Music and Waffle Show - 27th November 2011

<itunes:author>Ben Park, James Wilson, Stephen Gardner</itunes:author>

It's the last in this series of the Music and Waffle Show. I can't believe it's over. I watched the whole thing fall, and I never saw the writing that was... yeah.. enough Michael Buble.

We've got a new remix of Kirsty MacColl. Well, no.. it's 2.5 years old actually. But it's good to hear it again (unless you're a fanatical obsessive fan and you hate us repeating old features, in which case, sorry).

We've had a slight problem with our 'guess how many' competition The Magic Number this week, in that someone has stolen our bag and balls. However, our listeners can win some great prizes, if they can tell us how many nuts are in the sack. It's easy - you can even look at it on the webcam. Probably.

Amazingly, Britain has come first in something. Well done us. Well, not me, James and Stephen. But well done to the others who put in some effort.

James has been using the toilet in an incorrect manner. But what have our listeners been doing wrong?

Local newsreader Donald McDonald is possibly not giving the reading of news his full attention this week, although it does feature grapes, Yorkshire, and a chicken.

James has been watching endless dross on TV, so he's here to put together a roundup for us, and also to give you tips on who to put money on, for winning The Young Apprentice and XFactor.

Ben has finally found someone else who disliked The Hangover as much as he did, and Stephen adds another food to his "the tools of Lucifer" list.

There's another episode of The Only Way is Bradley Stoke. Everyone is preparing themselves for the local Need For Quickness car race. Come on, Joey!

After forgetting about it for the first two weeks, and promising it the third and running out of time, we've finally managed to get Tweet of the Week together for the final show.

We were a bit rushed at the end of the show, so sorry about that. You'll hardly notice really. I don't know why I mentioned it, to be honest. As you were.

Podcast Timings

00:00 - Intro, previously, and what's on today's show,
05:33 - Britain wins something, James' political manifesto, and his struggles with something

22:03 - What has Ben been doing wrong? And the listeners?
24:22 - Top 5 stories of the week

Music and Waffle Show - 20th November 2011

<itunes:author>Ben Park, James Wilson, Stephen Gardner</itunes:author>

It's the penultimate week of this series. We've made an intro, in the style of an oldskool one that some of our long-time listeners might remember. For the rest of you - it's completely original and new.

James and Stephen are missing a football match being televised while we're live. But they hardly mention it, at all. (Ben: And certainly not off air, while every record is on. At all.)

Ben's been putting some things off until he can do it no longer. But what about the listeners?

Donald McDonald Donald has all the latest local news on payrises, name changes, and sightings of bigfoot.

The Magic Number is yet another rollover, with an ever-expanding list of prizes to be won. But just wow many balls are in that bag?

The drama...erm.. reality.. real..unscripted..drama, continues in The Only Way is Bradley Stoke aka TOWIBS.

Sadly there wasn't time for "Tweet of the week" as advertised by Stephen. Never mind.

Podcast Timings

00:00 - New intro, previously, what's on this show?
05:06 - Trips to London, and what Ben's been putting off,
10:21 - Wilso's Reality Check
15:04 - Donald McDonald Donald
18:55 - Berlusconi's love songs, listener responses,
21:33 - Top 5 stories of the week
27:47 - Half time - what's left on this show?
28:40 - The Magic Number
31:45 - Uma has it, viral videos,
34:13 - Dirge, GOHARD, sexiest males
35:58 - TOWIBS
42:21 - The Steve Jobs biopic, bad musical collaborations,
45:55 - Kerry Katona, Magic Number guesses, psychic horses, and goodbye.<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/bjsproductionsbristol/~4/Wwb5wIsx9A8" height="1" width="1"/>

Music and Waffle Show - 13th November 2011

<itunes:author>Ben Park, James Wilson, Stephen Gardner</itunes:author>

We all sound a bit tired today. Ben's been busy, but not as busy as Stephen. James...well...who knows what he's been doing?

There's a few things that annoy Ben. Luckily he's had a few days to calm down since his effing-and-blinding-outside-the-supermarket breakdown.
But what annoys the listeners? There's only one way to find out. Erm, ask them.. yeah?

James has a big update on all the reality TV shows. Well...only The Young Apprentice and Xfactor really, but "Wilso's Apprentice+Xfactor Check" doesn't work as a name.

Donald McDonald is here with all the latest news headlines, about gold, Almondsbury super groups, and the location of the best place in the world.

The Magic Number is back, but how many balls are in that bag? If live listeners let us know, they can win some big big prizes.

We've got some about-average TV news. 10 o Clock Live is back. We keep calling it "The 10 o Clock Show" for some reason.

There's also a gold Kirsty MacColl and gold Dr Ben (repeats, in other words).

