent I guess.

Just finished a simple real estate website template design. I used white, grey, and apple green for this template to give more focus on real estate photo used on the banner.

Wordpress 2.8.5 was just released recently. The newly released content management system (CMS) contains many “hardening fixes” intended for the highly anticipated Wordpress 2.9 release but upgraded do to lots of new exploits in the cyberspace.

According to Google blog, you can buy Promoted Videos directly in AdWords. It means, YouTube videos in AdSense nor AdWords in YouTube? To clarify this issue here it from YouTube Engineer, Jonathan Goldman.

“AdWords advertiser with video content — from a small business looking to promote a product, to a movie studio premiering a new trailer — can use Promoted Videos to make sure their videos find a larger audience. This integration will provide a single destination for your overall Google ad buy, and will give YouTube advertisers access to campaign tools in AdWords”.

The YouTube videos in AdSense are now an available ad unit that can be displayed on AdSense publisher blogs or website, it has a thumbnail image with three lines of text and available in the following formats:

- 300×250 Medium Rectangle
- 336×280 Large Rectangle
- 728×90 Leaderboard
- 250×250 Square
- 200×200 Small Square

Adsense Publishers can prevent or block the Promoted Videos from appearing on their sites by adding “youtube.com” to their ad filter list.

YouTube AdSense videos could be a good way to increase your AdSense clicks and increase your make money online profit because readers often want to watch a video. But of course, videos should be relevant to the content of the site.

I guess it’s facebook year, the social media giant is suffering viruses threat and infections. Often times we heard a new Facebook virus attacked, and now the Vidyartha College Facebook virus has made its way.

Vidyartha College Facebook virus was first reported earlier Tuesday (US PDT) and then it stir the social network. The virus made the facebook college students users account name, password and profile data changed.

Until now Facebook has no official press release that discuss this threat.

Heard it from Google web spam Engineer Matt Cutts,

“Google does not use the keywords meta tag in our web search. To this day, you still see courts mistakenly believe that meta tags occupy a pivotal role in search rankings. We wanted to debunk that misconception, at least as it regards to Google. Google uses over two hundred signals in our web search rankings, but the keywords meta tag is not currently one of them, and I don’t believe it will be.” Matt says.

Google webmaster blog also officialy confirmed the said search algorithm changes.

So forget spamming your target keywords in your site keywords meta tag because you’re just wasting time, I suggest that you better focused on content and brand building.

I just finished a web portal design layout for my client, the design looks pretty simple because this is what my client wants. She wants simple yet effective and high quality web design that can hook visitors attention.

What I did is, I focused on navigation architechture and functionality of the site.
