KTM has recently introduced the production version of the highly anticipated Freeride E electric off-road motorcycle at EIMCA. With the revolutionary Freeride E, KTM takes noise-free, lightweight and agile off-road motorcycles where enduro riding was previously impossible.

The brand new Freeride E uses a swappable 2.1kWh lithium-ion battery pack mated to an electric motor capable of producing 22 kilowatts (30hp) with an impressive 42Nm (31 ft-lb) of torque at just 500rpm. The 300v battery takes just 90 minutes to charge. Bike’s electric system is dust and waterproof, allowing for riding in all sorts of atmospheric conditions and cleaning with a pressure washer is not a problem. Let’s check out the images!

Classic motorcycles offer the buyer a “different and unique” type of bike to ride, instead of the typical newer cycles that you see everywhere. 1953 Harley Davidson Model K, is the forerunner of the Sportster. The KK is surely one of the rarest of all Harley motorcycles. Harley-Davidson celebrated its 50th Anniversary in style in the year 1953. An attractive logo was created, depicting a “V” in honor of the engine which had brought the Company so far, with a bar overlaid reading “Harley-Davidson” and the words, above and below, “50 years–American made.

Kaffe Maschine will take your classic V2 engined Moto Guzzi and convert it in to a stunning street or track ready Cafe Racer. Using one off and custom made parts designed and handcrafted in their own workshop they have created a series of stunning Cafe Racers for their clients. Best of all this is all done under the guidance of the owners, matching their style and performance wishes while following their own basic Cafe Racer formula – optimise performance/optimise suspension/reduce technical aspects/create pure riding machines.

The bike is based on a Moto Guzzi Le Mans 3 and has a 950cc V-twin engine producing 82hp, the bike weighs in at a relatively light 180kgs. The Brutus is a beautiful beast of an electric motorcycle. It is an over-powering, muscular, and strong hand built motorcycle that does not at all look like it is powered by a clean and green electric engine. With its outstanding speed, attractive looks and Eco-friendly credentials, this electric cruiser is set to touch the hearts of the ‘bikers of the world.

Unlike other electric bikes, the Brutus uses a conventional five-speed transmission to channel power from the lithium-ion battery pack. The current model uses a 72 volt lead-acid battery with a top speed of 70 miles per hour and a meager range of 20 miles on a single recharge, while taking only 3 hours to completely the charge. It is expected to get a top speed of 100 mph and go for 60 miles. This could be bettered further with a 144 volt version to boost that top speed to over 125 mph. Most guys spend their high school years chasing tail, unsuccessfully trying to buy beer and making every effort to look like Kurt Cobain. Lord knows I did. But that isn’t the path Chris Riffel chose for himself, this inspirational high schooler got a group of friends together, talked some teachers into helping and then set about building a fully functioning Fallout 3 bike, right down to the little radiation emblems on the front and rear.

Jesse Bassett is the owner of The GasBox, a vintage motorcycle shop in Lakewood, Ohio, and specializes in custom fabrication and vintage motorcycles.  His 1965 BSA Lightning belongs to the second category and is a very fine example of custom vintage motorcycle work.

The ’65 BSA Lightning was a winner of the freestyle class at the ‘Ultimate Builder’ AMD Championship affiliate event in Cleveland. Jesse began the 1965 BSA project in 2009. The bike took two years to build a 1965 model. The frame has been modified with a hard-tail, and the girder forks are from a BSA M-20. The entire engine was disassembled and polished and the sludges were cleaned. Take a look!

Crescent Suzuki has unveiled its new 2012 GSX-R and named bespoke Foreign Exchange Solutions company Fixi as co-title sponsor for John Hopkins and Leon Camier’s 2012 World Superbike Championship title assault.

And, as the wraps came off the newly-liveried Hiroshima-powered GSX-R1000s at the company’s Verwoerd Headquarters in Dorset this week, the squad – under the guidance of Team Manager Jack Valentine – was preparing to crate-up and ship to Australia next week for testing in the lead-up to the opening round of the 2012 Super bike Championship at Phillip Island on February 26th.