Podcast Timings

00:00 - Intro, previously, what's on the show?
04:28 - Ben's annoyances
08:41 - Wilso's Reality Check
12:32 - Donald McDonald Donald
17:14 - More annoyances from listeners and other members of the show,
19:52 - Top 5 stories of the week,
24:15 - Stephen's music choice, Ben's busy week,
29:06 - The Magic Number
31:52 - Life's Too Short
34:02 - Kirsty MacColl's New England,
39:57 - TV news, 10 o Clock Live, Being Human, Magic Number guesses, a disagreement over some music,
44:32 - Dr Ben Gold, goodbye.<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/bjsproductionsbristol/~4/k37gFFRwJnw" height="1" width="1"/>

Music and Waffle Show - 6th November 2011

<itunes:author>Ben Park, James Wilson, Stephen Gardner</itunes:author>

We're back. Stephen sounds terrible. We managed 15 minutes before we got a complaint.

James has his finger on the pulse of reality TV dross, and he brings it to the listeners in his 'Reality Check'.

But never mind national reality shows. What's happening on a local level? South-West? No, even more local than that! Find out in our award-winning* The Only Way is Bradley Stoke.
(*Hasn't actually won any awards.)

Donald McDonald is back with the factual local news (not that TOWIBS isn't factual, obviously), packaged and brutally grafted for the listeners.

What do you have an irritating uncontrollable obsession about? We put this question to our listeners.

If you've not read any newspapers, online news sites, not heard the radio, or watched any TV this week, what are the top 5 most important news stories you should hear about? We do a round up for you.

We've got a big competition where you can win* some great prizes. It's called The Magic Number, and it's simple but brilliant.
(*Live listeners only. Podcast listeners: it's just for fun.)

You've got a million songs. 10 million. 100 million. How do you pick enough music for a 2 hour show though? We use The Randomizer - an enormous wheel covered in numbers. Unfortunately we edit all music we don't have permission to use, out, so you don't get to hear it. But never mind.

Podcast Timings

00:00 - Intro, previously, what's on the show?
03:28 - First complaint of the show, fireworks, lord of the rings
08:24 - Wilso's Reality Check,
13:43 - Donald McDonald local news
17:06 - Obsessions,
21:36 - Top 5 stories of the week
24:41 - Peanut butter, saxophones, James' travels
27:46 - The Magic Number
31:32 - Leo, leeeeeeo, Ricky Gervais, plugs for TV shows
34:39 - Listener obsessions and guesses at the Magic Number
36:33 - The Only Way is Bradley Stoke
41:00 - MTV Europe awards, listener guess at the magic number, and another obsession,
44:14 - The Randomizer, the slating of the record, and goodbye.<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/bjsproductionsbristol/~4/PKbGoTCxW4c" height="1" width="1"/>

Music and Waffle Show - 28th May 2011

<itunes:author>Ben Park, James Wilson, Stephen Gardner</itunes:author>

It's the last in the series. Doesn't it feel like it comes around so quick every time? No? Oh.well..err...ok.... moving on.

In a cultured week, Ben and Stephen have both been to the theatre. Different theatres. Stephen saw Shakespeare. Ben..err...didn't.
Stephen held up the performance, then made a lot of noise to distract the actors.

Talking of acting, the local friendly pirates have had enough of pirating, and try out at a talent show.

Newsreader Donald McDonald has got all the important local news including stories about pimped-out tractors, flower show ticket touts, and a secret local extraterrestrial area.

The Golden Minute is our big competition which should have a massive prize for the winner. Sadly, Ben has eaten it. There's always the prestige of getting the right answer, I guess.

It's the season finale of The Only Way is Bradley Stoke. Will the mayors luncheon be a success?

Our anonymous undercover investigator known only as 'Richard Cook' has sent us another audio recording. This one isn't as clear to understand as some of the others. We hope he's OK. Get well soon, Richard.

Podcast Timings

00:00 - Intro, what's on today's show?

Music and Waffle Show - 21st May 2011

<itunes:author>Ben Park, James Wilson, Stephen Gardner</itunes:author>

Ben is back, audible, and in front of various microphones. He's on the show. That's what I mean.

Apparently the world is ending. We're not 100% sure when, although the guy who told us may have taken the details from an REM song.
We just hope it doesn't happen before the end of the podcast.

Newsreader Donald McDonald is trying to plan a holiday, but you'll hardly notice as he doesn't bring his personal life to work with him, for goodness sake. He's a professional.

The Golden Minute is back, where you can't win some great prizes. As either Stephen or Ben forgot to get one. Oops.

The Only Way is Bradley Stoke's storyline..erm.. real-world...not written..reality..line..continues with gripping stories about important life-changing things such as hair waxing.

