500px.com is about to open their new marketplace…..hmmmm

I am sure I know the answer to this portion of their promo email, but I really need some clarifications:

M suggestion to avoid confusion about Watermarks etc is to explain why…. because I have spent a ton of time already doing all this prep and uploading photos to 500px.com – I really do not want to have to do it all again with only 3 sentences of information and none of them explain why….

I have already been through one market experience on 500px – Can we all get some clarification on the why we should redo our potentially large archive of uploaded content before asking us all to redo it for yet another market experience we have no real details about…

Hate to sound like a jerk – but I was looking forward to this potentially being my place to sell images…. we need more info and a bit less vagueness, or at least I do before I redo my entire library…

So here is the story on why I am giving away one……. It's simple to expose more to a product that is currently helping me and many of my friends get into better shape every day. Being healthy is very hard to attain…. take it from me a guy that has battled chronic issues for most of his adult life from gut issues to neck pain issues etc… Taking the time to get in shape sometimes takes motivation we do not have at the end of the day and for some the Fitbit will and can be that motivating factor. This comes from others that have them and the support network or simply from your friends that might have one and can harass you endlessly till you get off the couch.

How do you qualify to win the thing… it's simple… reshare this post and tag it with #fitbitgivaway – then post a comment in this thread about why you want one…. It can be simple or long and drawn out… This is also a great way to find out more about others with possibly the same goals here on G+….

So just a quick note on the performance of the extended battery and the case I purchased for my Galaxy Nexus

This battery and new cover do increase battery life – I have been taking screenshots on days when I run for hours just to give myself an idea of what types of performance I am seeing as you can tell from them it is all over the place based on what I am using the phone for…

SAMSUNG GALAXY NEXUS DEFENDER SERIES CASE

The interesting part about this case is the screen protector that drove me nuts in the first day and I decided to just remove it. It seems to really dim screen resolution quality and since I really do not need that much protection for how I use my phone, removal was not an issue. Gladly Otterbox makes it very easy to remove. Be warned there is really no going back from removal, other than ordering another case.

This case also does work with the above extended battery installed. Many complain about the rubberized case being to “sticky” I find that crazy talk as I want it to be just that – vs. it flying across my truck when I hit the brakes.

So far my overall impression with the phone is very positive… not so impressed with the camera low light performance thou…which is saldy very normal on most phones I have used.

of course using it is not for the faint of heart… either from the reality of how much tracking is out there in the world and how much we rely on scripting to run the web…. but from the usability side where extensions like this will and do break many many sites…..but we have needed this for some time.. and thanks to andryou.com for putting it together….

Google+ Android app gets a speed boost

Today, we’ve made available a new version of Google+ for Android that includes significant performance improvements across the board, so your stream and photos (and just about everything else) should load more quickly.

In addition:

- The "What's hot" stream is now available
- You can see who has +1'd a post or comment
- Photos in "From your Circles" scroll for-e-ver
- We truncate lengthy posts and comments in stream view
- Stream no longer jumps to the top for an automatic refresh
