More info after the jump. 125 years Fedrigoni: The 2013 annual report designed by Thomas Manss & Company celebrates the people at the giant Italian paper manufacturer.

125 years ago Giuseppe Antonio Fedrigoni set up his first paper mill in 1888 in Verona, Italy. Hence this year is a year of celebrations for the paper manufacturing group which has grown from a family business to a multinational company with 8 manufacturing divisions and 7 distribution companies.

Without doubt the 2013 report could not simply be a standard financial report, instead it is a homage to everyone who has made the success of Fedrigoni possible throughout the years. For the first time ever, a Fedrigoni annual report features portraits of employees and every single one of the employees’ names are printed in silver on the blue endpaper of the report.

During its presentation at the anniversary gala at the Palazzo della Gran Guardia in Verona all 2165 employees of the great Fedrigoni family greeted the report with thunderous applause – eagerly searching for their names on the endpaper of the 252 page book.

Thomas Manss, consultancy founder, who has designed numerous annual reports in the past shares the excitement: “I did not think I could get that excited about a piece of print anymore but as an object this is pretty unusual.”

Nevertheless, it does not neglect its customary duties as an annual report. Therefore also included is detailed information about finance and environment. The celebratory theme is further enhanced through the edges which are painted in a glossy silver and, of course, it is printed on only the finest Fedrigoni paper.