Ben gets his Kirsty MacColl track played, but it was so good, it made the rest of the Kirsty MacColl remixes look bad. It'll take some beating.

Richard Cook looks into grant assistance in the local area, and probes deeply into non-profit organisations' finances.

Podcast Timings

00:00 - Intro, and what's on the show?
03:17 - Hip Hop Idol,
05:19 - The world ending
10:11 - Donald McDonald
14:20 - Katy Perry, Mariah Carey, diva requests,
18:30 - Top 5 Stories of the Week
24:07 - The Golden Minute
26:24 - TOWIBS
31:11 - Oxford university speakers, gangland shootings, Golden Minute listener guesses,
33:54 - The horse story
36:14 - Kirsty MacColl's New England
42:54 - Golden Minute winners,
44:18 - Lady Gaga on Twitter
45:59 - The Richard Report, goodbye.<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/bjsproductionsbristol/~4/Prk5s10ps4c" height="1" width="1"/>

Music and Waffle Show - 14th May 2011

<itunes:author>Ben Park, James Wilson, Stephen Gardner</itunes:author>

It's a first. Not only is James not present this week, but Ben is absent from most of the show. Busy behind the scenes, if you like.

But Stephen doesn't have to keep the show going entirely on his own. Randy Lightpurple is helping him out by covering some of the local sport, live.
And Donald McDonald has all the local news, of course.

We've got a big competition, in the form of The Golden Minute. 4 songs from the same year, 1 minute. Just guess the year. There's no prize as it's been stolen, but a big competition nonetheless.

This week has 1 main presenter, 2 news presenters, but there's no cutbacks elsewhere. There's still the Top 5 Stories of the Week, don't you worry.

Reality TV is massive. But we're the only one doing reality radio about the lives of local residents. The Only Way is Bradley Stoke, continues.

Ben's wasn't even listening to this show, and Stephen still played his favourite record of all time.

We've also got another audio recording from the elusive Richard Cook, delving into the hidden issues happening in the local area, that nobody else is reporting on.

Podcast timings

00:00 - Intro, what's on the show?
02:35 - Randy Lightpurple
03:31 - Top Gear, Dragon's Den
06:03 - More Randy Lightpurple
07:09 - Eurovision, Jedward,
09:32 - Donald McDonald Donald,
13:40 - What else is on the show?
14:49 - Top 5 Stories of the Week
18:18 - The Golden Minute
20:57 - TOWIBS, and listener guesses at The Golden Minute
26:30 - National return to work week, and what's left in the show?
28:22 - Movie news,
30:05 - Kirsty MacColl's New England, and the winner of the Golden Minute,
37:39 - Twitter news,
39:14 - The Richard Report
43:08 - Bad losers, and goodbye.<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/bjsproductionsbristol/~4/ph3JTCihZpo" height="1" width="1"/>

Music and Waffle Show - 7th May 2011

<itunes:author>Ben Park, James Wilson, Stephen Gardner</itunes:author>

We're back. Due to substantial cutbacks, we've had to cut James from the show, and Ben has gone part-time.
We've got some new features (and some old ones), but it's all very reasonably priced.
Unfortunately some of the money has have to go on Javier and Dave - our bodyguards - to protect us from our stalker.

In the week of the royal wedding, Stephen has got some big news. Thankfully, our local newsreader Donald McDonald is here with all the proper news about Fast and Furious 6.

What's the worst accent you've ever heard? We ask the listeners.

The Golden Minute competition returns. It's been away for a few years, but all you have to do is listen to the 4 clips of songs, and tell us what year it is. This time round, there is absolutely no baroque. Definitely.

Stephen has got Ben a new remix of Kirsty MacColl's New England. Lucky Ben.

Have you kept your eye on the papers? Yes? Oh. Well, the best stories are timeless..or something.
And given that this podcast wasn't available til September, you'll have forgotten all about them by now.

We've got the biggest reality show (well, within the local area) in the form of The Only Way is Bradley Stoke. It's not scripted.

And in 2011, just who is fighting for the cause of the innocent? The powerless? In a world where the county council officials operate outside of the guidelines of their agreed policy documents? David..no..err...Richard Cook, that's who!
And he brings "The Richard Report" to the show, to uncover the truth.*
*It features some scenes which viewers may find familiar.

