I'm finally 21!

Anyway I'm blogging this on the 18th of feb. Too busy to even touch mu blog recently and there are too many things happening that I don't even know where to start blogging from. Oh wells, lemme blog about my birthday as simple as I could remember.

I celebrated my birthday with a whole full day of eating. Brunch, dinner and supper and what we did inbetween is just to stroll around waiting for the next meal to arrive :D It was a foodful day :D

The day started off with a rather gloomy sky and the clouds were seen to be covering the top parts of buildings. Like genting in sg :D

So first stop, Club Street Social. Sy was trying to surprise me with the first food place but when he keyed in the address into the GPS, I already knew ;)

So that's for brunch, too late for breakfast, so breakfast for lunch :D We keep having brunch too frequently.

Next stop, dinner. Hate it that my birthday is on new year's eve and all the dinners are so ex, so not worth it. Novus Restaurat & Bar at the Museum, never would I have thought that he'll bring me here :) Was totally in love with the high ceilings but for club street and this. Have no idea what the food are called so just, Pics :D

Supper and for Countdown! Didn't know where to go so last minute hopped into P.s Cafe just 10mins before 12midnight. Was rather full from our dinner so we just had drinks they had lots of free snacks for us :D

So that's all for my 21st :D

I can officially go into casinos but I always forget that.

First few moments of being 21 with MTLs

The first ever MTL get together was on my birthday when this group of awesome people suddenly appeared at my house after midnight. They didn't wanna make it so obvious and appear at exactly midnight so they wait half an hour :D How sweet right.

I honestly thought nobody was gonna count down to my birthday with me as everyone was tired and gonna sleep. And I thought I would be spending my first few moments being 21, opening presents which I've waited till midnight to open and maybe reply FB wishes. But who knew, when I was opening my presents half way, this group shocked me by singing the birthday song damn loudly outside my house even before them being seen. SO shocked and surprised :D I think this was the most successful surprise like ever, as most of the time I would be able to sense something but not this time :D

They hanged around till almost 4am before going home even though some of them had army or stuff to do the next day. I cannot think of a better way to spend that first few moments ;D So much joy and loud laughter :D

My 21st Birthday, finally...

My 21st Birthday have been the day I've always been looking forward to. Planning it since I was 19 and booking the room even before my 20th birthday. My life kinda revolved around that day and dieting and all that just for it(I lost 10kg since my heaviest #justsaying). Now that it's over, I feel rather empty and nothing much for me to look forward to.

Supposedly Vintage Classic Themed which only a few dressed accordingly.

Took me some time to finish designing the invitation card, though I only gave out a few, to those whom I've met after the card was done and before my birthday :D It was so cute, with the size smaller than the average namecard :D

Although it was a very fun and memorable day for me, It would be the first and last time I celebrate my birthday like this again, too many cliques together makes it hard for me to entertain everyone, it's hard... Nonetheless, I hope everyone had fun and had the time to just chill at the balcony with the awesome view. Though there wasn't stars that night, it was good enough for me that it didn't rain :D

Planned to reach the hotel at 12pm but ended up preparing by 12pm and reaching at 2pm. Leaving me not enough time to just relax and enjoy some alone time. Started out rushing to prepare the props and food and decos and soon enough, people started coming in.

The day started with rather gloomy skies with signs of rain and some of them got stranded at the MRT station and I didn't have time to go over to fetch them. It was such a busy busy day. I really wish I had the time to just slow down and let people come to me instead. Oh wells. Thank god the rain stopped and with every one coming in, even more came! I didn't have the time to really talk to each and every one of them and I felt damn guilty over it. Hope everyone forgives me for that seeing that it's my birthday? Special girl gets special treatment right? :D

I really wanna thank kaili and shiyi for being there early to help out, if not for them, I would be in such a chaotic state. And all the people who helped me prepare the food and collecting the,=m, I know who you are :D Oh ya, we missed the complimentary food provided at the lounge as we totally forgot about it.

Overall, it was such an enjoyable day seeing everyone that came with so much smiles wherever I turned and I just kept taking photos after photos :D Let the tons of photos begin!

Some of them were late and some left early, so I decided not to wait anymore and do the cake cutting before the sun set~ It was such an ideal time for photos, with such awesome backdrop and not too bright nor too dark.

