and the winner is... ADAM

In what became one of the biggest surprises in any season of Big Brother, Adam become the unlikely winner of the show last night, and is now half a million dollars richer!

Adam took a surprising 6 of the 7 jury votes. The only vote for Ryan was submitted by Josh. Adam has generously pledged $100,000 of his winnings to the autism charity that he was (maybe still is?) working for before he went into the house. Comments he made in the house had apparently gotten him fired, unbeknownst to him. We'll see if this donation changes things around. After all, he is just a very outspoken young man and we all say dumb things from time to time.

We'd like to wish Adam and big CONGRATULATIONS on his win! We know that all the houseguests read this blog, so please feel free to leave your own comments as well.

Scandal surrounding the most recent HOH competition

During the HOH competition (a true/false quiz type competition), the critical question asked was "Fact or Fiction? There is still one previous relationship in the BB9 house."

The answer of course is FICTION, Ryan stepped on FACT, while Adam and Sharon both stepped on FICTION. Julie gave too much pause for my liking before saying that the answer was FACT, and on the television monitors it said (The Guinea Pigs). Immediately I thought how stupid that is, and as it turns out, it was the question that stole away the HOH from Sharon who would have won if the answer had been the correct FICTION.

Check out the video and decide for yourself. This reminds me of back in the days when it seemed that CBS was rigging competitions to keep the lovely Janelle in the house. *shrug*

Natalie surprised at her eviction

Natalie was evicted from the BB9 house last night, looking very surprised and in fact... hurt. It seems that she was convinced that she was staying in the house. Adam and Ryan had been weighing the options of keeping Natalie versus Sharon, and in the end the two of them decided to let Sheila break a tie and cast a live vote to evict Natalie.

I think this may have been a really smart move on the part of Adam and Ryan. They can explain themselves as being indecisive and not feel responsible for being the ones who evicted either Sharon or Natalie. We will have to see how it plays out in the jury house though.

Now Natalie is off to the jury house, and I'm sure we're all wondering how she will react and behave upon being re-united with her beloved Matt. He continues to state that his interests in Natalie are purely of a friendship (platonic) but I think we know different. Matt is a guy, and if given the opportunity for "a little", my bet is that he is going to take it. But we're moving in a strange direction here aren't we?

Flip Flop... Flip Flop

Well here's the currect situation... Adam is our POV winner and of course he removed himself from the block.
In turn, Sheila replaced him with Natalie. This was the plan from the get-go, ie. to backdoor Natalie and have her removed from the game....

BUT! Here's where the flipping and flopping start. Ryan and Adam have realized that the two of them, if they work together, can choose who they would like to keep in the house: either Natalie or Sharon!

Soooo.... for once, we can't provide you with much of a spoiler for this week's eviction as it really could go both ways. We may know more by watching the live feeds just hours prior to the live eviction.

James was voted out, and the new HOH in the BB9 house became Sheila.

Adam will obviously remove himself from the block, and the replacement nominee will be Natalie, who will likely be voted out.

Power Updates!

Well I am once again out of town, and away from my own computer so I figured I would bring an update here quickly until I can post some more detailed spoilers.

POV Winner: Ryan

Ryan used the POV to remove Sheila from the block, and the replacement nominee is James.
By all accounts, it would appear that James is the one to go this week.

Josh Evicted / Adam the new HOH

Well tonight was no shock when Josh was evicted by a vote of 3 to 1. His games simply caught up to him and the remaining houseguests just weren't buying into it. His sole vote was James. Time will tell if James and Sharon can form a new alliance.

Josh seems content now to go on to the Jury House. He told Julie Chen that he hopes it is somewhere warm where he can work on his tan. It makes me hope the Jury House is in Anchorage, Alaska. Josh is now hoping to land a role on Days of Our Lives or any other soap that will take him. Ya. Right.

The new HOH is Adam! This is his second run as HOH and it should prove to be another predictable week with Adam at the helm. Time will tell.

BB9 sunbathers

Apart from that picture of Chelsia, those last 3 are from this afternoon. Not too much game being discussed today for a change. A lot of talk about what movies and television shows that Sheila has appeared in though. I didn't know she was in European Vacation 2. She was the Vanna White type game show presenter at the beginning of the show during the "Pig in a Poke" portion.

James wins POV again!

Well James can stop his little tantrums at least for another week.
Once again he has won the BB9 Power of Veto and removed himself from the block. Safe for another week.

The replacement nominee is Sharon, which puts the former couple up against one another for the vote to evict. So to summarize:

Natalie (HOH)
James (POV)
Josh (nominee)
Sharon (nominee)

Josh... the sneaky one that he is, came up with a way to possibly keep himself safe this week. He came up with the plan of eating a hamburger (keep in mind, he is on SLOP this week) and earning himself a penalty nomination for the following week. This would also mean that next week he would be ineligible for HOH and POV competitions, making him a very easy target the following week. This kind of knowledge would likely encourage the house guests to evict Sharon, knowing that Josh can easily be removed from the game the following week.

Of course, nothing in the BB9 is sacred and when this plan came to light, the producers of the show made it clear they wouldn't tolerate this plan. So this is something you'll never see on the broadcast show.

Eviction and HOH update

Well everyone, I am out of town again so I'm doing my best to keep you all up-to-date with BB9 household happenings. In case you didn't already know, CHELSIA has been evicted from the BB9 house. I not sure if I'm sorry to see her go based on her actions and activities since she was first nominated.