Podcast timings

00:00 - What's on the show?
03:42 - Aloe Blacc, our stalker, Stephen's big news
06:54 - Bread pudding, 10 o clock live
10:26 - Donald McDonald Donald
14:14 - Accents
19:13 - Ben's poor mixing, and just how popular are the naked and famous?
22:17 - Still to come in the podcast..
22:58 - Marathon running, listener responses to our questions, Girls Aloud solo work
28:43 - David Guetta, The Golden Minute competition
32:03 - Adele's attractions, Kirsty MacColl, Golden Minute guesses,
40:10 - Top 5 stories of the week
45:13 - The Only Way is Bradley Stoke
50:10 - Bill and Ted, Richard Cook
55:03 - Guinness world records.<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/bjsproductionsbristol/~4/qRDMlLj3fHY" height="1" width="1"/>

Music and Waffle Show - 28th November 2010

<itunes:author>Ben Park, James Wilson, Stephen Gardner</itunes:author>

It's the final part of this series of the Music and Waffle Show, so it's only right that we go out with a bang. Starting a bit too literally, we begin by blowing up the Wilso-matic machine.

Our newsreader Donald McDonald is enjoying the work of the hilarious Andy Capp. However, he finds the time to write the morning's important local news, to keep the listeners up to date.

In another feature that doesn't work very well in a podcast form (especially when it isn't edited and uploaded for nearly 9 months), we have a big long debate about The Apprentice and the X-Factor 2010 - as part Wilso's Reality Check.

What lies have you been told?
We've lied during off-air moments of the show, we've been lied to from someone else at the station, and one of us has even been lied to in a foreign language.

Have you missed the big news of the week? No? Well...err...have you missed those crap little 'Sun Spot' type stories? You're in luck. We've got the lot, in our feature - Top 5 Stories of the Week.

There's a huge disagreement over music taste half way through the show. Luckily, we've got a professional who can tell us what is and isn't good, in the form of club DJ Nigel Westmidlandwood.

Stephen tells a theatre horror story, and uses it as a big excuse to plug his play.

How big are the jugs? If our listeners can guess this in "The Magic Number" competition, they can win a prize.

Stephen hasn't heard the record from The Randomizer in years. Our podcast listeners won't get to hear it now, either.

Podcast Timings

00:00 - What's on this show?
04:01 - The replacement third presenter, fake watches, and we put a question to the listeners
08:51 - Donald McDonald's local news
13:00 - Wilso's Reality Check
19:29 - Listener replies to our question
22:39 - Top 5 stories of the week
27:17 - A huge disagreement over music taste, and what's left in the show?
33:42 - Nigel Westmidlandwood
39:29 - Stephen plugs his play

<itunes:subtitle>Ben lubricates a rod, James feels some jugs, and Stephen can't stop thinking about the C-word.</itunes:subtitle>
<itunes:summary>It's the final part of this series of the Music and Waffle Show, so it's only right that we go out with a bang.

Music and Waffle Show - 21st November 2010

<itunes:author>Ben Park, James Wilson, Stephen Gardner</itunes:author>

A week later than we should have been here (Ben got a flat tyre on the way to the studio), we start our week with a "Previously NOT on the Music and Waffle Show" segment.

James Wilson has gone on holiday this week, but Ben's spent some time in his shed and built a robot replacement, in the form of the "Wilso-matic".
Like James, it's a combination of modern and retro.

If you could have an enormous biscuit, what biscuit would you have?
We put this to our listeners.

Donald McDonald brings you all the latest news, including local protests, bank robberies, and marathons.

Stephen has some news that came out of the blue, that was so exciting it knocked several pairs of his socks off.
Yet it's not one of the top 5 stories of the week. Odd, that.

We might have found out some big music news, but none of it is as new as what our club DJ from the West Midlands - Jim Borehamwood - brings to the table.

The big competition - The Magic Number - returns. You can win some prizes, if you can guess the size of Stephen's organ.

'The Randomizer' is rebuilt in a new location, in order to pick a random piece of music. Podcast listeners don't get to hear it though. Sorry.

Stephen's got a big exclusive, that he's kept up his sleeves. Some audio recorded from the council house, related to Don Chico's coalition government.

Music and Waffle Show - 7th November 2010

<itunes:author>Ben Park, James Wilson, Stephen Gardner</itunes:author>

In the week that most newsreaders were on strike, we got one of the finest ones. Well, of the remaining ones. Erm, yeah. Well Donald McDonald was available.

Stephen's got some troubles with his CDs from the off, and wastes a lot of his time watching high-concept American shows.

James' car goes to the scrapyard. Rust In Piece.
He improves his wheels, but his pulling technique is no better.
He also has a fight in Tesco (other supermarkets are available).

We've chosen 5 big stories of the week, and got all the details for you. If you're listening to this podcast 9 months later, then that probably won't be very interesting. Apologies.
There's some disagreement over what is the most important story of the week.

Stephen dislikes cous cous. A lot.
But not as much as he dislikes James' song choices.

Stephen's also got a big competition, where you have to guess the girth of his cucumber, to win a prize. I wonder if anyone will win.

We've got the biggest wheel in the world in the form of The Randomizer. How else can you pick a piece of music at random (which doesn't make the podcast)?

