I love shopping over at Supermaggie’s – they always have a great selection of attractive nature-inspired indie prints for women and men. It’s usually hard for me to choose just one design! Located in Austin, TX, the site and tee shop are run by an indie artist power-duo who started way back in 2001. Often their items are printed on organic cotton, or feature low impact (environmentally friendly) inks for the print process. Eco-conscious ladies are especially lucky at Supermaggie – they have a Women’s Organic Tees section, so finding something eco-friendly and alluring is easy. My favorite new print for the springtime is the Fox scoopneck t-shirt (shown below in Slate). The scoopneck tee has a scooped neckline, with a boatneck in back and tiny little capped sleeves. Constructed of 100% cotton jersey fabric, the t-shirt is made in the USA, and printed in Austin, TX. It’s no secret that when it comes to high tops Converse is the king of rock and roll. However as the years have gone by and they were swallowed up by Nike…well my experience has degenerated to fairly negative (cheaply made and uncomfortable about sums it up). So if you are feeling like you want to move up to a higher class (and price tag) of shoe, these slick looking Camper Pue Ramblas might be right up your ally. All of the Camper shoes I’ve owned have been beautifully designed, comfortable, and constructed to last. Just in time for the up coming holiday traditionally celebrated with hearts – I think this anatomically proper human heart locket would be a stellar Valentine’s day gift!
