90 Minuten Einflugschneise in einem Foto

Der Fotograf Bryon Darby lebt in der Einflugscheneise des Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport und hat dort 90 Minuten lang jedes landende Flugzeug fotogrfiert und dann alle Aufnahmen zu einem einzelnen Bild zusammenmontiert.

I photographed Seventy Flights in Ninety Minutes from the top of Hayden Butte in Tempe, Arizona. The publicly accessible volcanic butte is just beyond the airport and is straddled by Sky Harbor’s two busiest flight paths. For 90 minutes, I photographed every airplane that flew overhead, and then I digitally stitched together the many individual photographs. I hoped to re-create the experience of living in a flight path by compressing an hour and a half into one apparently single moment.

Sub City – A Visual Poem

Einige kennen ihn bestimmt, den Moment, wenn man eine neue Stadt mit der Metro erkundet. Man begiebt sich in die Station, steigt in die nächste Bahn, fährt durch ein unterirdisches Labyrinth um irgendwo anders in eine neue, bis dahin unbekannte, Welt einzutauchen. Die Kurzfilmserie Sub City ist eine kleine Hommage an diese magischen Momente und zeigt in schönen Bildern, wie toll dieser Augenblick in Paris und New York ist.

Urbanes Klettern in Russland

Da wird mir schon vom Zusehen ganz anders. Irgendwie scheinen die Kids in Russland Spass daran gefunden zu haben ohne Sicherung auf Brücken, Antennenmasten und Häuser zu klettern um sich dabei zu filmen und ihre 15 Minuten Ruhm bei Youtube zu bekommen. Kleines Detail am Rande: der eine Typ, im letzten Video, klettert die Brücke in Flip-Flops hoch. WTF?