Podcast Timings

00:00 - Previously, a catch-up, what's on this podcast, and a couple of mistakes
05:06 - American high concept shows, James' car,
08:29 - Donald McDonald,
12:39 - James in Tesco,
16:27 - Top 5 stories
20:47 - Ben's big news story,
22:42 - Wilso's Reality Check
26:06 - Stephen vs James for poor music choices,
28:00 - The Magic Number
31:39 - Results to The Magic Number
34:00 - The Randomizer<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/bjsproductionsbristol/~4/2GsHkfR-6yI" height="1" width="1"/>

Music and Waffle Show - 12th May 2010

<itunes:author>Ben Park, James Wilson, Stephen Gardner</itunes:author>

Incredibly, this is the last part of the current series of the continuing adventures of The Music and Waffle Show, on GlossFM.

There's far too much Stephen on this week's "Previously" for some reason, but on the upside - we've got prizes galore on this show, including two snickers bars, and a doughnut, in the big competition we're calling "The Magic Number".

What would you change your name to, if you were going to change it to something fun? We ask our listeners, and James does a bit of singing.

Local newsreader Donald McDonald Donald has all the big local news for you, including stories about fat fingers, a rare flower, and Brad Pitt statues.

We decided not to do outtakes this series. Instead, we made all the mistakes live, on-air, by accident.
On a completely unrelated note, classical-music enthusiast Dave Molehill is on the show this week, to bring some culture to the show. This week he's looking at the 1812 overture.
This was then ruined by James playing Take That afterwards.

Half-way through the show, Stephen describes himself as "wonderful". That's more than can be said for some of his music.

Dr Ben rounds off the show (and the series), on a satellite phone all the way from sunny L.A. (Long Ashton) to help a listener with a problem.

Podcast Timings

00:00 - Intro, Previously, and what's on this show
06:17 - We start the listener phone-in, and James sings
11:10 - Donald McDonald Donald
15:33 - Listeners reply to our question, and doughnut information
19:39 - Dave Molehill, Take That
26:45 - The wonderful Stephen, and what's left
28:16 - The website, and we put out another question to listeners,
30:59 - The Magic Number
33:59 - Responses to our new question? From listeners?
35:15 - Listener guesses at what The Magic Number is
36:18 - Dr Ben, goodbyes, and a shoutout to the guy who was on after us<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/bjsproductionsbristol/~4/sI35DeQJcnY" height="1" width="1"/>

Music and Waffle Show - 5th May 2010

<itunes:author>Ben Park, James Wilson, Stephen Gardner</itunes:author>

It's the third week in, and Ben has actually bothered to make the "Previously on The Music and Waffle Show..."

"Magic Numbers" or "THE Magic Number"?
Whatever our competition is called, we've been let down again.
Someone has stolen the bowl with keys in it, so what are we going to use this time?

What did you do on the bank holiday weekend? James got annoyed at people not finishing things they've started, while on holiday in Barcelona.

If anyone knows the local areal, it's Donald McDonald Donald, with his local news broadcasting experience. He brings the most current informational services available, as they were at the time of broadcast.

We've got James Wilson's best mate back on the show, for the deepest, most-probing view of your horoscopes ever.

Stephen plays a terrible record, but is his terrible record, worse than Ben's terrible joke about it?
And is that worse than Stephen's terrible "big news" about Danielle Lloyd?

At the weekend, Ben watched a dancing tree cut down in his prime, then stole the leaves with the rest of the angry mob. Why? He's not 100% sure.
He also went on a scarecrow hunt. Worzel Gummidge was not harmed during this.

We're not meant to show undue favour towards any one particular political party, and have to remain unbiased and impartial at all times.
Which is why we've decided to talk about candidates massively outside of our broadcast area, who our listeners couldn't vote for if they wanted to.
Obviously they're also both as good as each other.
(Also, by the time this podcast is out, the polling stations will have long since closed.)

Podcast Timings

00:00 - Previously on the show, what's on this show? And what's happened to the Magic Number?
06:00 - James goes abroad, and people not finishing things
11:41 - Donald McDonald
16:14 - Pirate world records, and what haven't you finished?
21:29 - BrianStorm, and more of "what haven't you finished?"
25:52 - Stephen's terrible music, what's left in this show? And Danielle Lloyd
28:58 - Dancing trees, and hunting scarecrows
32:59 - 'The Magic Number' competition
35:37 - Political pirates and Magic Number guesses from the listeners
39:42 - Dr Ben
45:26 - Goodbyes, and has anyone won the competition?<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/bjsproductionsbristol/~4/LIiuZlBbyAk" height="1" width="1"/>

Music and Waffle Show - 28th April 2010

<itunes:author>Ben Park, James Wilson, Stephen Gardner</itunes:author>

It's the second week of us broadcasting on the all-new GlossFM, and Ben gets called lazy, despite spending the entire previous day working on the show.

