Big Seminar Los Angeles 2005 Hotel Information (and Discounted Rates!)

I just got off the line with Hilton Reservations to book my room for Big Seminar Los Angeles (November 4-6, Hilton LAX).

They have the Big Seminar rate in their computers. $109 a night, not a bad deal.

However, ... I did some snooping.

Hilton.com has an Internet only rate of $89 for Thursday night and $79 for Friday and Saturday night. You have to pay up front, and THERE ARE NO REFUNDS but if you know you're going, here's a great way to save more than $100 over the course of the weekend.

Just thought you'd want to know.

2. eBay as product development (you had to be there).

3. Buying Web businesses off of eBay and fixing them up (a bit) and reselling (for a LOT MORE).

Wow, ...

I had read the book and was "worried" it might be little more than a rehash of his book.

I was wrong.

First of all - incredible speaker. Of all the classes I might be taking from this guy in the future, his train the trainer series is at the top of my list.

My biggest takeway? I'm where I'm at financially because it's where I've set myself to be at financially. I've never purposely sabotaged my own efforts (as many have) but I have set some silly limits on what I can do based on, really nothing.

The ceiling has been broken and, say it with me "I have a millionaire mind!"

(I guess you had to be there)

He offered a 3 part strategy that we all should follow -

Strategize - Obvious. We need to think these things out.
Monetize - Always good. If we can't make a revenue stream from our ideas, what good are they?
Residualize - Here's the difference. Why make it work once if you can make it work over and over again?

He launched the AM2 Gold Program. That's his latest residualization (hey, he makes up terms and so can I). And he gave the audience models for them to launch their own.

Mike Stewart, as always, was a joy to watch. He may be my business partner in the PremiumPodcasting.com project but I still learn stuff from this guy every day.

It was a 3 point outline, as all the good ones are.

1. With the right tools and right knowledge, you can quickly create great sounding audio content.

2. Video content requires slightly more expensive tools - but the results are incredible as well. Mike showed us some examples of some Web infomercials that will lead a new pack of direct response marketers.

3. And, of course, the PremiumPodcasting launch showed us all that we CAN charge for content online using this fascinating paradigm.

What I learned -

"Opp Hopping" - Jumping from one opportunity to another with no real long term goal. I see way way too much of that on the Internet (and, sadly sometimes in my own actions). Thanks for the warning Stephen!

"A.I.E.T.A" - Awareness - Interest - Evaluation - Trial - Adoption. Simple model for looking at the entire purchasing process. I'll be putting some of my programs through this process.

Stephen has always been the one for making the most out of what you have. Can you tell he's spent good time with Jay Abraham?
