If you’re interested in commenting on blogs, as a way to gain traffic for your site, you have to have the right mindset. Far too many people start leaving comments blindly on DoFollow blogs, hoping that the backlinks will help. Their mistake is that they fail to leave high quality, memorable comments. Instead, they post generic comments like "click here for more information", hoping that the blog’s readers will click through to their site.

The correct approach to blog commenting, however, is to look it as a gradual process of building a brand. Remember, your goal isn’t to steal the existing blogs readers – it’s to get them to add your bog to their feedreader right beside it. By building a brand, learning about the niche, and focusing on comment quality, you’re well on your way.