Has Stephen gone posh? "Parster" or "paassed-er"?

Ever done something you shouldn't, that you hadn't admitted to, until now?
James has had a little accident, that he owns up about on air.

Donald McDonald Donald has all the latest news. If only everyone would let him get through it without interruptions.

Ben and Stephen have been to a secret event organised by social networking.
They can't talk about it for personal reasons.
James has been to a secret political event. We can't talk about that either, without risking giving undue prominence to a political party, in the middle of an election.

The friendly pirates return with tales of their new courier business. It's not going hugely well.

We've been reading the newspapers. Stephen's got a story about something political he wants to read, and Ben rants about irons. James thinks that hoverboards used to exist.

We've got a big competition this week. But how many keys are in the bowl?

Dr Ben answers a listener's question this week related to an inch-high monster.

*Other VoIP services are available. Other political parties are available. Other religions are available. Other snackfoods (other than Snickers) are available. Other soap operas to disturb your newsreadering, are available.

James has had a little accident, that he owns up about on air.

Donald McDonald Donald has all the latest news. If only everyone would let him get through it without interruptions.

Music and Waffle Show - 21st April 2010

<itunes:author>Ben Park, James Wilson, Stephen Gardner</itunes:author>

It's Wednesday the 21st of April, and we're back, with another run of The Music and Waffle Show, on the all-new radio station - GlossFM.

Stephen kicks off with some big local news, which Ben is really, really excited about.

James has got a problem with his trousers. But will they fall down during the show?
James hasn't had a problem with the "runs" before. But he's feeling a bit awkward as he can't look down on Ben anymore.

Donald McDonald is back with all the latest news, including the "News Anchor of the Year", exploding mashed potato, and a local man who gets the key to the city.

We've got a big competition this week, where winners can win huge prizes. It's called "The Magic Number", it involves a sock and coins, and it requires the use of the webcam. Unfortunately, the webcam was broken.

Ben stops listening to Stephen during a long link, and completely ruins a perfectly formed link. Then he shows up both his, and James' knowledge of jazz music.

Dr Ben is also here to solve a listener's problem. Well, he's not actually with us - he's on the phone, because he's in LA. And that's Long Ashton, Bristol, BS41 - not Los Angeles. He's a bit down on his luck.

Podcast Timings

00:00 - Intro, apologies in advance, James' trousers, and what's on the show?
05:55 - Why there's no "previously" today, Ben stands up, cruise control, and the listener phone-in kicks off
10:04 - Donald McDonald
14:08 - Listeners reply to our question, Stephen's hairy nature,
15:57 - Wilso's reality check
20:10 - News about our competition, and what's left on the show?
22:38 - John Cleese, ruining the illusions, school trips and weapons
27:27 - The Magic Number
29:40 - Ben's knowledge of jazz, and we start another listener phone-in,
32:43 - Listener guesses at our competition
34:13 - Dr Ben
41:02 - Goodbyes, and we talk to the guy on after us.<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/bjsproductionsbristol/~4/8dEtsud_RaI" height="1" width="1"/>

Music and Waffle Show - 25th November 2009

<itunes:author>Ben Park, James Wilson, Stephen Gardner</itunes:author>

Ben's lost a Weetabix. But where is it?
We put that question to our listeners.

"HipHop Classics" - our feature where we play a classic hip hop record that we get from the safe - isn't happening this time, because the safe is jammed shut. We've booked an engineer, but they're not going to get here in time. What the hell are we going to do instead?

Donald McDonald Donald is back with all the latest news regarding big bloggers, the world's best facials, and celebrities spotted locally.

Ben's been to Chippenham this week. His girlfriend's sister owns a house that is opposite the one where Ben grew up. Spooky.
Still, he didn't have as bad a time in Chippenham as James did last time he was there.

We've had some constructive criticism regarding several parts of last week's show. Always the professionals, we debate this live on air, and Stephen donates some money to charity.

Jim Borehamwood is back with a preview of another club banger. You heard it here first.

We round off with Dr Ben who phoned in from LA. He's got some helpful advice for a listener.

