So here is the story on why I am giving away one……. It's simple to expose more to a product that is currently helping me and many of my friends get into better shape every day. Being healthy is very hard to attain…. take it from me a guy that has battled chronic issues for most of his adult life from gut issues to neck pain issues etc… Taking the time to get in shape sometimes takes motivation we do not have at the end of the day and for some the Fitbit will and can be that motivating factor. This comes from others that have them and the support network or simply from your friends that might have one and can harass you endlessly till you get off the couch.

How do you qualify to win the thing… it's simple… reshare this post and tag it with #fitbitgivaway – then post a comment in this thread about why you want one…. It can be simple or long and drawn out… This is also a great way to find out more about others with possibly the same goals here on G+….

I do not normally pimp out products I sell in my other jobs – but this one is worth a look if you are in the market for a heavy duty cover for the back of your pickup.. I use everything I sell – the eat your own dog food theory of sales…

Some models are great for tools and storage and others you can carry up to two ATV's on top of your truck vs. hauling around a trailer. They will even coat them in LineX if you want…

So we photographers face a huge issue with online storage… that of internet bandwidth.

When I recently rebuilt my computer that dooms me with my online backup supplier as when you rebuild your system it needs to re-upload all the data associated with that machine or items attached to it. This re-upload is usually massive and with high bandwidth connections these days can destroy your monthly limit as shown below….

Just something for everyone to keep in mind as we all move more items offsite… I know this is not a new topic – but sadly many of us our trying to do the right thing only to be limited by our ISP's.

This does not even take into consideration my other normal uses for internet – and this use will abate after the initial upload… but it is something to very much worry about in your backup strategy…

About the Project:

The Challenge: Do one shoot for each week of 2012 for under $50 a shoot. This includes everything: model fees, location fees, hair, makeup, and wardrobe for the shoot production. The only thing not included is post processing because most photographers do their own retouching at no cost.

The Rules: I can use any of my existing equipment. If I need to use some special equipment, then the cost of that equipment comes out of the $50. I can do trade shoots with models. The cost of locations, equipment rental, makeup artist fees, etc., can be spread over several shoots so long as the average does not exceed the $50 limit.

The Output: I will post all the data with details on how I pulled it off, or in case of failure what went wrong. I intend to include behind the scenes shots of the actual lighting setups I use. I’ll post all the images from the shoot so you can see all the different things, angles and ideas I tried. Separately, I will also post the edited, final, retouched, ready-to-deliver images so you can see the net result. I think this will give everyone the best overall view of the process.

My Goal: I want this to be as transparent as possible, so if you think I need to add something or explain something better, let me know. I want to prove that with planning, thought and some deal making you can shoot for very little money and still produce stunning images.

Please Note: Some shoots will include tasteful nudity. I will be producing shoots that fall into several genres: fashion, glamour, art nudes, portrait and whatever else strikes my fancy.