Have always been fearing this moment where I had to stand in the center with all eyes on me, with no idea what to do while the birthday song is sang and not wanting the candles to go out before I even blow it. But everything went perfectly, I couldn't ask for anything more :)

Oh ya, anyways, I designed my own birthday cake! Loved it, other than the "Happy Edwiana Birthday" Who says that? Oh well, made it even more unique that way :D

Freshly Baked

We were craving for brunch and chanced upon this place online called Freshly Baked. Not sure what it was about so decided to just go check it out and realise it's sooo hard to find parking places. It was on a weekday's lunch time and parking was hell. We had to park so far away and walk over.

When we arrived at the cafe, I somehow felt that the place wasn't worth my walking. Nothing special or unique about this cafe at all. The decos and placement of everything was almost like an old fashion hawker but smaller. I thought maybe the food would do the place good but it was just alright. Kinda disappointing after all the time taken to find a parking place. Will not ever waste time going there unless I'm around the area and have nothing to eat.

The people there aren't really friendly anyways, they were kinda fixing the fan when we were there and even have a freshly baked loaf of bread put under the fan. Imagine the dust... Eeyeww.

The food was fair. It wasn't bad nor very good. Just enough to satisfy my scrambled and bacon craving.

I think it's smoked salmon sandwich, okay la, not bad. I don't eat salmon :X

So after the brunch, I went to collect my Carlo Rino wallet that I won from some contest:D We headed to cathay and found out that I was supposed to collect it from cine. Waste time and stupid ERP... But the wallet was to my liking, be it the size or color or compartment :)

I finally have a decent wallet that people around me wouldn't complain about :D

Ending the post with a random picture of us in the car lift! HAHAHA! OKay suakus here, felt so much like being in a roller coaster but in the comfort of being in our own car :D Okay done.

Boxing Day!

Boxing day was spent quite fruitfully with so much things done and places went :D

First thing first, it was 3days before my party and I have not done my hair or nails! So I risked it and just went ahead to cut & dye my hair. For many occasion, after I dyed or cut my hair, it would cork up and the new ugly hair would piss me off for 1 week till I got used to it. But surprising this time round, everything went perfectly and I was satisfied :) Made my birthday go so smoothly, love my hairstylist!

Alot of people complimented on it and I was happy! Especially for the color where I just asked him for something non-red and doesn't make my hair look heavy and he just does it.

So after the long 2-3 hours in the Salon doing my hair, I rushed to my Mani Pedi as I was kinda late and have not eaten yet! I just got her to do whatever she thought was vintage without floras and laces and she can't think of anything. So I suggested what I like, I like black, gold and maybe suspenders and bows and here's what she did :) It was alright for the price I paid. I painted metallic gold for my feet. Feet aren't supposed to be shown to the world.

So after that had dinner and went to the Clarke Quay Ladies Night event at Arena which I never knew existed. It was a rather big place with lotsa tables and chairs. Anyway, I brought my mum along as she had something on around the same place and we had extra tixs. Cool hip mum ;)

As usual, there were food and stuff so we started eating and going to the different booth to get our stuff done and the live bamd started playing and it was SWEET! The female singer was so good and everyone seemed so professional, like foreal.

So much so much food!

Didn't get to eat the logcakes. *shygirl. Nobody started diggin in yet!

After the event ended with them keeping all the food and people outside started coming in, we decided to get out and look for my mum. She was at this KTV called party world over at liang court and we decided to wait for her but denise started getting itchy for singing and so we get a 2hrs package just for the 2 of us and they gave us a freaking big room! OMG. It can fit like 10 ++ peeps? And we were like running around and stuff, maybe it was just me cause she was in heels and refuse to take it out so I was the crazier one that night. It's been so long since I had so much fun in a ktv room other than listening to people sing emo chinese songs, we get to sing old school english songs and all happy songs except for a few emo ones that denise requested.

Got beer cause we felt like it, regretted after that...

Okay camwhores for life!

That was all for the entire day. It was tiring but damn fun-filled except for the afternoon part which I had to wait for my hair, wait for my nails, that wasn't fun.

Christmas Eve @ Lava Edge

How I celebrated my eve of Christmas 2012?

Of course I went to Church! What's christmas without christ? it's been sometime since I went to church but I would never drift as I know what he have done for me. If not for him, I wouldn't be who I am today. So it's a special day to celebrate his birth and to thank him for everything that he have done.

I didn't really plan much nor did I have a party as my birthday was coming up and I would be spending a lot, too much I think. So I didn't really get xmas gift for anyone this year except for the xmas exchange in KL.