Podcast Timings

00:00 - Intro, and "previously"
02:33 - Weetabix, and what's on this show?
05:01 - Chippenham, spooky, BIG criticism of the show,
11:23 - Donald McDonald Donald
15:36 - Our profiles, James' spooky coincidence down under
18:24 - The station name change, we start the listener phone in, and Will Ferrell
23:01 - HipHop Classics' replacement, and James gropes Stephen
26:37 - Listener responses to our question,
28:20 - Start of second live hour, what's left in the show, shopping, christmas cards and Leona Lewis
31:49 - More Leona Lewis, glamour models, and diets,
35:20 - Jim Borehamwood, and Stephen donates some money,
41:40 - More listener coincidences, Mika gets bitten in the eye,
44:47 - James sits down, tells everyone how to get into us, and Ben plays an exclusive remix he's made on FM radio for the first time ever,
46:48 - Mariah Carey or James. Which is the bigger diva?
49:22 - Dr Ben, goodbyes, and who was on after us, when we did this live?<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/bjsproductionsbristol/~4/i_zvJ0eFPcA" height="1" width="1"/>

Music and Waffle Show - 18th November 2009

<itunes:author>Ben Park, James Wilson, Stephen Gardner</itunes:author>

Where did James go on his week off? Turns out he's been hanging out with the old-money rich folk.

Turns out that Belle de Jour in real life, is a doctor working in Bristol. Well done us, for bagging a big celebrity.
James and Stephen clearly weren't that bothered, as they kept interrupting Ben while he was talking about it, but we asked our listeners, who they would be, if they could be anybody from a book/film or TV show.

Donald McDonald has some massive local news about a new local currency, hacking, and religious figures showing up in fried breakfasts.

Stephen sends Ben off to find a record for HipHop Classics, but Ben isn't able to get it after all. He did find a massive wheel in the car park though.
We also forgot to play the opening jingle at the start, but we don't think anyone noticed.

What's the big new word of the year? Some etymologists have got together, to decide.
Talking of things people are no longer using in general society, whatever happened to Jedward dolls?

Poor pelicans. They swoop, and get the blame for major car crashes.

Dr Ben phones in to help a listener with their tricky love problem, but Stephen doesn't think much to the great doctor's methods.

24:13 - Jim Borehamwood,

Music and Waffle Show - 11th November 2009

<itunes:author>Ben Park, James Wilson, Stephen Gardner</itunes:author>

We started this show with some problems.
First, Stephen deafening the entire audience, and everyone in the studio.
And his £2,000 fake-sheepskin coat has been ruined in the rain. Apparently.
Then we all start clapping like Steve Wright's gang.

We for some reason start slagging off Radiohead's weirder stuff.

James has some time off from his main job, and he's worried he'll just waste it, like Stephen and Ben have been doing for the last few months.

When a CD player refuses to play a disc live on-air, Ben and James jump to the defence of Stephen's choice of CDs. Touching, really.

A man has been fined for dropping a matchstick. What punishment should he have got?

Donald McDonald brings you all the latest local news, including stories about police wrongdoing, big lottery winners, and driving tests.

There's a feature called Hip Hop Classics this week. Unfortunately, Ben has to go and get the CD from the vault, during the feature.*
*And the song has been cut from the podcast.

There has been some ridiculously big lottery wins this week.
But what would you buy if you won a stupidly huge amount of money?
Breast implants? Panties? A house?

Jim Borehamwood has come in to tell us about the biggest club bangers right now.
And to give a shout out to two other presenters on the station.

Ben wants to play a Kirsty MacColl remix. Sadly, we've only got an old classic one we've played before.

Dr Ben phones in from LA (the American one - not Long Ashton) to help with another listener problem. Despite postal strikes, listener letters are somehow still getting to us.

Podcast Timings

00:00 - Intro, previously on the show, and what's on the show?
05:53 - Radiohead, James' free time, and Stephen's problematic CD
10:01 - Matchstick fines, and listener suggestion (singular) about James' time
13:30 - Donald McDonald Donald
17:50 - James' vertical challenges, and another listener suggestion re his time off
19:35 - Hip Hop Classics and more suggestions for James' time off
24:28 - What's left in the show?
27:38 - Big huge massive news, and what would you do it you won millions?
32:51 - Jim Borehamwood

<itunes:subtitle>Big, huge, massive lottery wins, Donald McDonald, James' timewasting and Jim Borehamwood's club bangers.</itunes:subtitle>
<itunes:summary>We started this show with some problems.

Music and Waffle Show - 4th November 2009

<itunes:author>Ben Park, James Wilson, Stephen Gardner</itunes:author>

It's late, so cast your minds back.

It's late, so cast your minds back.
It's 4th November 2009, we've got a new aerial, and we're broadcasting on FM all the way from Thornbury town centre in sunny South Gloucestershire, to...err..well...a bit further than we did before. Maybe not as far as Ben would like.

James is back, and he's trying something new by talking into the wrong end of the microphone for half of the show.

Stephen wasn't chauffeured to the studio by Ben. That's because James has finally passed his driving test and got himself a classic car. It's a Fiat Punto, as seen on The Inbetweeners.

What's the sexiest accent? Maybe it's the one used by local newscaster Donald McDonald Donald? Who knows.

