Kawasaki revamped the Ninja 650 in order to make it a better sportbike for the street with increased looks and comfort. In order to do this, engineers made wide-sweeping changes all the way down to its name, which is no longer the 650R.

The biggest change is an all-new double-pipe perimeter frame instead of the single-pipe. Engineers didn’t want to change the geometry of the frame, which is identical, but this allows the chassis to have more rigidity balance.

The Italians have described this Nembo 32 modern café racer as a complete novelty in the world of motorcycling. The idea behind the Nembo 32 is that by turning the engine upside-down it can use the crankcase as a structural part of the chassis without putting any loads through the cylinders or cylinder head.
