In June 2024, Big Brother Canada closed its doors for what seemed like forever. This was the second time the reality TV show had been canceled. Fans tried again to revive the series with petitions and campaigns, but it seemed like it was not coming back this time. 

The Change.Org petition gained over 13,000 signatures in over two years. It received most after the initial cancellation. The dedicated fans wanted their favorite spring show back.

In May 2026, Global TV announced that it would no longer air Big Brother US. Speculation immediately started that the popular summer reality TV show was likely leaving Global TV, and another international network would buy and broadcast it. These theories were true.  CTV and Crave announced that US Big Brother would air on CTV and stream on Crave in 2027. That wasn’t the only major announcement.

On June 4, 2026, news broke that Big Brother Canada would return in 2027 but with some changes. It will film in Montreal, air in the Spring of 2027, and have 30 60-minute episodes. Additional changes include a new host, Andrea Bain. The show would also air on CTV and stream on Crave.

Entourage will also act as producers alongside the networks. The company is responsible for Big Brother Celebrities, the French-language series. The 12 original seasons of Big Brother Canada will be available to stream on Crave.

With the return of Big Brother Canada, Big Brother Network Canada also returns. We’re back, baby. We’ll update the site with news, features, exclusives, interviews, and more as we head into the new season and beyond. The move to a new network, city, and production company should open the door for many new possibilities with this old classic.

Season 12 ended the series on a high note, but we’re excited to see what the 13th season brings. Big Brother Canada famously took away the live feeds and switched to Digital Dallies a few seasons before its cancellation. We hope the revival brings back the live feeds. They add so much to the series and experience as a Big Brother viewer.

In early June, we reported that Big Brother Canada had been removed from the 2024-2025 lineup. However, an official decision hadn’t been made on the show’s future. It wasn’t looking good. On June 27, 2024, Big Brother Canada made an official statement on their social media platforms.

The statement revealed that the show was officially over. There would not be a Big Brother Canada 13, This news isn’t shocking but disappointing to many fans of the series.  Dedicated fans had even made a petition on Change.org to try to save the series. As of June 2024, it received nearly 8,000 signatures

Big Brother Canada has been saved in the past by its passionate and loyal fanbase. Nearly 8,000 signatures is a lot and with the official cancelation, it’s likely to get even more, but would the production company behind the show save it a second time? It doesn’t seem likely at this moment.

Twitter user Big Brother Maple, also reported that Corus Entertainment cited many factors in the decision to cancel the show, including “audience trends, available support from sponsors and advertisers, and production and licensing costs.”

Additionally, the passion that existed when it first got canceled doesn’t seem as strong as it was then, with fans upset by the decision to stop live feeds. The return of Anthony and Victoria also got a lot of backlash for Big Brother Canada 12.

Even with the lack of feeds, Big Brother Canada will be missed. Big Brother Network Canada has been covering the show even before the season 1 premiere, so we’ve been covering it for over a decade.  We will miss the show and all the Big Brother Canada fans. Therefore, this is likely the end of this site as well. It’s been an interesting journey and we’re sad to see it end. And I know this is not the news anyone who worked on the series wanted, so I sympathize with them. It’s a hard day for many.

Big Brother Canada has been put on hiatus. This means we will not see it in 2025, and Global TV could remove it permanently from their TV schedule. Brioux.TV reported that Corus Entertainment’s Media Upfront revealed that Big Brother Canada had been put on a hiatus but made no decision yet on whether to cancel the series permanently.

Troy Reeb, vice president of Corus Entertainment cited the Big Brother Canada 12 low ratings as the main decision to omit the series from the 2024/2025 TV schedule. If Big Brother Canada is ultimately canceled this will be the second time. The show originally got canceled in 2017 after Big Brother Canada 5 aired, but fan support helped reverse the decision. However, if it’s canceled this time, this may be the end of the Canadian version of the show.

Fans have been upset since the series decided to stop Live Feeds and replace them with Digitial Dailies. This has led to a major decline in social media engagement. Additionally, there was clear outrage at the return of Victoria and Anthony for Big Brother Canada 12.  

The fan support has been steadily declining, so the ratings not making standards doesn’t shock. It’s just unfortunate for those who still enjoyed the show. We’ll continue to update you on any news on the status of Big Brother Canada. However, we, unfortunately, won’t have anything to cover if the series does get canceled. And that means no Big Brother Canada coverage in 2025 for sure, unless Corus Entertainment changes its mind on airing this series, which doesn’t seem likely, or decides to air it later in the year. 

For now, we have to wait and see.

