It seems to me that for years, the Democrat leadership has pushed for big government in terms of both government spending, and government control over the people via welfare/entitlements/legal restrictions; and the Republican leadership has put the brakes on that just enough to get the votes of conservatives, and not a bit more. In effect, the leadership of both parties has been pro-big-government for decades.

Total Spending US 1800-2012

Now that we're dealing with multi-trillion dollar national debt, the people seem to want a more sound national fiscal policy.

IBOPE Zogby National Debt Poll: Majority Prefer Cuts Over Revenue Increases

July 2011

UTICA, NY - Nine in 10 voters say it is important for Congress and President Barack Obama to reduce the nation’s long-term debt, and a majority prefer spending cuts over increased revenues as the means of accomplishing that goal, a new IBOPE Zogby Interactive poll finds

But with decades of big government spending supported by leadership of both parties, there appears to be no candidate with sufficient standing to run, who can be relied on to seek such a policy. It may take several election cycles to get such a candidate into office and to get party leadership in either party, who supports such a policy.

In the meantime, Romney has some advantages:

He loves capitalism.

He wants to add jobs.

He claims he wants to eliminate Obamacare. (We need to keep up the pressure on him to do so. This goal must be accomplished.).

He wants to control the border.

He's religious (I'd rather his religion were a more traditional form of Christianity, but it's still a form of Christianity).

And we have got to get Obama out …

In November, 2009, an Islamic jihadist shouting "Allahu Akbar" (which means "Allah is Greatest," not "God is Great") opened fire at the Fort Hood army base, killing 8 soldiers. From Time Magazine:

"We asked him pointedly, 'Nidal, do you consider Shari'a law to transcend the Constitution of the United States?' And he said, 'Yes,' " a classmate told TIME on Monday. "We asked him if homicidal bombers were rewarded for their acts with 72 virgins in heaven and he responded, 'I've done the research — yes.' Those are comments he made in front of the class." But such statements apparently didn't trigger an inquiry. "I was astounded and went to multiple faculty and asked why he was even in the Army," the officer said. "Political correctness squelched any opportunity to confront him."

In a huge win against the political correctness that cost American lives at Fort Hood, and continues to endanger Americans, eighty-three victims of Nidal Hasan have filed lawsuits seeking $750 million in compensation from the Army, "alleging that wilful negligence enabled psychiatrist Major Nidal Hasan to carry out a terrorist attack at Fort Hood, Texas."

This political correctness that blinds Americans to the facts about Islam must end. Any reading of the Koran and the Hadith (the holy works of Islam), reveals quickly that these documents absolutely urge all Muslims to do everything they can, including violence, murder, etc., and including subversion of the targeted society from within, in order to make Shariah Law the ruling law of the land, and to make those of all other religions, as well as Athiests, second-class citizens with brutally reduced legal rights.

For more info on this, click through to read "A Brief Introduction To Islam, Using The Words Of Islamic Scholars, And Of The Islamic Holy …

From our Egyptian correspondent, Huda N. (not her real name):

My fears from an Islamic Rule in Egypt

Let me tell you about my feelings during this awful time of waiting. Waiting for whether Egypt will cross this difficulty and reach the light at the end of the tunnel or whether Islamists will rule and turn our lives upside down. I can really relate to the Jews in Germany with their anticipation during the 1930s, their fears and their despairs. Each morning I run to read the newspapers looking for good news, but all I find is that the Islamists and Muslim Brotherhood are more and more in control of the country. All parties seemed to disappear only Islamists are applying for the upcoming Parliamentary elections. The Islamic rule in Egypt seems so real now.

Last night I had a nightmare, I dreamt I was in bed in a pitch dark room with my two children in my arms, knowing that dangerous dinosaurs are on the loose looking for people to devour them. I kept looking out of the window and listening to their growling noises from far wondering was it our turn. At any time I expected them to come crashing through the window, so scared for my children. I woke up with my heart pounding, the nightmare was so real, yet I understood the meaning right away. I was so afraid of the Islamists getting hold of the government, that I imagine how my life is going to be in the few coming months. My girlfriends and I joke about how next summer we will be at the beach wearing our Hijab and swimming with the Saria (lawful) swimming suit that consists of 32 parts.