Fittingly, the new HOH is NATALIE!

Veto Ceremony Results

Well as expected, James has removed himself from the block and Sharon is up as a volunteer replacement (ie. pawn).
I don't think I would ever want to be up as a pawn in this game seeing as more often than not, THEY are the ones to get voted out, but I think it's safe to say that this week, Chelsia will be voted out with a majority of votes.

She has been freaking out a lot recently, expecially on Natalie. Once again last night she went on a tirade against Natalie. I do believe the house will be a little less loud once she is gone. But then, she'll be alone in sequester with Matt which will drive Natalie absolutely crazy!

Well it was a bit of a catfight Friday night in the BB9 household.
Chelsia had a bit too much ice-cream and went on quite a tangent with Natalie. It's no secret these two aren't liking one another recently, and this video clip proves it in spades! Don't watch these if foul language bothers you.

Chelsia goes too far with this stuff in my opinion, but what I got a kick out of was how she mentions that she's going to be having sex with Matt once she gets to the sequester house, also revealing the infamous scene in the food locker where she and Matt made out for a little while. This visibly upsets Natalie who still seems to be convinced that she and Matt have a relationship of some kind. The end result of this is Natalie talking to Adam shortly thereafter in the HOH room, trying to convince him to keep Chelsia in the house somehow.

James has WON THE POV and is expected to remove himself from the block. Natalie is (or was as of last night) trying to convince Adam to replace James (assuming he removes himself) with Josh and get him out of the house.

It's a mad mad mad mad BB9 house!

The house was split but James had the final say as Matt was sent out (in tears) of the BB9 house. This season is the first time I have seen so many tears on the way out the door and a first among the men if memory serves.

Despite the split, the houseguests seem to have found a little bit or harmony, at least for a little while, and the new Head of Household came down to either Ryan or Adam, and ADAM pulled off the victory!

Eviction Day Lockdown

On the left, a shot of the houseguests on lockdown in the HOH room. BB9 is likely setting up for tonight's eviction of either Ryan or Matt, and from the looks of the poll above, Matt appears to be on his way out. Natalie seems to have come to terms with it. It will be interesting to see if she what her vote will be.
On the right, a picture of Ryan and Matt viewing the most recent HOH competition. I bet Matt wishes he stayed in a little longer now.

BB9 - Let's get up to date!

My apologies once again for the lack of updates in the past several days. I was travelling without a computer or even a television, so needless to say I was aching for my Big Brother 9 fix!

Here's what has happened in the past several days:

James returns to the house 5 minutes after having been evicted. He is voted back in instead of the "mystery houseguest" (which was Alex). The vote to return him was 5 to 3 with Ryan, Sheila, and Matt voting for the mystery houseguest.
Similar to when Ryan won the HoH shortly after being voted out (it was Allison who left), James came back into the house and immediately WON THE HOH. He and Natalie were the last two standing (hanging) in the endurance competition, and James had worked a deal to keep Natalie and Matt safe from nomination.
At the nomination ceremony, James stays true to his word and nominates Ryan and Sheila for eviction. At this point, he was still unaware who the 3rd vote was to keep him out of the house although he knows it was either Adam or Matt.
The POV ceremony upcoming, Sheila is sweating bullets thinking that she's going home and that nobody loves her etc... Mostly paranoia because if those nominations were to remain, the chances were great that Ryan was leaving, not Sheila.
James still wonders who the 3rd vote was, and after listening to Adam defend himself vigorously, James believed that Adam lied and he was the 3rd vote (wrong!).
James wins the POV and plans on removing Sheila and replacing with Adam, until he had a little chat with Sharon who confirms that is was in fact Matt... the 3rd vote. James immediately makes up his mind to remove Sheila, and replace with Matt, which he does.

So this is where we stand:

HOH endurance competition underway

Well nobody was evicted from the house this week.

The deal was, that America could vote to have one of the evicted house-guests back into the BB9 house, and American voted for Alex. The extra twist was that the houseguests themselves would decide who to bring back into the house. Either the houseguest they just evicted (James) or a mystery houseguest (Alex). The vote went 5 to 3 and James returned, and is now participating in the HOH competition.

As of right now, there appears to be only 3 people left in the HOH endurance competition. Chelsia, James, and Natalie. Natalie is saying how much she wants to win it so that she can see pictures of her family and her dog on the walls of the HOH room. She's a strange one.

I'm a little bewildered as to why there are only 3 left in the competition at this point. The competition itself is barely 2 hours old yet most houseguests have dropped out. Ryan and Matt are sitting by, watching and wondering what crazy thing Natalie will say next I'm sure. Chelsia and James continue to hang in there steadfast. I don't think it will be long before we'll have a winner.

Power of Veto Ceremony - results

This week, the power of Veto was won by Chelsia, who as expected took herself off the block, forcing Ryan (Head of Household) to nominate a replacement. Ryan replaces Chelsia with James. So here are this week's final nominees for eviction:

Frankly, I am a little surprised at James as a replacement. I figured he was in solid with that "bros" group we saw forming late last week. From what I am hearing on the live feeds the past couple of days, it sounds as though James will get the majority of votes and will be leaving the house. We'll have to wait and see how well he campaigns for himself to stay.