So after church, it was already 10plus going 11 and everywhere was closing and we have not had our dinner! While other restaurants were preparing to close or when they have stopped serving food, we chanced upon this noisy restaurant place and we just headed in as we were too hungry. It was a nice place with this live band whom I saw at Beer market, they were good :D So since it seemed like a very good environment, we decided to settle and order our food at this packed place.

At beer market, they had more members in this band. But they were still good, just the 2 of them~

Four Cheese Pizza, I think.

We ordered too much and couldn't finish it at all. The fish &chips was so so only, not as fantastic as anywhere else. Pizza, was too skinny and cheese that it kinda sicken me after the second piece. In conclusion, I only liked the truffle fries there. It's only a like as it's just normal nice and not nice nice, if you know what I mean.

So after awhile, after the live band finished their set, they started playing games and winning champagnes. Kinda weird seeing at a place like this. Wait, there's more! After that, the lights started going out, the seats get pushed aside and 90s club songs started playing and ligts started flashing like some 90s disco place! & It was midnight! Like wow. Never expected this at all. It was like going back in time and going to my mum's generation's disco. Kinda cool and surprises my mum that I know all the songs that played :D

It was so weird seeing kids as young as 5yrs of age and my mum in a place like this, transformed from a very normal pub/restaurant place to a disco? Fine, I'll give it to them since I had fun as the music was good :D

Bangkok Jam

For Xmas eve lunch, right after the day I came back from KL, I had Bankok Jam with my mum.

Have always wanted to check out this place whenever I came great world but was always rushing to packet lunch. Been hearing lots of good raving that this place serve very good thai food and at last, I got to try it. I went after the lunch hour so the place was rather empty.

Everyone around me have been going Bangkok and coming back so many times and saying how good that place is and blah blah, but I've never been there even once! What more, I don't really look forward to shopping at bangkok, maybe cause I've never been there, but I really wanna go ride the elephants, touch tigers and check out their weird stuff. I heard thay have this zoo like place where they display people instead :/

So this is like the closest I've been to relate to Bangkok. Well, I love un-spicy thai food :D Thai food is not all about pineapple rice okay! Well, that was all I thought about when I was first introduced to thai food, PINEAPPLE RICE! Muahaha.

3 Flavour Noodle Crisps with Shrimps

I forgot what this dish is, but it's something like popiah & I didn't like it at all. Just weird.

My fav was the 3 flavor noodle crisps! But eating too much of it was a lil sickening. So what I did was to mix it was the seafood phad thai with is not so flavorful and make it blend. I tell you, it was awesome. I don't usually mix food stuff together, but this combination was soooo good ;D

End of the world with BCDE @ KL'12

I've been to KL so many times but the first time I've ever felt happy yet scared at the same time.

You may find me ignorant but I was kinda afraid of the End of the word thing coming true. When we first organized this trip, I did not realize that it fell on the exact same day as the Mayan prediction date. Until when the day is coming and people were making a big deal out of it then I realized. Initially I did think of staying in SG as I would rather be safe than sorry and to spend my last few moments with the people I loved but NASA and lots of reliable sources assured me that nothing was gonna happen so I decided to just go.

And if the world would to end, I'd be in Malaysia, with this group of people. It wasn't a bad thing but have never expected them to be the "last few moments" peeps.

So anyway, we had a rather long bus ride over to KL as we took the peak period bus on a friday evening of 5.30pm? I think we reached our hotel near midnight but was very amazed with our rooms! When diana & I first entered the room , we were like screaming little girls going into a candy palace. We WERE that exaggerating. Denise just went straight to the toilet and do her makeup. The toilet was humongous too! The 3 of us could be in the toilet at the same time doing our stuff and not even be in each other's way.

After cleaning up and everything, everyone got pretty hungry so we walked around and decided on this road hawker place with lots of food varieties. Was totally in love with my prata especially when I asked for sugar and they gave me those that they put on tissue prata ^^

Since it was past midnight and no more shops were open, we decided to go back to the hotel and just Hang~ But before that, we went to check out the swimming pool and realized that it was actually a pub/bar/club surrounding the swimming pool! Awesome place to hold an event or what!

While at the top, we saw an alien spaceship like thing floating in the air and we were so afraid t was the end of the world sign & thinking it would explode from there. But soon I asked some guy and he said that it was genting highlands -________- Okay. No photos for evidence as it was too blur . No shits here man.

Next morning, we headed out immediately as the girls were awoken by the call from the guys that they were ready and that we just woke up :D The only day to shop before heading back to SG the next day. It was a freaking tiring day especially when we stopped shopping before the sun even set and went back to the hotel.