Big Brother Canada 12 has come to an end. I have already reflected on the season. It was a very interesting, fun season, that was a little stressful but solid in terms of gameplay and entertainment, and it had a completely shocking (but satisfying) finale. As I covered Big Brother Canada all season and watched hours and hours of Digitial Dailies, I also screengrabbed a lot of photos to possibly use later.

I used a very small fraction of what I screengrabbed. Therefore, so they don’t all go to waste, I created a gallery of some of my favorite photos. Most of these screencaps are new images that I haven’t posted in previous articles. However, a few may be repeat images. Some people may not care to view these Big Brother Canada 12 photos. That’s fine if you want to get on with your life and forget BBCAN12. However, for the few who want to take a trip down memory lane: these are for you.

Big Brother Canada 12 ended last night with Bayleigh winning the season. It was a very shocking, entertaining, and satisfying conclusion to BBCAN12.  Now that the season has come to an end, let’s discuss whether this was a good, bad, or meh season overall. I wrote a similar article for Big Brother Canada 10 to reflect on that season. I am doing the same for Big Brother Canada 12 because I have seen negative reactions to it. Despite some hyperbole, BBCAN12 is far from the worst season of the hit reality TV show.

It has many positive attributes and a few negative ones. Let’s objectively look back at Big Brother Canada 12 and discuss it. 

The Digitial Dailies definitely soured Big Brother Canada in general. It has become a very hard show to cover with limited access to exclusive content. Therefore, Big Brother Canada 12 (like 11) automatically loses points just for existing in the post-Live Feeds world.  Now in terms of houseguests. The season started very strong with the newbie houseguests pledging to evict the returning players.

This made us excited about them. They seemed wise enough to do what needed to be done: evict the returning players. Then they didn’t do it. This made us question the game prowess and intellect of the new players. They all seemed like sheep to Anthony and Victoria. This made it not fun to watch at the start. It became a little too predictable. However, if you were a huge Victoria and Anthony fan, you loved how they controlled the game.

Even if you didn’t like them, on a pure game level, you had to respect and admire the ease at which they took over the game. Big Brother Canada 12 was set for a Victoria versus Anthony showdown. Bayleigh beating the odds and winning the season makes her win even greater. BBCAN12 was always Anthony’s or Victoria’s to win, or in this case, lose. 

Victoria and Anthony are also very entertaining players. Therefore, they brought entertainment and chaos. Chaotic is really the best adjective to describe the season, especially with Victoria being such a main part. It seems like it’s been forever since we’ve had a BBCAN feud. Yes, Kuzie and Zach from Big Brother Canada 11 gave us feuding and drama.

However, Anthony and Victoria’s feud seems to cut deep. It will probably be a while, if ever, they become friends again. He hugged her after leaving the Big Brother Canada 12 house. However, she called him trash during the finale and said her vote was for revenge. I don’t think the damage to their friendship will be repaired overnight.  The dominance of Anthony and Victoria made it hard to get to know the other players. We also don’t know how they are as players because most seemed so misted by Anthony and Victoria. They made moves that didn’t benefit them because of Anthony and Victoria. 

We will always know Big Brother Canada 12 as the Anthony, Victoria, and Bayleigh season (with her winning it). The season was very entertaining with insane gameplay. Vivek betraying Dinis will go down as one of the dumbest and most shocking moves of the series. 

Then Victoria and Avery taking out Kayla isn’t that far behind in the bad move hall of fame. Anthony taking Bayleigh to the end instead of Lexus is also a pretty bad move. Despite us not seeing much of the players’ personalities beyond their gameplay, the show managed to have a few fun characters. Canada’s Favourite Player Todd was really fun to watch. His goofy persona made him one of the best Canada’s Favourite Player winners.

Bayleigh’s sporadic and anxious gameplay also made for fun viewing. We also watched her game journey and she definitely deserved to win Big Brother Canada 12. As already stated, Victoria and Anthony know how to make good TV. We also love blindsides, and we had like three in a row (if you count Vivek’s blindside with the Executive Veto). Then Matt’s eviction wasn’t a blindside but it was close to being one.

The season could be frustrating at times (how could they let Victoria and Anthony get that far?!) but it was never boring. 

The Anthony versus Victoria war remained exciting all season, but if you didn’t like either player, it makes sense to not rate this season highly. I wouldn’t call this a favorite season but I do think it was a lot better than people want to believe.

