We are looking for a Micromobility Programme Manager to join us here at South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority. Cycle Technician / Retailer

We are looking for a team player who is passionate about cycling; a person of sterling character with a demonstrable mechanical aptitude and competence, plus a familiarity with all the systems on modern bicycles. Confident in dealing with members of the public as selling is part of the job in an open workshop.  A clean driving licence would also be useful.

Cycle Heaven is one of the North’s largest cycle retailers. The successful candidate will work at all three of our stores: our HQ, an exceptional large flagship store with a busy cafe; Cycle Heaven at the (railway) Station, and also in our neighbourhood workshop – CH at the Angel. This job involves: the assembly of new cycles, including e-bikes; repairs to a diverse range of cycles; servicing customers, as well as a full range of retail duties.

Customer Service and Warranty Advisor

This role will be a key part of our team, providing the best customer service and support of warranty claims for both our retailers and consumers.

Responsibilities for this role include serving customers showing high standards of customer care at all times, providing a helpful and friendly service. To manage the customer service enquiry inbox, and respond to customers in a timely manner. To manage our claims portal with the retailers, which consists of returns, warranties and other matters. To coordinate warranty claims with the consumer and retailer. To process and track warranty claims, working closely with our Italian colleagues. To provide expert advice and creative problem solving to resolve queries, in conjunction with our technical team.

Individual requirements of this role include the folliwng. Ideally this person has experience in this type of role and have a basic mechanical understanding of modern bicycles. E-Bike knowledge would be an advantage. This person will be passionate about bicycles and the sport. This person needs to have excellent communication skills and be a good listener. This person must be well organised and proficient with the use of Outlook and Excel. Knowledge of CRM systems would be an advantage.

Marketing Executive

Between 3-5 July 2026, the national cycling charity, Cycling UK, is launching ‘The Big Fix’, a nationwide campaign currently offering 1,235 free bike checks and simple fix events across 449 locations to help people make more affordable everyday journeys.

The campaign comes after the charity found that nearly three in ten UK drivers (28%) are cycling or walking more to cut costs, with a further 15% considering doing the same as financial pressures continue to grow following the war in Iran and the cost-of-living crisis.

The charity has mapped out over 1,200 free bike check events across 449 locations, bringing together retailers Evans Cycles and Halfords, alongside independent retailers represented by the Association of Cycle Traders, and Cycling UK’s own network of community projects and programmes.  The three-day campaign focuses on helping as many bikes as possible get back on the road. For bikes that need more extensive repairs, attendees will receive expert advice, helpful information, and guidance on where to go next.

The Big Fix: How Bike Shops Can Get Involved

Cycling UK is actively encouraging more bike shops, community organisations, and cycling projects to get involved by hosting their own Big Fix events and joining the growing nationwide network.

Taking part is designed to be straightforward and low-cost. Organisations simply need to register their interest by completing a short online form with basic details, including their organisation name, event date and time, location, and contact information. Once registered, events will be added to Cycling UK’s national map of events, helping local people discover their nearest free bike check.

For bike shops and cycle businesses, The Big Fix offers a valuable opportunity to connect directly with local communities, showcase their expertise, and bring new and returning customers through their doors. The new company, MVC Group UK Ltd, will manage all UK operations for both Castelli and Sportful, providing dedicated local support and creating a strong foundation for future growth. This development follows the recent announcement that Saddleback Ltd has entered administration. Until now, the company has been known for its powerful mid-drive motors, but the Hub Line heralds a new era for elegant urban eBikes as the first hub motor in the smart system. Developed specifically for city riding, it delivers 45 Nm of torque for a ride that feels noticeably lively yet smooth. A smart sensor function keeps control precise and ensures agile riding behaviour, allowing riders to tackle situations such as starting off at traffic lights or moderate inclines without breaking a sweat.

At speeds exceeding 25 km/h, the motor is completely decoupled, allowing the eBike to be ridden like a conventional bike, with virtually no pedal resistance.

At just 2.3 kg, the lightweight motor makes the eBike highly manoeuvrable and easy to carry. It is also incredibly compact. With a diameter of only 100 mm and a black aluminium housing, the motor blends seamlessly into the wheel hub for a virtually invisible, clean look.

As an integral part of the smart system, the Hub Line is fully connected. In combination with the eBike Flow app, the smartphone becomes an intuitive control centre for intelligent functions such as theft protection, navigation and personalisation. Continuous over-the-air updates ensure that the eBike is always up to date. For riders wanting a more comfortable ride, the Hub Line can be combined with eShift electronic gear shifting. Riders can choose between manual or automatic shifting, ensuring smooth, efficient gear changes at exactly the right moment

Energy at its most streamlined

In keeping with the clean design of the Hub Line, Bosch also presents the

PowerTube 360, the slimmest battery in its smart system to date. The battery’s 68 mm profile integrates seamlessly into the frame, ensuring the eBike looks just like a conventional bicycle at first glance. The low weight of the battery, at only around 2.1 kg, optimises the eBike’s centre of gravity, allowing it to respond and travel more dynamically. The 360 Wh battery delivers reliable energy for daily urban use, offering a range of over 80 km¹. For longer distances, the DualBattery system can be extended using the PowerMore 250 Range Extender. Depending on the frame design, the PowerTube 360 can be permanently built in or easily removed.

Intelligent protection for greater peace of mind with the Bosch

ConnectModule

With the Bosch ConnectModule, riders can enjoy peace of mind, even when they don’t have a direct view of their eBike. Equipped with GPS, mobile communications and motion sensors, it forms the basis for advanced digital theft protection functions, such as eBike Alarm. The latest generation of this module introduces two key innovations. Bluetooth® Low Energy technology is used for highly accurate tracking within a few metres. This helps locate an eBike in places where conventional GPS trackers often fall short, such as basements and backyards. The module can also be retrofitted to compatible eBikes easily using a flexible attachment. The extended features are part of the Flow+ paid subscription service.

LED Controller: maximum control, minimal design

With the new LED Controller, Bosch has launched the successor to the LED Remote. Thanks to its design, the new control unit is around 65% smaller than its predecessor, ensuring a tidy, minimalist look on the handlebars. Ergonomics take centre stage here, with all five buttons optimally positioned within easy reach of the rider’s thumb and provide tangible and audible feedback. eBikers can change the support mode, enable walk assistance, or operate the light safely, without having to take their eyes off the road. The LEDs clearly display information such as the riding mode and battery level, while a sensor automatically adjusts their brightness to the ambient light for optimum readability during day and night. A practical USB-C connector with up to 10 Wh of charging power² also allows external devices to be charged.

The Intuvia 200 is more than just a display – it’s a design statement. Its sleek, minimalist look blends seamlessly into the aesthetics of any eBike and emphasises its clean look. The 2.4-inch greyscale display provides a razor-sharp image and ensures excellent readability in any weather and from any perspective. Allowing eBikers to focus entirely on their flow during the ride and enjoy their urban experience.