First breakfast in KL, KFC. As if we don't have that in SG. I've not eaten KFC in SG before though. Not sure if they have the same stuff. But what was memorable was when this KFC dude gave us an extra burger like for the 2nd time, we decided to give it to the beggar sitting outside Macdonalds. He looked rather disappointed though, cause he sat outside Macs and we gave him KFC. But it's still food leh!

Free IceCream!

So we decided to do this Secret Santa thing instead of just normal Xmas gift xchange as Xmas was coming. So we each have to pick a roll of paper and see who we got for gift exchange! The fun part was instead of mindlessly shopping for our own stuff, we get to think of what our secret receiver would like which make the trip even more exciting :D We shopped so much and got so tired that we ate at Sakae Sushi, to think we would eat something malaysian for a change. WRONG. We finally got our gifts after many malls and lots of walking and being separated from the guys so the secret would remain a secret.

The guys got to do their long awaited massage while the girls were having their sakae~ Actually we didn't get much stuff and heard the guys didn't get anything at all and if not for the Project SS _Secret Santa), it would probably be a very boring trip. Not for denise though, she went into almost every single shop and got lots of stuff that her empty luggage could almost not close by the end of the trip.

Secret Santa Time!

The long awaited time of the entire trip, for me at least. we headed to our room to wrap the presents and presented our gifts soon after they came and made each of us guess who our secret santa was. Honestly, this is my first ever secret santa, so it was so much more exciting to me. All of us spent above our supposed budget and that shows how NOT NIAO we all are :D So coincidentally, den & I was each other's secret santa, I honestly did not even think 1 bit that he would be my SS as I thought that it wouldn't be so QIAO but it is! So it goes like this, Denise bought for Ben, Ben bought for Diana, Diana bought for Clarence and Clarence bought for Denise.

All of us girls got clothes for the guys hoping they'd wear it to zouk later that night. But later found out that the shirt was way too big for clar and den that we had to go change the size the next day.

My present kinda had a clue on it's wrapper already. It went like HOHOHO. And the stupid me didn't get the clue. Not sure if it was on purpose or a happy coincidence :D Can still remember them saying my gift was the easiest to buy but they took the longest time!

Oh yes, food time! Clar decided to book his scrambled and denise, her campbell soup and our cider and longans for dessert :D

off to ZOUK!

Thanks to valerie's bf, we got to go in via his guestlist and check out Zouk kl :D The club was rather big with lots of sections with phuture being one of the better one in the building. The music played along with the MTV and the songs were awesome. But the thing was, they allowed smoking inside the club and we kinda couldn't take the small so we went to the rooftop to chill. If it wasn't for the smoke, we could have stayed there for the whole night :D

Lok lok

I think it was lok lok if I'm not wrong. It goes by this trust system where you just cook and eat whatever you want and pay when you're done. The system really made us eat alot. Initially we just wanted to try 1 or 2 and we had many sticks in the end man.

& we cabbed to some seafood place but I didn't feel like eating at all :/

So denise and I got more cide for the night in which we wasn't able to finish and had to drink it in the morning :D

The next day, we went to get the wrong sized clothes changed & prepare for our long journey back, which indeed was a long one with all the jams and stuff and reached SG like 8hours later.

But while waiting for the bus, I wanted something for everyone to remember the trip with. So we got bottles and wrote messages/ the good and bad points of the person and put it into the bottle and it was all Anonymous :D And someone wrote to denise, MAI TU LIAO and didn't wanna admit and it was how our group name came about :)

It was a long but fun trip back as it was a very weird hour to sleep in, half way down the trip, they started playing games. Some of it was plain cruel.

Ed's 21st & Prawning after :D

It was the other ed's 21st and he held it at the marina barrage's cafe. Honestly, I didn't even know this cafe existed. After so many times I've been there and now then I find out about this cafe : D

It was a very blue day with so many people coincidentally wearing blue like some theme but nope :D Anyways, edwin booked the entire gallery cafe and it was huge! There were enough spaces for us to play hide and seek and still win. Should have thought of it earlier man.

When they said marina barrage, I expected an outdoor cafe or something casual that's why I wore what I wore. But kinda regretted when I saw how the rest dressed. Anyway, love my owl shirt! Look into owl eyes ;)

This plate was made from corn! So fascinated. Wanted to try though, but taste nothing like corn.