All my friends have applied for immigration whether to USA, Canada or Australia. …

From our Egyptian correspondent Huda N. (not her real name):

In a rapid escalation to the Christian prosecution in Egypt, Islamists have demolished and burning of an 80 years old church in a small village called Marinab in Aswan governorate on September 30. The mayor Moustafa Elsayed claimed that it was just a service center and not a church and that Christians did not have the proper permits for renovation. The priests of the church published the permits stating that it was a church and having the signature of the mayor in the media but still he denied. Then Christians had small demonstrations in Aswan demanding the resignation of the mayor for his falsifications. Islamists threatened that if the mayor resigned they will escalate their acts towards the government.

Christians had more protests in Cairo infornt of the Television building in Masepero on , which was met violently by the military, trying to force them to leave. Many were injuring many.

Riots then increased yesterday October 9, with more clashes with the military and police forces killing 24 and injuring 200 up till now. While mobs attacked Christian- owned businesses destroying them. This is very reminiscent of events that happened during the Mubarak regime attacks on protesters.

The Marinab events are an example of the state's penchant towards Islamists.

This problem will never be solved as long as the construction of churches in Egypt is banned, renovations are permitted with the signature of the President and restricted by humiliating and shameful conditions of not allowing bells, crosses or domes, "because those elements allegedly hurt Muslims' feelings".

Liberals who pretend to care about the oppression of others have their hypocrisy exposed when they turn a blind eye to the oppression of Christians in …

Our correspondent in Egypt, Huda N. (not her real name), reports:

Now a days all liberal parties are in hibernation within the streets of Egypt. The only active parties are the Horreya and Adala (Freedom and Justice) of the Muslim Brotherhood's party and the Nour (The light) the Salafie's party are the active ones within the poor communities of Egypt, which are the majority. All you find in television and newspapers are talks and interviews of brotherhood leaders.

Islamists have hijacked the revolution. On Friday 29th July 2011 the Islamist arranged a million protestor march ito Tahrir square. They summoned all their followers from all over Egypt. Their aim was to prove that they are the ones in control and leaders of the revolution. The cries were Islamic Islamic and we are all Osama Bin Laden, calling for the implementation of the Sharia law and establishing an Islamic state in Egypt. Many educated and cultured Egyptians protested and were very angry about it, but nothing was seriously done. It seems were are facing a difficult and dark political future.

Tomorrow Friday 9th, September 2011. the other parties and the Youth of the revolution plan a million protestor revolt to correct the path of the revolution. They have several requests among which are stopping the military trials of civilians and the alteration of the Parliamentary laws that were issued for the upcoming elections at the end of September 2011. These laws divide Egypt into sectors and allow half the number of members to be elected as a combined party lists and the other half as individual members. This will only be in favour of the Muslim Brotherhood and will not give the chance for new parties to have a role in the new Parliamentary …

Earlier this week the Muslim Brotherhood announced an alliance with another Egyption party, the Wafd party:

Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood forms coalition with liberal party

CAIRO — Egypt’s most organized and powerful Islamist movement on Monday announced it intends to join forces with one of the nation’s oldest liberal parties, presenting a formidable coalition for upcoming parliamentary elections.

The alliance would unite the Muslim Brotherhood’s Freedom and Justice Party and the Wafd Party, a liberal party established just after World War I, to run on one candidate list in the elections scheduled for September. The move is likely to be a significant boost for the Brotherhood, a well-organized political group that expects to take a third of parliament’s seats.

More than two months after a popular revolt, Egyptians now want tourists to come back to their country.

The move surprised some analysts because of the long-standing rivalry between the two groups, and likely startled some secularists and liberals.

