Tell the Truth

It is better to tell the truth rather than to be politically correct

Biblical truth is both unchanged and unchangeable and cannot be modified or customized to fit a specific lifestyle or mode of behavior. A person can either accept or reject the teachings of the bible.

Carrie Prejean the recent runner up in the Miss America pageant is to be commended for being consistent with her beliefs. She believed that marriage is between a man and a woman which is a noble belief because it is based on the Word of God. A person can either accept the scriptural teachings of marriage or reject them, there is no middle ground.

Those who believe in the bible should not apologize for its’ teachings on marriage, political correctness should not over rule the truth when it comes to scriptural teachings.

Be prepared for the best and worst in life. Life is filled with highs and lows, twist and turns. There are few guarantees in life. The benefit of good deeds and hard work is sometimes reaped years later.
Success comes easy for some and is a struggle for others. If success is achieved remain humble and gracious for one criminal act, a major loss of employment or a serious illness can blur the benefits of success.
Life is about relationships, negative relationships leads to sadness and positive relationships leads to happiness and success, Share your life with others, value personal relationships more than material possessions.

Partiality

Don’t Show Partiality
One of the problems that has plagued families, churches, schools and politics is the showing of partiality, toward certain persons or groups. One of the ways to destroy teamwork and cooperation is to subjectively judge people rather than objectively judge them on the merits of their abilities.
Parents who treat their children different for no reason run the risk of causing a spirit of hostility which could lead to major family problems. One of the most difficult challenges for a child to overcome is the sting of being treated unfairly by their parents. The mistreatment of children sometimes leaves scars that remain a life time.

Successful people are usually goal oriented. Dr. Martin Luther King was a goal oriented person, he had a specific goal and some clearly defined objectives and a solid action plan to achieve his goal. He was not afraid of listening to different ideas of men and women who were accomplished in their right. He surrounded himself with strong capable associates.

Act on your dreams build positive relationships with others
We live in a time when many people fail to achieve their goals and objectives because they are prisoners within their own minds. Nelson Mandela the great South African leader spent twenty seven years in prison due to a corrupt apartheid legal system. He was physically in prison but he was mentally free because freedom is a state of mind.
Mr. Mandela endured the humiliation of being penned up like an animal with little hope of being freed. His movement was restricted and his options were few. He could have easily given up and escaped into a world of depression and despair but he did not.

Unnecessary Gossip destroys lives
We are living in a time when many men and women are caught up in a web of lies and half truths. Gossip magazines have become major enterprises because the appetite for vicious rumors and half truths is at a fever pitch. Bad news has become a psychological drug for many people. Some people actually experience a feeling of euphoria when they read or share vicious gossip or rumors about others.

You got to have heart

You got to have heart to find out what will make you a successful person
In the 1960s, a leading sports commentator spoke these piercing words about the 26-mile marathon race.
He said, “There are many things that can break the body, a tragic wreck, a prolonged illness, a natural disaster.

But the marathon breaks the heart.”
Courage is synonymous with the heart because the heart is the center of life. The Bible says it is from the heart

that precedes all thoughts of envy and strife. Negative and positive thoughts originate in the heart.
The Tin Man in the classic “Wizard of Oz” story was void of courage because he did not have a heart.

Happiness

In today’s fast pace world there is an over emphasis on material possessions. A desire to keep up with Joneses is a national obsession for many men, women, boys and girls.

Some people are convinced that their neighbors and friends are blessed with an abundance of material possessions and they desire to possess the same level of materialism. They fail to realize that some people are in debt and have no idea how they will maintain a pseudo delusion of wealth acquired by high interests credit cards.