So after the party, Ed and some of them went to club and the rest of us who are super guai or who are wearing shorts, decided to be a good kid and go prawning. Non of us are prawners and I didn't know that until when we were there and it took us longer to take the hook out of the prawn than actually catching one.

Diana, desmond and I headed over first while the rest either went home to change or just followed the car around. Thank god I can foresee the future and dressed for it and didn't need to go home. So the two Ds had really bad luck for awhile and didn't catch any until I took over and I caught 2! Super excited as I've prawned like twice and caught NONE. But this time I caught 2 tiny ones which you can find in the supermarket for less than 1buck each. They were so tiny that I even dared to catch it. Balls of steel for prawns :D So when the rest came, lots happened like people seeing us so noob and helped us, gave us their worms for bait and even gave us their loot of prawns! Maybe they thought we wouldn't be able to catch much. But true that, if they didn't give us their prawns, we would only be having over 20? but with the help of the uncle's loot, we had 41prawns in our nets :D Not bad for 8 people ;) hear the sarcasm. Though we were all tired towards the end, it was fun and even wanted to continue if it wasn't already 4am.

WRECK-IT RALPH!

Ever since the trailer of wreck-it-ralph came out, I already knew I wanna watch it! It seems so cool with all the characters of the games and this lil girl bringing a touch of cuteness to the entire movie. With all the colors and excitement of the trailer, I can forsee it being a rather awesome movie! I can't wait to catch it when it comes to the cinema :D

Totally reminds me of my younger days when I go to the arcade everyday after school. Wouldn't be able to imagine if all these were like real!

All the characters in the show's damn familiar but I just couldn't make out what the name of the game they're in, but if I were to choose a fav, I would of course choose sonic! Like duh. Sonic the hedgehog was like a childhood game I grew up with, will never get bored of it, like ever! & it's in the movie of WRECK-IT RALPH! :D

Movie Synopsis

Prive @ Keppel Bay

After Fred Perry's 60th Anniversary Party, we headed to Prive for our dinner & it was such a nice place with a very romantic atmosphere. Sitting right infront of the yachts with blue lights lining the bridge and candles, ideal for a romantic first date to impression the other person. Only thing is, there's no public transport into keppel bay, not that I know of.

Suppose to be blue, WB made it purple but still okay~ :D

It started off being a nice night with our seat having the right lighting for me to take photos but half way through even before we get to order, it started to drizzle and we were moved in. The lighting at our new spot was so bad, I got so irritated with every photo I took.

Actually this chix dish came with mustard or something so I insisted on changing it to truffle mayo instead as I don't eat mustard and it was the best move I've made so far that night. It was heavenly and I fell in love with it. TRUFFLE MAYO<3 br="br">

That side dish was so bad but truffle mayo saved the dish!

Fred Perry's 60th Anniversary Party

To be honest, Fred Perry's 60th Anniversary party is one of the funner events I've went to. It has everything a party needs. A photobooth, not a very good quality one though, but still alright. Games stations where we have to finish all the games before we get our sure win lucky draw which shiyi won a freaking blackberry, that's a story for later. Cool stations selling awesome stuff like vintages goodies and just very cool stuff and booths selling food from ice cream to burgers to coffee :D Free beer even! Last but not least, live bands and it's all situated at the very lovely and big area of tanjong pagar railway station :) What so not cool about this event? I can't think of any, really. Other than a lil bit of drizzle, it was a perfect weather for the event :D

It was a very fun day with us trying our very best to get all the chops from the booths. Oh ya! And caricature! I must really thank the guy at the station ;)

Games time! We spent so much time here as we couldn't really pass a few stations and we were very impressed how we managed to finish the twister station since both us girls are wearing skirts :D

Ean's 2nd Birthday

It's Ean's 2nd Birthday! It seems to be just yesterday when I attended his first birthday. I still cannot believe I'm already an auntie and my oldest nephew is now taller than me. When I saw him I was like "WTH happened to you!" He's like only 13yrs old and freaking taller than me. What do kids nowadays eat? Seriously.

I keep getting them to call me jie jie but my cousins keep insisting that they call me yiyi. That's why now they're rather confuse and never really call me. HAH.

Jimmy Monkey Cafe

Jimmy Monkey has been one of the cafe's that I've always wanted to go check out from pictures I saw showing their high ceilings. Yep, that's the main reason it tempted me so much to go and heard that it's one of the fav hangout of one of the food blogger :D

This can be said to be one of the hardest cafe to find. We used the GPS and it lead us to a patch of grass and we took many rounds yet we still can't find it. It indeed is a hidden gem, well hidden alright. We didn't want to give up since we drove all the way there and somehow I saw a post on hungrygowhere in which someone said that we had to park at a private carpark under One-north residence and took a turn into some lane and finally found the carpark. It was holyshit hard to find.

