Invite some friends over, serve them some wings and beer, trash talk about their teams/players, good time guaranteed!

This recipe is not my own, its from one of my favorite food blogs Simply Recipes. The original recipe broils the wings but I fried the batch I made in a mini deep fryer.

Ingredients

2 lbs chicken wings (about 12 wings)

3 Tbsp butter, melted

4 Tbsp bottled hot pepper sauce (I used Frank's Originals)

1 Tbsp paprika

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Frying oil

Blue cheese (optional)

Directions:

Cut off wing tips and cut wings at joint. Place wings into a resealable bag and set aside.

Stir the melted butter, hot pepper sauce, paprika, salt, cayenne pepper and black pepper together. Pour all but 2 tablespoons of the marinade over the chicken pieces in the resealable bag, save the remaining to pour over the wings after frying. Let the chicken wings marinate at room temperature for half an hour.

Remove the wings from bag and heat oil to 375 degrees before placing in the wings (if you don't have a deep fryer you can use a pot). Fry the wings for about 8-10 minutes, you can remove it to check if its ready by cutting into the thickest part. Pour the remaining marinade over it and serve with blue cheese.
* If you like the flaky crispy type you can dip the wings in some flour before frying.

If you're health conscious you can broil the wings. Heat up the oven to 425 and bake the wings on a rack for 10-12 minutes each side.

I serve my wings with a side of celery and carrot sticks.

See the original recipe on Simply Recipes, the owner of the site teaches you how to make the blue cheese yourself! I've also added garlic and jalapenos for an extra kick, if you like spicy you'll like the extra jalaepnos. You don't necessarily NEED to use italian sausages, I've tried it with other sausages and it came out just as well. Try chicken sausages if you want to be a little healthier.

</preheat>XOXO, M

Eating Out NYC: Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao AKA Soup Dumplings

Other things I may not know but soup dumplings, I know!