Based on previous Big Brother Canada history, Canada’s Favourite winner would likely be a man. Kiefer Collison, Marty Frenette, and Jonathan Leonard are the only three past winners. They are all men. East Coast Canadian players also get a lot of love from the fans. Therefore, Todd seemed like the Big Brother Canada 12’s Favourite Houseguest frontrunner. He also won many of the BBCAN Awards. These wins seemed like a good indicator that he had a lot of support behind him as a liked player.

As someone who monitors social media, I also saw a lot of support and praise for Todd this season, especially as we edged closer to the finale. We ran a poll yesterday to see who received the majority of Canada’s Favourite Houseguest votes. With a small sample size, Todd had nearly 40 percent of the votes.

Bayleigh came in second with a little over 20 percent of the votes. Surprisingly, Anthony came in third with about 10 percent of the votes. This is surprising because I thought Victoria would have been a more popular player than him. He has also received a lot of negative attention from some fans. Victoria, however, also received a lot of negative comments from fans. She also placed in the top five by taking the fourth spot with nearly 10 percent of the votes. Tola was the next highest after Victoria. 

As previously stated, this is a small sample size, so the actual votes may not have reflected the same percentage. However, it did make it appear that Todd or Bayleigh were the players most likely to win Canada’s Favourite Player. Before Bayleigh won Big Brother Canada 12, Arisa Cox announced the winner of Canada’s Favourite Player title and $10,000.

The winner is…Todd!

This surprises no one. Congrats Todd on being voted Canada’s Favourite Player.

Since March, we have been waiting to see which one of the 14 Big Brother Canada 12 players would take the crown. After nearly 70 days, it finally ended. The season started with Anthony and Victoria controlling the game. From week 1, it became clear it was their season to lose. At first, they were both playing strong games, but eventually, Victoria took control of it. 

However, Anthony became an untouchable player in the Big Brother Canada 12 house. They could have been one of the strongest final two matchups in the show’s history. However, Anthony waited for the right opportunity and took Victoria out of the running to win. This turned Big Brother Canada 12 from a battle between Victoria and Anthony, to a battle between Bayleigh and Anthony. Lexus wasn’t completely out of the game.

Anthony and Bayleigh just seemed like the players most likely to win the season. A 90-minute finale showed the final three players, Anthony, Lexus, and Bayleigh, battling it out in the three-part final Head of Household Competition.  Anthony won part 1, Bayleigh won part 2, and Anthony won the final part after going to a tiebreaker question with Bayleigh. Then he evicted, shockingly, Lexus, making Anthony and Bayleigh the final two players.

After some intense questioning and final two speeches, the jury was ready to decide. When Arisa Cox read the votes, they went as follows:

After nearly 70 days in the Big Brother Canada 12 house, Bayleigh, Anthony, and Lexus are finally about to leave. One of them leaves with the biggest prize in BBCAN history. The other gets a nice second-place cash prize. The third just gets to join the bitter jury. They could also become a bitter juror or become one of the few not bitter ones. We’re headed towards a very exciting Big Brother Canada 12  finale. 

Tuesday’s episode revealed that Lexus secured the final Power of Veto and her place in the final three. She then voted out Todd. This made Bayleigh, Anthony, and Lexus the final three Big Brother Canada 12 players. The episode ended with the houseguests watching a preview of Inside Out 2. The first part of the final Head of Household would have an Inside Out 2 theme. 

Grab some snacks, and get ready to watch 90 minutes of competitions, jury questions, and speeches. Then either Lexus, Anthony, or Bayleigh becomes the Big Brother Canada 12 winner. 

The episode starts with a recap of the season, with a focus on Bayleigh, Anthony, and Lexus’s games.

BBCAN12 Final Head of Household Competition Part 1

Who automatically advances to Part 3 with this victory? 

The Inside Out 2-themed competition involves the final three running up and down stairs then sliding on a slide and running up to a platform. They must fill several different color tubes with the correctly colored ball. If the wrong color ball lands in a tube, the player must empty all of the tubes and begin again. The first houseguest to complete this competition advances to Part 3.

They must fill 6 tubes with 6 balls, 36 total.

Anthony figures out a method to the madness and completes it first. He’s ahead by a lot when he wins.

Who takes the final spot in the last HOH and faces the winner of Part 1?

Lexus and Bayleigh face off in Part 2.

Lexus and Bayleigh must stack answers to questions based on events in the house. They have to answer four questions. They also have to lasso and pull in the boxes with the answers. It’s a combination of knowing trivia, balancing, and a little physical pulling of the boxes. The fastest time wins the second part of the HOH.

Lexus struggles a little more with answering the questions correctly than Bayleigh.  Bayleigh manages to win it by completing it in a little over 10 minutes.