It's like in the middle of nowhere and no shops around it was open. However with all the peace around, it was a nice place to just chill :D Reviews online said that they had rather bad service but they were alright to me. They kinda treated customers like friends and they were rather friendly :D One instance, not sure if it was good or bad but as I was eating the chicken, I was wondering why the chicken had so much fats in it despite having the outer layer tender and tasty and even had 2 mouth full before realizing that it wasn't fats but the inside of the meat was kinda bloody raw. However they were rather apologetic and made a new plate for us and even said that our lava cake was on them. I didn't feel much then but to come to think of it, I was eating 2 mouth full of bacteria :( I would go back for breakfast in future but no more chicken for me there.

Look at the high ceilings! I'm in love man. Especially the part with the toilet bowl above our head :D

Flesh Imp 12th Anniversary Party

Won tix to flesh imp's 12th Anniversary Party @ Velvet Underground and brought denise along :D But before that, we rushed to catch Ah boys to Men since the both of us have yet to watch it. It was a very last minute decision and kinda rushed ourselves through before reaching the cinema, missing some of the beginning parts. The show was okay only, kinda sad why they must have a part 2 to it. If they were to finish the whole thing in one movie, it'll be pretty awesome.

After the movie, we kinda rushed down to zouk. After a very long queue and reaching the entrance then we realize that we didn't have to queue as we were on the guestlist. Wasted like 20mins man... We did ask if we needed to queue and they said yes! :(

They had some pretty wicked x-mini speaker designs up for judging and I had some fav in mind :D

And one of the mutton was like, you sure you wanna sabo her, she looks like she will kick your hat to the other side of the room uh. Something like that :D It was all fun and games!

Elle's Ladies Night & Elin Kling's Fashion Show

What a wednesday night. Hays got tix to elle's Ladies night at Tongkang Colonial Bar and Restaurant. It was this boat restaurant at Clarke Quay that I've always been wanting to go check out and we finally had the chance to! It was quite a rainy night and thank god the boat wasn't really moving or my motion sickness would surely kick in. However, whenever a boat passes by, the boat would sway a lil.It was overall a very romantic event for us just chilling and drinking like bosses at the end of the boat waiting for a "never gonna sail away in the sunset" boat.

It was kinda a small place with not many people invited which made it just nice. Do not have to squeeze and stuff. I love how they build the ambiance with this guy playing the saxophone of all the songs I love :D There were booths for manicure, hannah, kachamputeh and even palm reading. The palm reading was rather spot on, not bad~ There were even waiters going around serving us, so we can save the trouble of walking around to get our own food and drinks :D

Love this panna cotta! First time ever hearing it and I loved it already. But the waiter didn't bring me more despite showing so many liking to it. tsk tsk. And I see the table next to us taking so many panna cotta! Holy. Was told to try the one at Antoinette but nope, not hearing it from him~

After the event, we were so hardworking that we decided to walk all the way from clarke quay to avalon for Elin Kling's fashion show. Stupidly thought that it was near but as the walk proceeded with our very high(as in near drunk but not drunk just high stage) self, we found out that it was a rather long walk. Should have taken the train instead. And after the very long crazy walk and nearing avalon, hays realise she forgot to take her umbrella on the boat. Like seriously, I cannot imagine if it poured during our walk. Wanted to cab back to get it but decided to forget it and even the waiter didn't see it. So too bad for the girl :D

Hays kept insisting that it was The fullerton Hays -___- okay.

We reached avalon rather early so hanged around and got some drinks and denise decided to join us! The more the merrier! :D Each of us got like 5 drinks and like 15 in total. Killed. The Fashion Show was okay, the clothes were all pretty common.

Got invited by OMY to catch the ending of twilight. I've only watched the very first one with J and I think she kinda got irritated explaining the movie to me as I did not get it at all. What more, I'm totally not a fan of romance shows, especially those with intimate scenes... Though I don't understand the movie at all, I know the whiter people are vampires and the not so white one should be either werewolf or human. Sooooo throughout the whole ending of twilight, as usual, I kept asking denise alot of questions and kinda thank god she was with me or else I would totally be soooo lost. Despite not watching any of the twilight middle movies, it was a very nice ending though the beginning was boring. I love endings that I don't expect and this indeed did make me like the ending ;D

Have never expected myself to even watch twilight at the theatre but I did and it was at this new GV aka Golden Village at City Square! City square is at farrer park mrt and not the one in JB if you didn't know. It's a place where I go hangout with the DEDs and it was such a nice place to chill. Now with this new cinema, I'd totally know where to go when I wanna watch a movie ;) Going up the escalator to level 5 leads us straight to the ticket booth which really tempted me to get popcorn and which I did in the end get it.

