Two weekends ago, we attended the first Washington Nationals Pups in the Park game of 2013. Kirby certainly enjoyed himself and he actually did okay with other dogs. He even participated in a parade! :) Hope to attend more DC events once the warm weather decides to stay put!

I was on the fence about writing this post because I’ve always believed that if you have an internet audience (i.e. blogging, microblogging, social media/networking sites/apps), you shouldn’t mention any specifics regarding your day job. Unless your day job consists any of the above – like my boyfriend. But this is a big step in my life. A challenge. A risk. And so far, I’m happy with my decision. And I wanted to share it with you.

I hope you all got a laugh from the above photo. A while back, one of my friends suggested someone photoshop my dress to white and voila!

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. I’m truly blessed to have someone who has my back and makes me laugh every single second of our relationship. He’s my best friend and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life discovering new things with him, going on adventures, and having his babies.

So now all we need…is something tiny, shiny, and oval-shaped. ;) Happy Anniversary, babe!

Happy New Year, ya’ll. Here’s to picking & choosing my battles. To finally getting my passport. Getting new running shoes. And to visiting every museum and monument there is in Washington, DC. Hope everyone has a terrific year. Can’t wait to see what 2013 has in store for us!

Just imagine me saying, “I’m on top of the world!” Because I said it. I did, I did.

The year is almost over. I began writing this on December 20th – the day before the world is supposed to end. If you can read this, this means you have survived… It may also mean the Mayans were totally wrong and we have our whole lives to live! Let’s hope for the latter.

I didn’t do much cooking or baking this year. I let myself become a workaholic and I say that’s a good and a bad thing. I explored Northern Virginia a bit more. I spent most of my time with Chris and Kirby in Old Town Alexandria. I Skyped with my mother a lot. I planned a lot. I ate out a lot.

I finally enjoyed being able to call myself a local up here! :)

Last weekend, Chris and I participated in Dandies & Quaintrelles’ Fourth Annual Tweed Ride. We attended the Seersucker Social back in June but we felt completely underdressed and misplaced. This time, we were ready. Sorta.

It’s been a while since me and my best girls threw a tea party, huh? Well, we have a pretty good excuse this time.

Michelle is having a baby! :) I cannot believe a little one will be invading MIA (that’s what me and my best girlfriends call ourselves). Janelle and I decided to throw her a baby shower in Richmond and I hafta say… we did an awesome job!