BBCAN12 Final Head of Household Competition Part 3

Who will become the final Head of Household of the season? And who will he or she evict? They were asked trivia questions about the jurors and events involving them in the house. 

Question 1-Anthony got it right.

Question 2- They both got it right. 

Question 3- Bayleigh got it right. 

Question 4- They both got it right. 

Question 5- They both got it right.

Question 6- They both got it right. 

Question 7-They both got it right.

It’s a tie. They go to the tiebreaker question. Whoever goes closest to the real question wins. Anthony wins by not going over. He guessed 33 something, Bayleigh guesses 100 something, and the answer is 60-something.

Anthony wins and becomes the final HOH and the first member of the final two. 

Anthony gives a speech about taking someone who he thinks he can beat. He evicts Lexus.

Anthony and Bayleigh are the final two of Big Brother Canada 12. 

The audience is (understandable) shocked by Anthony’s decision to evict Lexus.

We saw Kevin Jacobs host the jury roundtable on Tuesday’s episode, so we didn’t see it during tonight’s episode.  

The BBCAN12 Questions and Answers Segment

What will the jury ask the final two houseguests? They teased some brutal questions.

 Elijah asks Bayleigh about her biggest mistake and how she recovered. She said she was too loyal, but corrected by getting out Victoria.

Kayla asks why the jury should trust Anthony. He said he would have been an idiot to go to the end with Hot Chocolate. He said they would have taken him out. He had to make the move that got him to the end.

Bayleigh asks what was a move she made that was only hers. She says creating the relationship with Anthony was a move just for her.  She says taking Todd off the block and naming Victoria as HOH were some important parts of her loyal game, all moves for her.

Tola asks Bayleigh why Anthony should lose. She says she fought harder and played more loyally than him. She said he is a king and she is a queen. The queen has to do more in Chess, and she has to do a lot more than Anthony.

Victoria asks Anthony why should she vote for trash. She also names things he did to betray her in the game. He says the majority of the game they were together. However, he heard she turned her back on him.

Todd asks Anthony which betrayal was the most instrumental in getting him to the end. He says it hurt on a personal level to get out Victoria, but it was important to get him to the end.

Lexus asks Anthony why he evicted her when he preached loyalty. He says he took her out because he thought he could beat Bayleigh and it was his best shot to the end.

The first five evicted houseguests come to talk about the game. Donna and Matt both talk about rooting for Bayleigh and Lexus. That’s the only time they had in the finale.

We told you who we think will win Big Brother Canada 12, now we want to know who you think SHOULD win Big Brother Canada 12. There is a valid argument for each of the final three players. Lexus played a passive game but she helped execute one of the biggest moves of the season: ensuring Victoria and Avery turned on Kayla. She also wasn’t as protected as Anthony and Bayleigh, because Matt, Tola, and Anthony were her only real allies. Anthony had the most control of the game from the beginning. However, his threat level could have sent him out of the Big Brother Canada 12 house early. He used his social game to maneuver his way further. Bayleigh was a potential target at the beginning but shifted her game when necessary. This allowed her to build alliances and become someone most players wanted to go far. 

She had a lot of agency by helping influence Victoria and making sure she got her way throughout Big Brother Canada 12. No one is out of the realm of possibilities of becoming the Big Brother Canada 12 winner. It depends on who the jury decides to reward and why they reward them. Tuesday’s episode showed that the jury is about to be bitter with a big B. 

This means that Anthony and Lexus should be especially worried going into the Big Brother Canada 12 finale. The jury doesn’t seem to respect Lexus’s game, and they think Anthony betrayed most of them. Bayleigh is currently the favorite to win the season. However, things can change if she doesn’t make it to the final two, or if the other houseguests win over the jury with their speeches and answers.

One of the exciting things about the Big Brother Canada 12 finale is that anyone can win it. With Big Brother Canada 11, Ty won when he secured a spot in the final three. The same goes for Kevin Jacobs in Big Brother Canada 10. On paper, Anthony should be the season frontrunner. However, Big Brother 19 may be a look at Anthony’s future. Sometimes if you don’t manage the jury well and make too many ruthless plays, it turns the tides against you.

We could see tonight if Anthony has a similar fate to his first season on Big Brother Canada and becomes a two-time runner-up, like Paul Abrahamian. Bayleigh and Lexus have played similar games by being loyal to their alliances but still considered targets by them. They also trusted Anthony, but Bayleigh has always been weary of him. Bayleigh has played more of a dominant game, while Lexus’s game has been passive but just as effective. Let’s look at the possible finale scenarios, and discuss who we think will win each vote.