Their ticket was unusually bigger than usual but I guess it's better for the environment since they dont have to tear half of it away for them to throw~

The entrance to the cinema was somehow different from the rest. It's outside and I could see all the theatres just by standing where I was. Looked pretty class though :D

We were damn early to go in as we had nothing to do and nearly ate finish half of our popcorns before the movie even started. Anyways, I love the music that they played before the adverts start :D Mini jazz session before the excitements :D The seats in the theatre was damn awesome, no one blocked my view at all and the seats were so soft and comfy.

Adverts for the new GV at City Square was like everywhere, go check it out man. They still have the new cinema smell, I like :D I saw this advert saying something like book early and pay less ;) heh heh.. And I heard there's this Couple Cinema thing which features a unique seating layout where pairs of cinema seats are separated from one another, allowing couples to cosy-up in their private space. Shall totally check that out soon :D

Was sick the entire night before with high fever of 39.7 and was so afraid I couldn't make it the very last min. But still managed to drag myself there and float back somehow ;D So happy with myself.

Initially wanted to go basement but closed, strictly pancakes but full. So since there's this new cafe around the corner, we hall check it out! It was a nice cosy cafe up the stairs of a game place which the name I forgot. OMG. The place wasn't that bad but had very little customers, so we had alot of space to like hang around. However the seats were very sunken in and I had to someone eat with the table near my chin.

Kaili's Crazy 17 Hours 21st!

As usual, for kaili' birthday, the same phrase always pops out.
"Oh, The things we do for Kaili". yep, that's what we said both last year and this year. After what we did last year, I don't think we could ever beat that so we let the birthday girl choose where she wanted to eat and do for the day.

So we watched skyfall and after that went to skyloft for our dinner ;D It was such a pleasant night though it rained before dinner and made us kind run under the rain to our dinner destination cause we "guys" don't bring umbrellas.It was a nice cosy resturant for a princess' birthday :D

After our atas dinner inside, thank god the rain stopped and we headed out to have our nice live band session :D And as we sat outside, there was this fireworks thing coming from the "song of the sea" and we could kinda see the entire show from up there and those surprising fireworks that shocked us good man(me, at least)..

Every birthday dinner would have a surprise cake no? So kinda surprise cake arrived with live bands playing at the background, sweet :D With epic expressions from them not wanting the fire to go off, while I just continued shooting their epicness!

Okay la, he's not that gay. Just imitating some girl which I helped take photo for :D

Oh, I forgot to mention, tonight's a Leonid moon free night with high possibility of catching shooting stars. I was kinda doubting the weather since it was raining the afternoon till night and it was kinda cloudy when we were having our outdoor session. But the cloud kinda cleared mysteriously towards the end of our night so we decided to go catch some shooting stars!

It was so awesome how most of them just agreed without much thoughts, again, the things we do for kaili :D We all went home and changed into overnight outfits and grabbed whatever is needed and headed to ECP where I've been before as it was near a mama shop and toilet! However, it was filled with suspicious tents around and banglas playing frisbee in the middle of the night! It was hella noisy but kinda settled down after awhile. I was soooo afraid the frisbee would hit me in the face....

The night was long and we kinda tried not to wake the people sleeping around in the tents until I saw a shooting star and shouted really loudly! Giving dennis a mini heart attack again. HAH! But I swear I saw it but no one believed me! Not even the 2nd one which I saw! Whatever, I know I saw it. And when the rest saw, I didn't wanna believe in theirs this time. Only kaili didn't catch it as she was sleeping like majority of the time unless I shouted and then she woke up for a lil while and knocked off.

They kept asking if I made a wish when I saw a shooting star, but I was so busy shouting and being excited that I forgot, even after the second time. They used my shootingstar wishes though they didn't see mine lo...

Managed to catch the sunrise since we're already there the whole night and though we didn't really see the sun itself, it was a very beautiful sky. Oh ya, there were lightnings throughout the night but that didn't stop us~ Just hoping it wouldn't struck the trees beside us and fall on our face...