Just how do you induce birth? Well, as the only member of the show to be featured in a sex education video, James should be the one to ask.

HipHop Classics is back. Unfortunately we've removed the song for copyright purposes, but half the fun is in how well executed and well prepared that part of the show is.

We shamelessly shoehorn in some filler 'gold'. Out of date horoscopes anyone?

What have you lost? Ben's misplaced the box for his Wurzels' greatest hits album.

We've got Susan Boyle's new single on the show today, and James reviews the Michael Jackson film. Stephen is really excited to hear all about it.

Ben's had a free show off his neighbours. He thought it was a bit over the top really. He's been feeling queasy too.

And lastly, we've got a new guy on the show called Jim Borehamwood. His main purpose is to tell us what the big new club track is, on any given week.
(Obviously we've cut most of it out the podcast so we don't get sued for sharing music, but you get the general idea.)

Podcast timings:

00:00 - Intro, and "previously" on the show
02:38 - The big new aerial, The Poo Fighters' greatest hits album, and what's on this show?
07:23 - James' driving ability, sexy accents, question to the listeners
12:50 - Donald McDonald Donald's local news
16:36 - James' terrible music taste, responses from the listeners, inducing birth and James' sex education videos
21:35 - Hip. Hop. Classics. And more listener emails
24:18 - Illness, what else is in this show, and another question to listeners
29:47 - Susan Boyle's new single, James reviews Michael Jackson film,
33:08 - Brian Storm 'gold', more emails from listeners, and Stephen has good news for James
40:21 - Jim Borehamwood, apologies, and goodbyes.
47:44 - END.<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/bjsproductionsbristol/~4/qpsdNU-02RY" height="1" width="1"/>

<itunes:subtitle>Ben finally uploads part 1 of 4 from the last series of The Music and Waffle Show. Enjoy.</itunes:subtitle>

If you heard the news that the remaining members of The Beatles were remastering their old stuff again, and thought "Boo! They're flogging a dead horse! Bloody el!", then you should hear the original unremastered version of "The Long and Winding Road". We've left it in for podcast listeners - completely unedited. Pretty much.

James has fallen out with the council, Royal Mail, and people in duffle coats. He's also struggling to keep up with the youngsters of today, and might be smuggling illegal immigrants via taxi.

Ben's improved his working situation, but he has got a problem with alcoholism, which is odd for someone who is practically teetotal.

Despite the fact that we've had complaints that Apple conversation is coma-inducingly-boring, we can't resist taking some time to talk about the new iPod nano.

James has a problem with his pumping. It's possible he has to stick it in a different angle, and not too deep.

There's a lot of debate about Derren Brown's balls. It'll likely all be resolved by the time anyone hears this podcast.

Ben and James debate how dreams work with some very high-pitched arguing. Maybe they're not recorded in the right order, like a film or TV series?
Like...your brain does the opening credits after it's shot the action scenes and edits it back in at the beginning...or something?

We're unable to do any rummaging because someone has taken the boxes away, and Ben receives a text message which distracts James.

Podcast timings

00:00 - Intro, and another intro
01:38 - James' highlight of the week, the council, royal mail, duffle coats and alcoholism
09:30 - Eurythmics, Apple chat
11:47 - Ben's highlight of the week, Welsh things, James' pumping problems,
16:35 - Derren Brown's balls, Ricky Gervais and Karl Pilkington
29:07 - Ben's dreams, Twitter,
36:05 - 'For The Shortest Time' build-up, not rummaging and goodbyes

Requestline 27th August 2009

<itunes:author>Ben Park, James Wilson, Stephen Gardner</itunes:author>

In the week that James opens with some advice for people looking to choose a new car, he's umming and erring on the side of caution.

Ben's new feature might be endorsed by the eating disorder charity "Beat"*, but James isn't too happy with the subject matter.
*No, it isn't!

Ben struggles for a highlight but goes into a lot of detail about window frames.
Big Brother is ending. Yay!
But not for another year. Boo!
X-Factor has started again. James is excited. Ben isn't watching it.

James gets to call someone else gay for a change. He does it in a very butch manner, but then debates the size of Mr Blackpool's organ.

Milkshake brings all the kids (and James) to the Hippodrome.
There's also some debate about how the song "heads, shoulders, knees and toes" might go.

Ben develops an odd speech impediment before the show is finished. Luckily he hasn't kept it since.

Podcast timings

01:46 - Highlights of the week, X-Factor, radio articles, stage presence
10:05 - James' manager, polygamy, Big Brother party, The Cube and Mr. Blackpool's organ
16:41 - Milkshake, Hi:5 and Babestation Aerobics
24:05 - Billy Allen and flatulence
27:09 - "Thin or Fat", fat-related news, the Which reviews of high-street shops, Apple-store chat
