The Motorola Droid is the first Google Android smartphone to get major push by the mainstream media. Reviews suggest that besides the Palm Pre or Apple iPhone, that the Motorola Droid is the phone to get. Moto Droid ($199) specs include a 3.7-inch touchscreen, QWERTY keypad, location aware GPS, Bluetooth, streaming audio and video, 5 megapixel camera with dual LED flash, multimedia text, instant messaging, WiFi, a host of bundled apps for productivity or entertainment and just under 6.5 hours of talk time.

In a rapidly growing list of Google Android phones, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is the most recent handset to be announced. This quad-band Sony Ericsson phone boasts a 4-inch touchscreen display and a very attractive user interface. A closer look at the specs reveals 8.1 megapixel camera, media player, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, microSD card slot and 1GB of built in memory. Expect the Xperia X10 phone from Sony Ericsson sometime Q1 2010 in either Sensuous Black or Lustre White.

A while back our Men’s Style section featured the Rubiks Cube World Atlas puzzle. Today, you get a Rubik’s inspired Cube Clock. While not a fully functional Rubik’s Cube puzzle, the colorful alarm clock allows you to twist the top row to switch the dsiplay to reveal to you the time, date, alarm or temperature.

After oogling over the Brookklands Hooded Rugby, I ventured over to the sale section of RL’s rugby.com only find more goodies. What better way to save during this global financial fiasco than to buy (when you need to) clothes on sale.

For me, one highlight of the Ralph Lauren sale is the Clifton Waffle Crewneck. The shirt is simple and something that can work in your wardrobe plain or casual, dressed up or down and is also great foundation piece to build up from for a layered look.

I love a good pair of Pumas. Alexander McQueen often puts together great kicks for your feet with his Puma works and in 2009 the tradition continues with the Ribcage. Personally, I am not yet sold on the Amazon Kindle and at this point, I see no need for a dedicated reader. Plus, when going for bang for bucks, at the current price point, I’d suggest a laptop / netbook, iPhone, Nokia or Sony computer handheld over the Kindle 2.

However, Amazon orders for the Kindle have remained backed up since its release. Apparently there are people with a need for the Amazon Kindle and for them the Kindle probably is a lifesaver.

The Ralph Lauren Rugby line is looking a bit more impressive with the 2009 Spring Collection. The addition of the Brooklands Hooded Rugby is just one of the new items that grabbed my attention and enlisted to become an upcoming purchase.

The hooded rugby is faded black and accented with bold stripes running across the chest, sleeves and back in red and maritime yellow. The jersey number boldly drapes the back across printed canvas patchwork that lets the world know you are second to none.

When a movie preview starts like that, it gets your attention. Somehow you believe that inside the film you’ll find the information you need to take your bosses job, make Olga Kurylenko your sex slave and from there, conquer the world.

The movie Gomorrah will not do any of the above, as the film is not an over-the-shoulder view fast tracking up the mob ladder. However, the film definitely will provide you with enough insight into foreign crime to reassure you that your money belt is a better investment than you previously thought.

There a several stories in the movie, none of them overlapping, but all of them involving the Cammora organization in some fashion or another. Gomorrah merely serves as an introductory course of the festering criminal underbelly of contemporary Europe.

While this is nothing like the Children of God, that is the only film in recent memory (for me) that can relate (roughly) to Gomorrah because of the audacity and frankness of the revelations that it brings to you.

It’s hard to believe that there is even more hype about the upcoming Palm Pre smartphone than there was for the Palm Foleo, but from the photos to the outlined specs, there seems to be valid cause for uproar. In case you have missed the news, here is a quick roundup of good Palm Pre info.

So far the Palm Pre is looking pretty good, I think there could be a few inprovements to the design, but I am really loving the user interface and interactivity, which is the true heart of the device. Overall Palm appears to be heading in the right direction. Now all that is left for Palm and Sprint to do is market the Palm Pre properly and set the right price point.
