So, It has been a while since I showed up here. I have been finalizing some issues, so pray for me :). Last Tuesday we had our yearly trip to Cairo ICT. Frankly speaking, I didn’t like it the same way I did last year. I expected a lot of amazing stuff this year, but I found almost nothing. I dunnu why it came like this, the financial crisis, or what, but if it did affect, how come 400 corporates joined this year in this round? I have seen only one touch screen, and it worked only with the technician standing there, when I tried it, it didn’t work, but I loved the application that was running on it, it was a news reader application, but the hardware as been said, didn’t work properly.

As usual, TEData and LinkdotNet were competing with their amazing partitions, but as usual and like the last year, TEData won with its creative idea that were simulating a small town with its supermarket, school, bank and streets. Lovely!

Concerning the technology, and while talking about those competitors in Egypt, Vodafone was smashing both of them with its new fastest USB modem in the whole world. This was the most interesting thing I saw all over the day. I was amazed when I tried it, you should see how Full HD Youtube videos stream using this thing. I had a photo of IDM I think, downloading a 2.0+GB file and I will leave if for your comments.

I dunnu if I will be there next year or no, I really hope so. I really enjoyed being with AnGel, I was really happy that she could come :), thanks Sweetie. We had a great day, and the guys were really funny, we enjoyed our way, but it was kinda noisy on our way back. Metoo, biko, and Sameh, Guys, Your Rock!

One really strange thing I found, is that there are preparations to transfer “extra supporters” from Algeria and Egypt for this match. LOL, and where were those in the previous matches? I remember Angolians cheering for us in our matches, this is fun. Ok, send them but please, keep it peaceful! And this is for both “governments”. I heard about this guys saying to Boutaflika to send the guys who were in Sudan for Algeria again. Come on, chill out! It’s football, not a war. I heard this on a radio station recently, when we started to give up war with anyone, we moved to football to battle.

And let’s look at it from another point of view; Algeria won, so they will say, “We have just proven it, and we are better, we deserve being in World Cup, so Egypt, shut your mouth.” And then, all Egyptian press and aggressive supporters will have to shut their mouthes, or they will start looking for some funny reasons for our loss then which the team itself doesn’t do.

Or, Egypt won, now this would be said “Haha, Algerians lost, we could have been nominated to WC2010, but we still have a match to go to win CAF 2010.” And, all Algerian voices I see on digital newpapers would say, “Egypt did it, but we went to WC2010″, and will start looking for some other funny reasons why did their national team lost the match.

Didn’t any of you think that we don’t even complete to the 2nd stage in world cups? I mean by “we” as Arabs? We just play two matches, and then, “See you, in your next war thing.” Yeah, yeah, yeah, some guys are going to tell me “It ain’t about World Cup, they just hate us, and what happened in Sudan..bla bla bla.” Even so, accept it, and put rules for your brothers, friends and enemies. Categorize them, and always know you enemy, your real one.

For those who will ask about and how can we get our pay back for what happened in Sudan, I don’t have an answer, you should ask your government really, not me and they won’t reply you as they didn’t reply on our embassy in Sudan when it warned them – actually as they don’t reply us on anything -. Thanks for reading, I really wish we – Egyptians – win, normally, I’m Egyptian, and I love to see this country happy, and it seems that only football that makes it so. I love the smile on Egyptian faces :), but if we didn’t play well and they won, so hard luck for us, and if we played well and they won, it’s simply football.

I have a lot of dreams, much more than anyone can think, and most of them makes you feel astonished just to hear them. You might once say, “How can you even dream of this?!” But, yes, I can dream with this, even if I didn’t achieve it. It doesn’t matter how may one achieve his dream, but at least he can live a second trying to and in a way that can help him achieving it. Don’t ever tell me, “Ok, go for it, make your dream come true!” and in the same time, you put me in a cage without even windows to breath. I always say this, “I hate cages and restrictions, just give me the chance to do whatever I want to do, it’s not you who will judge me!” Let me know what is wrong and what is right.

Although I’m 22 years old, I have seen quiet some stuff in my life in which I say, I have seen some. Sometimes, I just need hints about what I’m going to do, especially in a life changing decisions. Most of those decisions are not about me, mostly about people I love, I really love. A yes for me, might be one suffering moment for someone I do care for, but I dun even know about that, and in the same time, I should choose, a yes..or no.

I love this country, but I hate how it’s ruled, from whoever is ruling it in a way that it’s not supposed to be. 99% I will be transfered next April to my military training. This is a fact I just noticed I’m about to just yesterday. And for the first time since I started finishing my military papers, I started to think about it. Just if Allah want, with all progress one might be able to do, technologies one might be able to invent or even use, mostly I won’t be able to do for 30 months of my life.

It seems this country is just about to. Ahmed Sha’ban – May Allah Bless His Soul – a soldier in the Egyptian army. He was born in same birth year I was, and was shot yesterday, dead. I think his mother, when he was transfered to our borders with Palestine, never worried that he might be shot by Arabian bullet. I wonder how did she feel when she saw this photo:

His friends are moving him from the tower where he was shot; to his grave. It was said the bullet was from Hamas. And again I started to think; Why would an Arab, shoot another Arab?! Why suddenly may I come one day and bunch you in your face? And thought, why did they say it came from Hamas, and why didn’t they think that $1000 might be a price for a traitor to do such nasty job and stick it to Hamas. And if it was Hamas, why are all those people calling not to build that *uckin’ wall while they know that the first one get benefits from the tunnels is Hamas? Why do we always care about others as long as they dun care about us? Why do we even have relations with any of those around us? and why we just can’t say no?!!