Bayleigh Vs. Anthony

This is the least likely scenario of tonight’s Big Brother Canada 12 finale. They’re both too ruthless to take the other to the end. However, if something crazy happens and one takes the other to the final two, let’s look at how that scenario plays out.

If Anthony takes Bayleigh to the end, he loses even more credit with the jury. They will judge him for cutting Lexus, who has been one of his closest allies for most of the game. The jurors also may judge him for completely betraying the Hot Chocolate alliance. Even Lexus may turn on him if he cuts her now.

They might also credit Bayleigh for manipulating him into taking her to the end. If Bayleigh takes Anthony, they may credit him with fooling her. Bayleigh could also lose points for not giving them that big moment of slaying the dragon, Anthony. But, I don’t think she necessarily loses next to him. Here’s how I think the votes will go depending on who takes whom.

Bayleigh Takes Anthony To The Final Two

Avery votes for Bayleigh.
Tola votes for Anthony.

The key votes in this scenario are Kayla and Victoria. It depends on what Kayla values more: another Black winner or a woman winner. She prioritized Hot Chocolate in the Big Brother Canada 12 house but may have changed her tune. Victoria says she won’t vote bitterly but I don’t quite believe this, and Bayleigh is a good enough player for Victoria to support voting for her in the end. This scenario may come down to a close vote, and I see some switching depending on speeches and questions, but I think ultimately, Bayleigh edges out Anthony by at least a couple of votes (if not all of them).

It could be unanimous or close to one in this scenario. I can see Lexus and Tola becoming annoyed enough with Anthony’s latest betrayal to turn against him and not give him their votes. However, if they decide it’s just a game, they may be his only two votes to win. Elijah seems like a player who values loyalty so I think he switches his vote here because Anthony may come off a bit too cutthroat to secure a victory, especially after preaching loyalty all season. The jury segment from Tuesday’s episode basically confirmed that the jury is not Anthony fans. They’re supporting Bayleigh. If she makes it to the end, she’s winning.

Bayleigh Vs. Lexus

If I had to guess, I think this is the most likely scenario for tonight’s finale. I think Bayleigh will win the final Head of Household and cut Anthony. If Lexus wins and cuts Anthony, I think she earns some respect from the jury. I just don’t know if it’s enough to win Big Brother Canada 12. Let’s look at both of these potential outcomes as well.

Anthony and Tola could give Lexus their votes just as their close ally. However, I think ultimately they would vote for Bayleigh as well. She had more of an active game and I think they will respect that more. She helped drive more of the action, while Lexus helped support more of the action. However, Lexus could have a great final speech and answers so she could swing some votes in her favor.

Lexus Takes Bayleigh To The Final Two

Anthony votes for Bayleigh.

I think Bayleigh still wins but maybe not by as many votes. I thought Tola might be a vote for Lexus, but the jury segment showed that he also doesn’t seem to respect her game. I can see many people being surprised and impressed if Lexus cuts Anthony. This may make them give her their votes. They even mentioned that on Tuesday’s episode.

Lexus Vs. Anthony

Percentage-wise, this scenario has the best odds of being the outcome of the season. Anthony and Lexus are most likely taking each other to the end. This scenario is also the hardest to predict because Avery, Victoria, and Kayla, by proximity, don’t have the best impression of either of their games. Victoria often said she didn’t want to see Lexus win. She hated the idea of her making it to the final two. The other women agreed. However, with Anthony’s betrayal, Victoria may rather see Lexus win than Anthony. I think Victoria still has a lot of influence in the game, especially over Kayla and Avery.

This also may mean she influences Elijah. We also saw that Tola seemed very hurt by Anthony not voting to keep him. This could make him also a bit bitter toward him. Todd will be voting independently from Bayleigh’s influence. Therefore, his vote is hard to predict. I think he respected Anthony’s game, but Lexus and him grew close during the final few weeks.

He may see her as a more formidable player than he once did. I also don’t think who takes who matters because everyone expects them to take each other. Therefore, I will just do a general look at the votes.

Even though I still projected Anthony beating Lexus, I don’t know. I think Anthony ultimately wins because Victoria might want to believe that the best player took her out. It would help her ego. She could say she lost because the BBCAN12 winner saw her as too much of a threat. She also created this narrative in her head and amongst the other houseguests that Lexus did nothing all season. Therefore, to vote her as the winner, makes her seem bitter. She doesn’t seem like she wants the bitter juror reputation. However, I would not be surprised if Lexus won Big Brother Canada 12. Her game had some strong points. However, I just don’t know if they were as strong as Anthony’s game.
