Ok, we’ve never watched Reno 911 but this video is damn great, so we think we should start.

It had me going there from the start, and I cracked up laughing out loud at the alphabet backwards shtick. Had no idea Reno 911 used such a nice naturalistic style, which is my fave. if you haven’t noticed yet.

As for those of you coming here for the Tropic Thunder the movie CD (I know I know, I get the names mixed up all the time) - the CD isn’t out yet, but they do have a MySpace Page ready for the soundtrack.

They are pulling out all the stops for Tropic Thunder and I have very high hopes for this one. Because Tropic Thunder looks very very funny - and I haven’t been to a comedy that made me laugh in a long time. In fact, I still have to wince every time I think of Wedding Crashers. Owch. Bad one.

But I like Ben Stiller’s brand of quiet satire, and I love the theme of Tropic Thunder - taking the piss out of American films has to be done. And I just love Robert Downey Junior. Period. I am laughing to the Tropic Thunder CD all ready.

So scoping out the the big PR spin of Tropic Thunder we have a new Tropical Thunder Soundtrack site on Myspace ready to go.

1911 Coke & Mentos Explosions Set New Guinness World Record in Latvia

A new Guinness World Record was set June 19th 2008 in Latvia for the most simultaneous Coke and Mentos explosionss. The students at the Business University Turiba in Latvia celebrated their school’s 15th anniversary by setting off 1,911 Coke and Mentos geysers at the same time by dropping a Mentos candy into the bottles.

The Guinness World Record is official and was registered by the Adjudicator of the Guinness World Record book - beating out the previous record held by held by 1,499 Belgian students in the town of Leuven.

Macrida Patterson Sues Victoria’s Secret for Defective Thong

Product liability lawsuit of the day.

It’s true - 52 year old LA resident Macrida Patterson sues underwear company Victoria’s Secret for a defective thong. Now before your mind goes wandering to all ways one could incur crazy thong injuries, I will spoil your fantasies by telling you that the thong injury was to her eye. Our sue-happy lass Macrida Patterson was trying on a thong, when a decorative metallic piece came loose, flew off and struck her in the eye causing permanent corneal damage.

Listen up all you lazy-ass litigious people making the world a worse place for the rest of us - this type of lawsuit is called a product liability lawsuit. Product liability lawsuits are there because there is a product liability law ensuring that manufacturers be responsible for their wares. There are tons of product liability cases and lawsuits - mostly because of defective product lawyers who know that the product doesn’t even have to be defective for there to be a product liability lawsuit. Manufacturers must make sure to protect consumers and if necessary provide warnings when potential hazards accompany specific products.

The Victoria Secret thong in question is called the “low rise v string.” It us unsure whether Victoria’s Secret will provide warnings on their “Sexy Little Thing” line that their underwear might turn into slingshots in dressing rooms.

In the meantime one might consider wearing protective goggles in the change room.

Macrida Patterson’s defective product attorney, Jason Buccat, claims that the injury was caused by the metal decoration’s “design problem” and that the eye injury, which caused Patterson to miss a few days of work, will be “affecting her the rest of her life.”

Defective product lawyers can be found advertising their wares on the backs of telephone books and on late night TV where other classy acts can be found.

Hallmark Channel.com’s “Charlie and Me” is Gooey

“Charlie and Me” was shown on the internet hallmarkchannel.com . It’s just what the world needed. More sickly sweet TV based on cliches written by dull people. It’s enough to make a bitter idealist go nuts.

My eyes rolled over and thudded when they heard this line. “Shhh. He doesn’t know he’s an iguana. ” Oh, how clever. It’s usually he doesn’t know he’s a dog. That’s way out of the box. And the reverse story is very ingenious too. Ditto the lead being a precocious too smart for her own age (unlikable) kid. Yawn.

Then the gimmick to go to the site to see Charlie all grown up. Wel, actually that was ok. But yeah, she’s a doctor, and a super caring one. Blech. I barfed a lot more than just a little.

I saw that and immediately needed to degoo.

zZz is playing: Grip. Ok we love this video by Roel Wouters. It’s a trampoline mimicking video games.

I absolutely cracked up when I saw the timeline. Once again, for a lone person sitting in the dark way past midnight, to make me guffaw out loud gets bonus points.

Ooh. The video was shot live with an audience in Amsterdam’s Stedelijk museum.

The Stedelijk museum! That’s one of my faves. I was there years ago and it blew my mind. You can’t say that often about museums - for the most part they are stodgy, cold, snobby, boring showpieces. Hey, I can say that, I have a fine art history museum and worked in museums for 5 years.

But wait. I just read more on the Youtube page.

The music video shoot was “part of the opening ‘Nederclips’ at the ’s-Hertogenbosch SM’S curated by Bart Rutten.”

Ok THAT was stodgy cold and snobby.

And Roel darling. You have to ditch your AKA name Xelor. Not because it’s stodgy. Nope. I could never get myself to say the name Xelor, unless maybe if I were playing Dungeons and Dragons with you.