By chance while writing this post, I just read that Ahmed, died through the Egyptian bullets while shooting the Palestinians, don’t you feel that there is a guy in a grave now? Ain’t that strange? COME ONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN. Now Egypt is the Enemy?  And we are preventing help from going there?! We simply could say, no, thanks, no one is gonna use our land to go there. And then the same stuff will be said, that we are sieging them, so what would be the difference?! Keep it this way, let the war start between Arabs and let those, your REAL enemies watch you and laugh. Ah, and check this, they are in, and I’m sure there will be those who will say “بعد إيه؟”, so I’m quoting this:

“وأضاف أن السلطات المصرية فوجئت بوصول 43 سيارة (صالون) ليس لها أى طابع إنسانى، ولا تحمل أية مساعدات، ولم يتم إخطار السلطات بأن القافلة ستضم تلك السيارات، علماً بأنه تم التأكيد للجانب التركى على أن كافة السيارات التى تحمل مساعدات سيكون لها أولوية فى الدخول، الأمر الذى حدا بالجهات المصرية المعنية إلى التمسك بضرورة تطبيق الإجراءات، سواء القانونية أو تلك المتبعة فى دخول البضائع (غير الإنسانية) إلى قطاع غزة، على تلك السيارات.”

All day long, I see posts about “Free Gaza”, “Egyptians are sieging Palestine”, yeah, you was there and saw them doing so. And this really fires a great problem, Who should you believe? and Why will you believe him?

ليه لما اتقال جدار سخنتوا و انهارده مشفتش أي حاجة عن الراجل اللي مات ده يمكن حتى في ناس متعرش انه مات؟ ولا كله دلوقتي عمل فيها نايم؟ و طبعاً حد هيطلع يقوللي مهو ممكن فعلاً يكون مات برصاص مصري؟ و ليه فعلاً بقينا إحنا اللي عملنا حصار؟و ليه ميكونش الناس التانية بتألف؟ أنا مش بدافع عن حد,ولا بقول خليكو مع حد, أنا بس بطلب انكوا متسخنوش الوضع زيادة ﻷن انتوا أصلاً مش متأكدين من حاجة..

I also thought about the European Unite, how can one pass from a country to a country by just crossing a line on foot? and Why can’t we as being said Arabs do the same here and expel any black “dot” that can contaminate the whole white place.

I always believe in the conspiracy theory. I never trust anybody this simple, actually I learned this though my 22 years.

February, 10^th: Cairo ICT ‘09 Trip, one lovely day, with my AnGel, friends and colleagues, we had a great day. We also saw some great stuff there.

March: March was a great full of stuff month, mostly related to WordCamp Egypt, and how to get such event to life. It started with CAT Scope 10, and a really great appreciation from CAT. Then, WordCamp Egypt, and this great event that went so well, in a way that we didn’t even imagine. One really great lesson I learned after WordCamp Egypt 2009, is that everything passes. It’s kinda strange to find that out especially after almost 21 years – by that time -, but I really found this true and in a great way after that event. How difficult, hard or even seemingly impossible stuff that may happen in your life, be sure, that everything just passes!

On April 22^nd: Again, another trip, but this time was to Alex, and I was the organizer with the help of guys at FCI. This one had really a lot of fun! We had a lot of troubles getting this trip even into the bus, but as I mentioned, everything passes. The day, just before that trip, we were cancelling it, but it went fine and it was on of the funniest days in 2009.

May: A special month, with a special day and AnGel’s birthday :). We also had our final exam at the college, before our literally starting our graduation project!

June: Obama’s Speech in Cairo, I remember I starred in front of the TV since he landed in Cairo’s Airport, till he left Cairo University’s Campus. And the first real output in our graduation project, I celebrated this a lot in the lab .

July: July, is just another great month, and never to think that’s because it’s my birth month, but because of my engagement. I just love this month. In 2009, it started with presenting our graduation project. And had a nice post about two years of happiness :).

August: When I started to prepare my Army’s papers, and I had this story with a taxi driver. And then I went through the long army series of events, which almost ended this month as a lieutenant in the Egyptian army.

September: Some events I would like to attend.

October: I introduced Begin’s idea, which I really wish I can get to life.

November: The most interesting thing in that month was Egypt’s matches with Algeria.

December: CAT About Us II, somehow a strange experience. And in the same event, I introduced Map Your MIInd – or Map Your Mind II -.

And, here I am today, recapping, after another year, of achievements, some strange stuff and shocking events, wondering where will I be on the same time next year, what will be I doing, or even saying, and really the most important thing, what will be I remembering?!

My AnGel, My Mother, No words might even describe how much I’m grateful having you in my life.

For everybody, who shared me even a tiny single memory, you made a part of my year. So, Thanks a lot.