You can roughly see the orion star from the picture above and also the shopping cart star which is also called the dog and we also saw the rabbit... Kinda argued about the stars the entire night with den how the star can be called the dog and not the shopping cart. Thats stupid. Towards the later time of the night, there were more stars in the shopping cart star which makes alot of sense from all the groceries, no?

Affordable Art Fair

Before going to the AAF, We didn't have much time but dinner must still be taken! So for our cravings for rosti, my craving, we went to medz(again for me). But first time for hays! It was nice and we couldn't finish our food as usual. We are so greedy omg. Everything also wanna eat...

The "hungry yet cannot touch the food until I take pictures" turts :D

The Affordable Art Fair was the fair I was looking forward to go ever since their adverts came out everywhere! Least did I know till the Fair day itself that everything advert related was designed and was done by Liz! Like, wow. Hays brought me along cause she had the invites for the first night and I saw the book hays designed like another Wow! What have I done since the day I graduated mannn. Goodness me.Time to reflect on your progress in life, Ed.

It was a pretty hard to find club and I have honestly not heard of it nor have anyone of my friends mention about going there before so I was damn curious to check it out :D
Had dinner at habourfront with denise before heading over and the 2 dumb us thought we could go to the bay station from habourfront but we were wrong, so wrong... & we were kinda early, spending time in the toilet singing and whatever.

Ate at the Central of habourfront. we were so choosy about our seats and took damn long to decide and eat pur food that we were the last to leave the place. Awkward......

And off we went to pangeae and their logo looks about like another word. Kaili came soon after with her friends and nicole whom I have not seen nor catchup with in the longest time! Since primary school :D

The club was filled with pretty girls but there wasn't any dancefloor so we just sat around at the sofa.

Soon after I took this photos, someone tapped me on the shoulder and said I cannot take photos there as katy perry and lady gaga cames here and what if I shoot them. And I was like seriously... Did not know if he was serious or not but he seemed serious, so I just stayed bored not shooting anything.

AG-ers to Medz

Finally met the AG-ers for lunch on deepavali! Was supposed to meet to celebrate Huirong's birthday but she couldn't make it the last min. LIKE WHAT. No choice have to postpone her already very late birthday celebration to another time. We shall board games again! Muaha~

We were late to arrive, like 1 and a half hours late due to my late night sleep the previous day and my leg cramping up and the nerves were kinda affected and I couldn't move at all for a good whole 10mins until it losen up a lil and managed to go down to the car with the help of a walking stickumbrella.

Anyways, Medz's something like Marche but a lil different kind of cuisine. When we ordered our food, alot of them ran out and it was only 3pm... Kinda disappointed, we kinda had to make do...

Premiere of Frankenweenie

Frankenweenie with Hays!

Thanks to nuffnang, I got to catch the premiere of Frankenweenie before it hits the cinemas officially :D Hays have been talking about this movie so much and how much she's been obsessed with Tim burton's whatever. So she was the ideal person to bring with to the premiere :D

The whole movie was in Black and White, in the beginning, I was kinda not used to it. But as the movie goes on, it made me focus so much more on other stuff than the colors itself. And it was awesome, their effort put into it and how they made me laugh and cry with just clays :D

With each movement taken, stop motion style, WOW. It took them 3 years to finish Frankenweenie with 1 week only finishing 5secs, as I've heard. No doubt a movie by people with the passion and believing in never giving up :D With a touch of uniqueness to the movie, it's a total much catch.

After the movie, we had marche for dins! Cause we felt like it ;) One crepe was enough for the both of us.

The '90s Flashback - JUICE 14th Anniversary

It was Juice's 14th Birthday at Zouk and their theme was the 90s! Was so eggs for it as I've always wanted to live in the past and was kinda looking forward to more people dressing up. Only like a few of us dressed up. Anyways, we had the VIP guestlist other than the normal invite that we already have with last min having to cut the queue and going in with a red tag which shows our importance, nahhhh, exaggerating here. WTHamIsaying....

I was expecting more of like britney spears kind songs and maybe songs that I know of but the live band playing was more of like indie 90s songs, i think. Until the very end of the night when britney's songs started to play which hyped up everyone, shows how old we all are, and wannabe by spice girls which hays was kinda hoping they'd play and they immediately played it like the next song!!! Too bad it lasted for only around half an hour and house songs started and so we decided to go phuture ;D My first time at phuture though, have always been hearing stuff about that place but have not really been there, suaku me is suaku.