I asked our Egyptian correspondent, Huda N. (not her real name), for what this alliance looked like from her view on the ground in Egypt. She responded:

The coalition between the Muslim brotherhood Freedom and Justice Party with the Wafd Party is a sign of fear from the brotherhood. For months now the Muslim brotherhood has been threatening that they would run for more than half the seats in the parliament, and that they would get them. But lately they have sensed that their assets in the streets are decreasing, and they have heard that most liberal parties are going to form coalitions together and run for parliament in a fixed list to be able to face the brotherhood. That’s why they have changed their policies and won’t run as individuals. The coalition with the Wafd is going to give …

I asked our correspondent in Egypt, Huda N. (not her real name), "What do you see regarding the upcoming election? Are there any non-Muslim-Brotherood candidates yet who are getting public attention?" She responded:

Before 25th Jan, 2011 there were 24 dummy parties. These parties were called paper parties as they have no voice or power for opposition, because of the lack of true democracy and the repression by the former regime. Now there are 16 new parties under establishment, 5 of these parties are related to Muslim brotherhood and fundamental Islamists (Freedom and Justice Party – (Elnahda) Renaissance Party – (Eladel) Justice Party – Social Tolerance Party – Freedom Party). These parties are sugar coated poison. They have flashing names and hidden intentions of making Egypt the start of a vast Islamic Ummah and applying the Sharia law. Some politicians fear the loyalty of these parties is to foreign countries which have foreign agendas and support international terrorist groups rather than their loyalty to Egypt. There are 4 left wing parties 3 socialists and one communist party, the rest are liberal secular parties. The most powerful competing liberal party that Muslim brotherhood fears is the Free Egyptians Party. This party is established by the famous Christian Business man Naguib Sawiris, it is supported by many cultured and liberal people.

Yesterday Friday 27th May, 2011 was called the second wrath day, were thousands flocked to the Tahrir square to insure that the revolution is still on its way to social Justice. Protestors (liberal and secular parties) were calling for postponing the parliamentary elections due in September and the legislation of a new constitution before these elections, in order to have more time to prepare. The Muslim brotherhood boycotted the riot for two reasons, the first reason is that …

Our correspondent in Egypt, Huda N. (not her real name), writes:

When in 2009 Switzerland banned the construction of minarets, the prayer tower of mosques, the Muslims in Switzerland protested in anger accusing the Swiss of being racists. These Muslims were not of the original populace of the country but mostly Muslim immigrants.

On the other hand while we the original Egyptians request the reopening of 22 closed churches, Muslim fundamentalist protested on that. Although a promise was made by the Military council to re-open one in particular in Ein Shams in Cairo, the Muslims of the area did not allow the prayer last Friday morning and prevented the priest and Christians from entering into the church.

A conciliation meeting was done, Muslims would allow the reopening of the church on the condition of banning the building of a dome and steeple carrying crosses. Condemned by their own mouth they have indicted themselves as racists. It is a sign of double standards of how they apply different sets of standards to the same situation.

Have you ever wondered why Muslims destroy churches and attack non-Muslims in so many Muslim-ruled countries? The answer is very easy: it's because it is an explicit part of their religion to do so. If you are reading this and saying to yourself, "That can't be - Islam is a religion. All religions are about peace and love and understanding," guess again. Islam is not a religion of peace and love and understanding. Does that sound harsh? Want to know what happens if you show a Bible to somebody in Saudi Arabia? A world of hurt. Does that sound like a religion of peace?
Our correspondent in Egypt, Huda N. (not her real name), emails the following update:

It seems with the 25th January revolution we have opened the gates of hell on ourselves. The serial of Christian killing is still going on and the government sees no evil, and hears no evil.

On Saturday 14th May, two people fired guns at the peaceful Christian Protestors gathered infront of Television building in Mespiro Cairo whom were later joined by others who started throwing Molotov bombs in addition to the shooting. The assault resulted in 78 wounded and the burning of 12 cars. The shooting took place from bridge near by. The police were very late in coming to protect Christian protestors (5 hours) which raises a lot of question marks.

Hundreds of pro-Palestinian protesters gathered infront of the Israeli Embassy in Cairo yesterday Sunday 15th May to support the occasion of the 63rd anniversary of the creation of the State of Israel. The protestors tried to crash into the Embassy in an attempt to remove the Israeli flag from the top of the building. Policemen used tear gases against the protestors and tried to disperse them wounding 353 people.

This is just a taste of what is to come if the Muslim Brotherhood win majority of seats in the next Parliamentary elections in September. So God be with us.

US mainstream media ignores these murderous atrocities committed by Muslims against Christians.
